Players being nice to you must be a myth because I play as a female and, unless I’m in defensive mode, I always get killed by anyone. This might be just my own experience but no one ever helped me nor spared me, and trust me I’ve been playing a lot

It’s pretty funny because I’ve met other female characters in the game and it’s this manly voice that comes from the character. Also the amount of guys I scare when they hear an actual female voice out of a female character is pretty fun. Once I had this guy give me a perfect pelt and when I said thank you over voice chat he came back and said “you don’t need this pelt you need this legendary spirit bear pelt instead” he was very nice.

Thirsty people probably think it's a real girl and want to do their best to impress even if there's the slightest chance there's a girl.

As an actual woman IRL... I can seriously tell you've never really spoken to female gamers before. We could EASILY tell you that being a female in an online world is inheritently different not only in a Storymode setting but in a public setting. They only captured what is real life.

I love the way the bandits/enemies interact/speak about/to a female character, saying things like "its been a while since I've killed a woman" or "put a bullet in this b****** head". I get a kick out of it every time. I am pretty sure I heard one say "if shes alive after this is done leave her to me". I'm glad its not the same voice lines for both genders, really makes a game feel more immersive.

I get chased and lassoed by dudes. Usually they won’t kill me, just harass me ;-; but I’ve also met male players who are pretty cool and “protective,” which can be nice sometimes

One of my favorite things about being a female playing on RDR2 online is the npc lines from random strangers: the friendly "how do you do miss," I don't know if that is just me but I find it fun.

I have a female character because I am a woman I love the fact they had this option most games dont and lately they have been adding female characters to new games because more and more woman are playing I only been playing the story mode but just recently made my character online and love it. More options is great. Love that u can do different ethnicities on the characters too.

The NPCs will say different things to you when your in a shoot out such as “ i’m man enough to shoot a woman” Or “ i’ll put you on your knees Woman” I’m sure their are a few more but I hear those ones quite often while playing

I'm so glad they didn't let males use the women's clothing. When you say everyone is so much nicer to female characters, do you mean players or npc? Pretty much every night I have players shooting at me or blowing up my horse, and those aren't the harassment I get a few times a week from hackers. Their invisible walls, trapping me in place, throwing my horse on to a firepit and the horse actually burns up and dies. Spawning a bunch of people to attack my camp and then shutting down my game and rockstar launcher. People are not nice to my character at all in this game. I try to stay clear of other players, and I keep my white flag up, and my defensive mode on, but they don't care. They'll just keep harassing me until I get fed up and leave for the night.

Im a female who plays as a female in red dead and guys either kill me on sight or try to befriend me in the hopes of impressing me. I once had a dude invite me to his posse, help me with a bunch of bounties, and literally hunted for me. It was sweet but kindof weird ngl.

The minute I log in I scramble to get into defensive mode bcuz the min I see someone they usually try to kill me. The first time I logged in I was relaxing by the lake trying to get a nice pic and someone snuck up behind me and killed me. Scared the hell out of me. Lol. Griefers suck wether male or female imo. I deleted my old character and created a new female and character and oh my god. I think I just created the most attractive RDO character of all time and I didn't even think it was possible. Best decision ever.

as a female that plays both genders, my male character automatically gets so much more respect and i'll take that perk over makeup and skirts any day

As a male who plays as a female character with a female psn name, i had already played as Arthur and John, why cant i play as a female in online?? Niceness has nothing to do with whether your a male or female in game, either you're nice or you're not. Im nice, so i do things like putting 3* panthers on randoms horses, maybe help clear a hideout then leave. My favorite parr of being a female character online is the compliments you get from npcs, "how could i forget my prettiest customer ", or just the courteous greetings you get from them. Just my 2 cents.

yeah being "extra nice" is never a guy's intention when it comes to females they're always looking for something in return but of course you wouldn't really know what that's like since you're a guy

This is basically the same type of surprisingly new things you find if you play as a male character for the first time. They have a lot of awesome freaking stuff that we don't have., I really really really want Dutch's jacket with the gold chain and shit. Would go amazingly well with my collector belt

I normally play a female in RPGs and games where you can make one mainly for aesthetic reasons. Some RPGs gender lock classes too which is a factor to consider. So sometimes, female is better no matter your real life gender. But when it comes to cosmetic only? I normally go female, and I don't think I need to say why. But in games like Skryim or ESO or whatever, I usually play female when I take a magic type of play through. Female magic users are just better imo.

So I made an ALT account and made a girl on RDO, but nobody helped me out. Still toxic griefers and KOS kiddies after me, ye clothing is diff, but I'm not really bothered if I look like $100k or not. All in all, whatever gender you play as, you're gonna get the FULL RDO experience.

The most reason for me to play a female character is when you dress your avator by high heels shoes, she will looks taller than any male character. No matter GTAV or RDR2. Because the male and famale characters' basic stature is the same.

The sad thing is that with any kind of online game, there's no real assurance that you won't run into the jerks or creeps who have no filter for what they say or do. A lot of respect and genuine kindness and sportsmanship can be thrown out the window with online games. There's not always a whole lot of consideration for the other person, only one's self and what they want to do to have fun. Part of me thinks that playing this game online could be really fun, but also really frustrating and depressing if your constantly being stomped on by other players. Its a very mixed bag, no matter if you play as a female character or male. If you find your own little possy to team up with who got your back when you play together, maybe that would be a little more reasuring, and fun. LOL, imagine a group of gal gungslingers strollin' down the street and smacking however tries to be a jerk to any of their team XD

From my experience it seems like most sweaty griefers level 400+ use skimpy female characters compared to the males.

I have a Female character. Her name is Luna. She is beautiful and well rounded. I mainly help my friend lvl up and teach him new things. He plays as a male tho.

You know I got help from someone with a female character and I did not care that it was a female character and I helped her with putting the animals on her horse because 1 she helped me very much. 2 because SHE hunted them down so she deserved it.

They didn't treat me nicer especially early in the beta. But even now, I get trolled constantly to the point that if I'm not in a posse I stay in defensive mode.
