Luka will have time to rest, and I really hope he will pay attention to his weight to protect his knees.. It's my biggest fear. I hope he will react like Joker did when he decided to lose weight and work more physically, to be more efficient and to protect his body. He must stop complaining too if he wants MVP.. He doesn't give a good image of him and I think Americans can't understand his passion.. I love this guy, but I must admit he can exasperate me too even if I'm French. I'm a fan of rugby and the respect of Refereeings are important in my sport, even if they are not so good as they have to be or not very honnests. If medias begann critisizing his defense is perrhaps because they didn't want him to have MVP next season, and that they know that his good prestations in play offs and finals could give him an advantade. But it's sure he can défend and he will prove it next season, because he will have more support in attack. Klay will help to developpe young players and I'm so happy to watch how Lively will grow up with him. They lost finals because of Kyrie, he totally gave up, too much pression for him against Boston. Klay will compensate if Kyrie is so emotive. For me Luka desserved it in 2023 and it's difficult to say if he was better than Joker this season, but Joker said Luka desserved it more than him.. The next seasons will be more exciting, few teams will be better.

This team won’t be making the finals again they caught a bit of luck last year. A older Kyrie and Klay just isn’t getting it done in the west. NBA is a copy cat league, you’re gonna see more teams shift towards matching up bigs on non shooters like the Celtics did and matchup hunting both of which are the Achilles heel of the Mavs, not to mention they don’t have flexibility with their roster construction moving forward. This team reminds me of the Cavs from the late 2000s but with worse defense because of Luka.

You said Luka was the MVP this year, but how does he win with no defense. The main reason Dallas was able to run a faster offense was because of Kylie. Before Kyrie, Luka was very ball dominant while his teammates stood around watching the Luka show. If Luka doesn't learn to play offense, there's a good chance he will be exposed again in the playoffs.
