Both Godzilla vs. Kong and its sequel, Godzilla vs. the New Empire, depict Kong, the titular giant hero, in his mature, prime form. In his first appearance, he was over 100 feet tall; in the fifty or so years since then, his height has more than tripled, reaching 103 metres, or 337 feet. As a result, we learned that Kong is actually one of hundreds of extant individuals of his kind and that we got to observe other great apes in GxK. The other huge apes we met were all surprisingly little in comparison to our gigantic hero, though. Even though he is roughly 5 metres shorter than Kong, the Tyrant Skar king is the tallest of them all. The question then becomes: why aren't any great apes as towering as Kong? In this video, we'll look at five ways in which he dwarfs all other apes.
