If they don’t put God before me and themself. That is a big red flag - if they make God a priority and then put all worry and love into god, then that is the best Green Flag ever
1. They don’t consistently pursue Jesus. Not a committed follower of Jesus. 2. When those you love, don’t love who you’re dating. 3. When you don’t face healthy conflict. 4. When you find it difficult to trust the one you love. 5. When the person you’re dating is leading you away from Jesus.
Pastor Craig is correct, when I was in college I dated a girl who was a lot of "fun," but my friends and parents did not care for her. I knew in the back of my head that she was not morally good for me, fortunately for me she broke up with me, and a few years later I married a woman that became my best friend!
@@melaniemartin730 As a person that's been a youth Leader for decades, that's EXACTLY WHY it should be taught in Mid hi/ High School. I actually was thinking about how I COULD teach this to my current youth group
I’ve had friends date unbelievers who come to Jesus BECAUSE of them. So, there are upsides, and the Bible does mention marriages with unbelievers. - I understand that is a harder path, but is possible if your partner is open to it. And it’s so beautiful to see them come to God. (An example of someone well known is Lee Strobel, who was an atheist and his wife was a Christian). Obviously this is something you have to pray about, and really listen to what God wants for you. I definitely think red flag 5 is the most important one to look out for, so I agree that if someone pulls you away from God then you need to break up with them.
Yes it does happen, but as Christians we are called to be equally yoke so we avoid the hardships that can come with dating an unbeliever. The Bible says in Amos, "How can two walk in one accord if they do not agree." Waiting on what God has for you is so key. God Bless you! Myriam - LC Social Media Team
I'm so glad I found this sermon. I had to break up with someone because of the last red flag. Thank you, I needed the reminder. It's not easy to shut someone out of my life, when in the beginning, I believe it was meant to be. In the end, the Holy Spirit was telling me to get out. I hope someday the reason is revealed to me. My heart is still broken, but I believe it will be healed. All in His timing. God bless! 🙏
I am going through in this kind of situation, it is very painful, it breaks my heart. i know that Jesus will help me to overcome it. Let his will be done.
God, we lift up this guest. We pray that they will experience Your presence in a new way today. Help set their heart upon You and Your Word! May You guide their path towards You, Lord, while deepening their relationship with You. Fill their mind with Your thoughts and ways, and provide community that strengthens their resolve towards You. Renew their mind and fill them with the Holy Spirit for wisdom and discernment to grant understanding of Your nature and character. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I neglected the red flag, 20 yrs later my life is full of regret, however, I have separated from the abusive marriage and totally found complete peace in the Lord God almighty, thank you Pastor
Definitely not what everyone wants to hear but definitely what we need to hear, wish I would of known this before my first marriage, this is definitely the biggest eye opener I've seen in the last couple months🙏🙏🙏 God Bless thank you Life Church❤️
25:08 - This is real. This lesson speaks to me so profoundly. I’ve lived these red flags in my past relationship, and I’m very glad it ended; however, I do miss the friendship we had before times got bad… oh well.

This sermon gave me clarity that I had been looking for. I advise you to listen with an open mind. Especially if you're in a relationship or about to be in one
having a marriage with the wrong person IS very painful to go through, especially when kids are involved. This message is very good and important for everyone. I found this message useful for friendships as well.
Wow, this is a very helpful topic and very comical too! 😮 - This really made me think about my failed marriage to Dave that's leading to dreadful divorce!
Some people have common sense and others don't have common sense. You don't have to ask if he's a Christian, you will see by what says and by his actions.

Please pray for me and my girlfriend, I think we got 2-3 red flags. She's not a genuine christian, though she is interested in it. Please pray for her salvation, even if we won't work out; please pray that she will love Jesus.
Lord, We know the paths You have for us are amazing and so much better than our own. Please guide and strengthen Kenji for his faith in You and help his girlfriend to see Your love through Kenji so she can see You and committee to following You whether it is with Kenji or not. Allow Your Spirit to work in both of them and let them be able to grow in You in Jesus' name Amen. Laura

this video describes EXACTLY what I'm going through!!! My soon-to-be ex-husband is extremely abusive and narcissistic, he had severe anger issues and neglected me. he also emotionally and verbally abused me. I didn't want to believe the warning signs and ignored it, Pastor Craig is right!!!! I'm going to write a book about my experiences about surviving domestic violence and how I'm learning to say no and stand up for myself. Jesus rescued me
❤️Thank you for sharing your story @Allyson! May God continue to give you strength and hope as you move forward from this situation. What the enemy meant for evil, God will use for good! 2 Cor 1:4 -- Jenni
I hope you do. I also was in that kind of relationship, and he even presented as a godly man in the beginning. Ironically enough he introduced me to this channel. But watching this video, I was gonna have him watch it with me, but the opportunity didn't come, as we already were becoming more distant because I insisted on our time together being productive, and not falling into the trap of the "Netflix and chill" equivalent.(I don't have Netflix) I shudder that I could've fallen for the concept that we "need" to get married soon based on 1 Corinthians 7:9. We can all keep learning, and helping each other to live productive lives and avoid such relationships and so on. Be blessed today

This just came at the right time. I went on a date two days ago and after that I had this clarity that this is not the person I would see myself getting married to or being in a committed relationship with. The date went okay but unfortunately most of my friends are not godly so they thought I am really choosy when I said the date was okay butI didn't have that sense of peace deep down and I can't date someone whose heart doesn't belong to Christ. I feel like this message was particularly meant for me. May God see me through as I continue seeking God's kingdom

Hello Melanie! I believe we can always pray for other people who are dating the wrong people. We can also pray for God to speak through us, and to have the courage to reach out to them and to guide them on their next steps! -Mika
Jessica you are not alone... God, I lift up this marriage. I ask that you help them both have the heart and eyes to see each other through your eyes. I pray that you work in them both, giving them a willingness to forgive and seek reconciliation. God, I ask for patience as they navigate how you will work in this marriage and choose to put you first. Protect both of them from ungodly influences that strain their marriage and their trust. Work in and through them to bless each other in this difficult time. In your name, Amen. -- jenni

Melanie Martin Red flags are meant to be warning signs to prevent you from making a bad decision. In other words, you do not really know your choice for a spouse until after the wedding. TeamLC Ronnie
Ask a million questions....how?! You have to be really sold out to God, have a relationship with the Holy Spirit and through his help you can ask spirit-influenced questions that will give you answers that you seek or pointers (red flag). Dating/Courtship period is a time for 'spiritual investigation', it's not a time for going only on dates, to the movies, new restaurants etc don't overlook these. Remember, marriage is a serious matter, so make sure you give it the seriousness it requires. God bless you!
Hi Life Church team. I applied to be part of 4 life groups so far and I sent emails to all of them, but I did not received any answer from anybody. I hope someone is seeing this comment. Thanks
My father was not a Christian before he met my mom and now he is a much better Christian and role model. Also for point #1 what if the person we like just grew up in a non Christian family or taught wrongly about Christians and needs led to God? I have met many people who don't like Christians because they think they are all religious and Bible thumpers thus avoids them. Then we also have Hosea who God had married an adulteress women.
It feels like stories like this were more common decades ago. These days people choose to be who they want to be and it's very difficult to get them to be who you think they should be.
Sorry Pastor Craig, but I must respectfully disagree with you with regard to your first 'red flag.' Life has taught me that a person can attend church, talk about Jesus etc and yet still backstab their so-called friends, and treat people as though they are objects to be used, rather than respected and wield their relationship with Jesus to manipulate others'. Such folks in my humble opinion, are adept at using Jesus to hide behind, rather than striving to be the embodiment of his teachings. I have also learnt that the sheer magnitude of God's power is such, that he can work/speak through an atheist as easily and powerfully, as Satan can work through someone who is a regular church attendee.
What about Christian and Catholic, I can’t seem to convert to Catholicism for my bf and it has hindered our relationship. I can’t see a future because our beliefs are so different
