I got myself a 13 inch macbook pro in 2015. It was perfect for studying, all day battery life, lightweight and sturdy. In fact, I still use it as my main computer and, except for the almost-dead battery, it's doing great for my everyday tasks. So yeah, it's a no brainer. Best product I ever purchased.

I went from Intel 2020 MacBook Air and went straight to the M2 MacBook Air 15 inch with 24GB Ram and 256 SSD storage and its a definite powerhouse

Would you recommend the M2 over the M1 for a 240€ difference?

Both M2/M1 MBA are very capable devices. While the processing power is not too far off between M1 and M2 (about a 20% increase in performance with the M2) I do think *there is value added* in new design, safety features such as magsafe, a slightly larger screen, longer macOS support due to it being a newer generation device(apple typically phases out their older products 5 - 7 years in terms of macOS support)
