Thank you for the tips! I hired my 12 year old to share my closet and to share items from 3 Posh Parties a week (one hour per party) and I make multiple sales a week now. Hiring an assistant definitely helps! Now I have time to take product photos, create new listings, etc.
I also have my items priced a little high and I'm glad you pointed that out and the reason why I did that was because I assumed people would make offers but I suppose the high-priced can scare people off
I’ve been selling on Poshmark for 6 weeks now. I made 50 sales so far. My tips is to share your own items only. I don’t share others. I noticed that when I share my items in parities, I get tons of sales. Also, take as much photos of the item as you can. Make sure u have good lighting and take measurements as well. Lastly, make sure to mention any flaws

bad business practice sweetheart. you don't share other, then they won't share yours. Not too smart when you have a small amount of followers compared to others who often have twice as many

Is Poshmark Nationwide? If it's Winter in Chicago it's going to be Hot in California, Florida, Nevada, etc. When you say Wrong season, whose season? Unless listings are shown just where the Lister lives.
Yes! Poshmark is nationwide and you are totally right, there will be some area's in the USA where the summer clothes can sell even if it is winter time. Also, if anyone is going on vacation to somewhere warm and it's winter they may also be shopping off-season! In general though, sales will pick up for sweaters, jeans, boots, etc. in the fall and winter and sales will decrease for shorts, dresses, sandals, etc. just because for a lot of areas in the USA it is not the right season for those items. This is just my experience though and I do sell items for all seasons all year round. I just don't expect as many summer-style sales (or at least not high priced summer-style sales) in an off season.
What if I have a bunch of clothes I want to sell, but they're not a famous brand, just regular XYZ brand? Am I wasting my time trying to sell my clothes?

Hi! Unfortunately you have to share each listing individually. There is no bulk share option. If sharing gets to be too much, definitely consider hiring a VA (virtual assistant). They aren’t too expensive and can save you a ton of time.
To everyone out their, if you want your items to be listed fast and accurate, which boosts your sales, let me know we provide VA's who can do it on your behalf, so that you can have more sales more time for thrifting
And when none of these work then what? Literally none of this is helpful at all. I've been doing this for years! I'm tired of ppl not addressing certain things like the app isn't for those that NEED money(hence non high end brands not selling much). Its said about other apps but time is wasted on poshmark because ppl actas if its like Mercari. Nike, Levi's, Puma, BeBe, Michael Kors... none of these are selling in my closet. Even perfectly listed luxury brand items don't always sell becausssssse its a social site... This is more evident with the fact those who socialize more sell more and that almost every tip video is done by a certain type of woman... Certain type of ppls def prefer to buy from those who are attractive(not necessarily "pretty" or "handsome"..) and perky. Lets be f'ing real. I'll get reported for getting specific with the truth so I'll just add I wish it was a more honest app with more honest ambassadors and was less reflective of the CEO🤢

I've been on poshmark for 2 weeks now and I feel like sharing 4 times a day 5 times each item and no sales... im so confused I feel like I'm doing everything right and I have not made a single sale. Descriptions are thorough and title names are not boring. No sales so far. Please advice is so helpful

I really appreciate these tips I have close to three hundred items and I'm trying to sell some more items before going out again because a while ago I made a mistake and I bought too many things at one time but I have it under control now I keep cost of goods really low I'm just trying to make up that money and then we don't have a ton of space so most of these items are in boxes and cross-posted and it's a little overwhelming

Thank you for the video but I’m confused you said not price too high but yet you said to buffer the price Poshmark to me is too exhausting I offer to likers all the time to the point of making nothing by the time Poshmark takes their 20 percent off
Hi Lyndie! I agree, pricing certainly can be tricky. You have to find that sweet spot between not overpricing and giving yourself enough room to send offers. I typically price my items for 20% higher than I wish to sell them for and try to stick within the range of comparable sold prices for that item. For example, if I am going to sell an Express sweater and I see they typically sell on Poshmark for around $16, I will price my item at $20. This will give me room to send offers and the pricing is competitive with other similar items on Poshmark. The Poshmark fee is quite high so it is important to pick up items that you can either price quite high or that you did not pay much for - that way you can make money even after sending offers and the 20% poshmark fees. So for the sweater from my example, I would not want to pay more than $1 in cost for an express sweater to resell. If the sweater sells for $16 I would make $11.80 after poshmark fees and cost of goods. That profit is within the range I am looking for but it is totally up to you to decide what kind of profit you are looking for and to pick up items that will sell for a high enough price to give you your desired profit. I've been on Poshmark mark 3 weeks now and have sold 10 items! My items are lower priced $8-$65 but that's because I'm literally just selling used and unused items that I already own. I plan on thrifting or something to get more items soon but so far this is what's working for me, I share at least 2 times if not more everyday, I try to post 2-6 items everyday or so and share in showrooms as much as possible! Also I try to take pictures as if there is no description and give a description like there is no pictures! Happy poshing everyone! 💕
Nice tips! Being able to self promote on poshmark is awesome, but so time consuming... I'm able to share both my closets at least twice a day (not too may items) but I have to focus more. Great video :D

I always list the brand name in the title and I list measurements I also take pictures of any special embellishments and try to max out my descriptions. I’ve also noticed that my sales come in spurts lately I’ve been selling 4-5 items a week
Share it where? And how? I can see that some ppl have shared some of my items but I don’t know how to share. There’s a tab that says, “they shared your item. Now share theirs”. So, I do that. But I’m not seeing how to share my own. I’m just starting. I have about 8 necklaces/bracelets listed but I have thousands more to list. I don’t want to put in the time if things don’t sell. What's a good way to make a closet appeal to a certain demographic? I'm a brand new Posher selling my late grandmother's clothes, (in addition to my own old clothes and thrifting finds) and not many of them are vintage, but they are somewhat recent, by reputable brands, and are in good condition. I work at a clothing store aimed at mature women, and a lot of the clothes don't look much different than what sells there. So I want to try to really appeal to mature women Poshers. What's a good way to grab a certain demographic's attention?
I would recommend watching the whole video but this is what I got out of it. (It's the basic terms) 1. Share it multiple time a day 2. You don't have enough items 3. To high of a price 4. Your not selling desirable things 5. A poor quality listing

Ugh. I’ve been on poshmark for almost a week. Sharing my closet many times a day. Absolutely not sales. I know some items aren’t super great but some of them are nice. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any help??
Hi! I'm so sorry for the slow response. Have things got any better for you over the last few weeks? As we get closer to Christmas sales should ramp up a bit. If you are sharing and listing consistently the sales will come. It may take some time as you build up your closet.
This was so helpful! The VA suggestion is one I will be exploring! I increased the times I share about a month ago, along with following and sharing items from other's closet and I've seen a definite increase in sales!

The sharing of items constantly and following people to get boosted and exposed was why I quit posh. eBay Mercari, Amazon, etc… do not have that annoyance.

Every time I think PoshMark is a fail for me and I’m going to give up - I hate the sharing and price drop thing - suddenly something sells and draws me back. Dropping prices now to test out your suggestions.

Hi! I'm not 100% sure but I believe Poshmark has a sharing limit to prevent bot abuse. If a bot is constantly sharing the same item every few seconds then no other item can be featured at the top of the "just shared" feed which creates an unfair disadvantage for anyone that doesn't have that bot. At least with a sharing limit, the playing field is equal in terms of the top number of shares an account can do a day.
When I go to share an item, I am only able to share to my followers. Is there a way to share to all of Poshmark? And do items have to be shared one at a time?
Hi! I'm sorry for the slow reply! When you share an item to your followers it also brings the item to the top of search for all of Poshmark. For example, if you have a pair of Agolde jeans and you share them to your followers, it will 1) be shared to your followers news feed and 2) if anybody on Poshmark searches for Agolde jeans your item will now be one of the first items they see. This happens because Poshmark's default search is sorted by "Just Shared". Items will also be sent to the top of search when shared to parties as well. Items can be shared in bulk by using the "Share to Followers" Bulk Listing Actions. This can be found by clicking on your profile (the last tab on the bottom row); going to "My Closet"; Clicking on the little wrench in the top corner of the screen; and clicking the 4th option down "Share to Followers". I hope that helps!
angeltrazo Haha to be fair, I’ve been on the app since 2012, so I’ve had a long time to gain them. Funny thing is that if I had known that you could apply to host posh parties (I thought people were just randomly chosen) I would probably have quite a bit more. Also, I wasn’t a posh ambassador for yearsss because I didn’t realize I hadn’t met the community shares requirement! Whoops lol. I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Hopefully no one takes your advice as Poshmark Bible Truth. This is the third video I've watched and it's not the greatest advice. I also checked out your closet and your sales are kinda trash considering how long you've been doing it.
I have been selling items from a bricks and mortar stores, and later, through our company website (items in our warehouses) going back to the last century! (Yeah, I know, some of you weren't born then, in 1999 I mean ;-), with $ millions in sales. So was just trying to catch a tip here and there, and heard- you must 'share your closet'.. Does that mean in our case "share your warehouse'- with all and sundry? Mind you, NEVER having even been on "poshmark", may explain lots, of what I don't know.. ; LOL
You are so sweet & kind. I say this by how you were trying to be kind in sharing some “hard truths”. I have watched many videos that claim to give you guidance but ultimately, they don’t say much & either promote items to buy on Amazon or promote their closet or a course. Hi! You can share an item by going to a listing on Poshmark, scrolling down past the photos and listing details and clicking the "share" button beside the "like" and "comment" buttons. Alternatively, if you are in someone's closet looking through their listings you can click the share icon on the preview of any listing. It is the arrows icon beside the heart (like) and shopping bag (bundle) icons.
The problem with me is that I only have one listing but it’s because I I can’t buy more stuff to sell, I’m trying to sell this make a profit and with that profit put more things for sell, what do you think
Hi! That's a great strategy to get started in reselling, using the profits from items sold to reinvest in new inventory. It might take a while to get started with only one item but it is possible. Do you have anything else around your house your not using anymore that can be put up for sale?
New to this gig. I need the whole 'sharing' thing explained more clearly. There are only so many ways to share. Aren't you inundating your followers and pinterest and other platforms to the point of crazy? I just don't get that.
Hi! On Poshmark when you share a listing to your followers or to a Poshmark party it also bumps your listing up to the top of the Poshmark search results. For example, if someone is searching for a pair of Hollister jeans on Poshmark the search results are default sorted by “just shared” so all listings recently shared will be at the top of search and most likely to be purchased by that shopper. If you share your items to your followers frequently you dramatically increase your chance of getting your items seen. It will not bother your followers on Poshmark as most people do not look at their feed tab often enough to notice a repeat item. Sharing is necessary to get your items seen frequently in Poshmark search results. I hope that helps!

Hi! Great question! When I refer to sharing I'm talking about to your followers in Poshmark. When you click on the share button on a Poshmark listing the top options are to a "Posh Party" or to "My Followers". Sharing to either of these will bump your listing up in search results.

Hi! When you share your listing on Poshmark you have the option to share it with your followers. This will bump your listing up to the top of Poshmark's search results. It depends on what kind of items your selling but some say 250 active items is a good milestone and sales start really ramping up from there. Since I’m selling mostly bread & butter brands I have found 600 active listings gives me the daily sales I need to do this full time and when I had 800 active listings for a few months that was a really nice sweet spot. It’s challenging to maintain that level of listings though because you’ll sell a bunch of items each day. If your items are mostly fast-selling, desirable brands then the number of active listings you would need would be much lower.
@@BlueConsignment technically, Poshmart is for resellers, and not so much for personal closets. It’s hard to have that amount of items for sale from a person’s wardrobe. Now I know what I don’t sell anything 😂
