This was the video I needed to watch. I've been stuck as to what to pursue for phd after my masters - I just know I don't want to work in the lab (working with harsh chemicals) and I've been leaning towards Machine Learning / Data Science in my current field. So this video is just what I needed. I'll take some short courses to brush up on the fundamentals in the second half of the year. Then apply for phd positions.
