5 ROADS in the BLACK HILLS you must ride at STURGIS

Yes I agree there is too much to do ina week to where you can not do them all. I would like to do all the ones you all mentioned and talked about. I would love to do it some day. It’s definitely on my mind. Great watching and listening to you all.

My favorite memory as a kid was camping out in the hills and the sweet smell of the Ponderosa Pine trees in the morning when getting up. It was Heaven.

Needles highway is a great road to ride and get off and walk around a little.

Was there in 02,04,06,08, and the last time I was there was in 09 , there's no better riding than the Black Hill's of South Dakota, Spearfish Canyon is my favorite ride out of all of it 👊🏼💯

Did Sturgis in 2015 for the 75th. Hope to get back again someday. Spent a week there and like you said not enough time to do all the amazing rides in the Black Hills. We did Iron Mt Rd and Needles the same day taking in Mt.Rushmore and Crazy Horse. That by far was my favourite and best day of riding.

I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota, 9 miles away from Jewel Caves National Monument. I will say , Spearfish Canyon, Hwy 385 north from Custer, SD. Needles highway and Iron Mnt. are totally awesome.

When you fellas make it back out there make sure you hit vanocker canyon road! by far the best road out there if your looking to go a little faster around huge sweeping turns! There are a few stops on the way to grab food and a drink, it will drop you off in rapid city near the Harley dealer. In my opinion it’s better coming back from rapid when your coming down the canyon.

Just to let everyone know that watched this video. You can get up early for breakfast in the Sturgis area and ride the day and you can be in Cody Wyoming for one of the best museum in the country. Stay the night in Cody. Get up eat breakfast ride bear tooth pass. Plus if you choose you may pay and go into yellow stone. On the way to Cody you go through the Bighorn mountain range. If you take the time to go to Sturgis and you don’t try what I’ve just said you went to Sturgis just to look pretty. Use your bikes. Peace and love

If you get a chance to hit up iron Mt when the rally is not happening . You c an ride to your ability without traffic! AMAZING

If you get a chance Vanocker Canyon Rd is another great ride just like Spearfish canyon with a lot more elevation climbs! Thanks for a great video as usual

I'm also 1700 miles away, but Sturgis is on my bucket list.

Need to just say Peter Norbeck Scenic Byway, because it includes Iron Mountain road, Needles Highway etc. The only road of your list I haven't riden on is through Badlands National Park. Been on the others numerous times, both during the rally and other times of the year and I'll be headed to the Black Hills in a week.

Needles was my favorite, also spearfish canyon, lead, deadwood, and meade county got to go to full throttle

You guys will have to come to Thunder in the Rockies, here in Loveland, Colorado. Smaller rally. But a ton of fun. good mountain riding up to Estes Park, Colorado.

Wife and I took our 1st trip to Sturgis in 2019. I had numerous rides planned on the GPS. 1st ride was an "easy" one, only 2.5 hours taking in Mt. Rushmore, Crazyhorse, Custer and oh, look this Iron Mtn. Rd. cuts the corner and takes us back to Keystone. I never zoomed in on the road, and forgot her phone mount. When I saw the switch backs come up on the GPS I said she will be pissed. She was. She posted on Facebook that I tried to kill her. She still wants to go back and ride it again though.

Aladdin general store is open 365 days a year and is the oldest convenient / general store in the country. Population is 15 and the whole town is actually for sale.

Good info, but cant help myself....you said technical road? IMO there is zero technical paved roads on the planet when riding ceuiser of any kind from any make...a baby can ride a cruised. They are by far thee most easy bikes to ride ever made as far as two wheels. Been riding for 35 years, and have had a couple cruisers, a 1500 vulcan and a 900 vulcan classic. Also rode a 1700 Vulcan Vaquero. I have ridden hwy 12, Lolo pass in Idaho to Montana, which follows a river. 100 miles of curves. Cruiser style bikes are massively bottom heavy. I guess maybe if its your first ride on any motorcycle, maybe. Just never heard that term used like that in all my riding. Again, just my opinion. But did like the info you gave. Maybe im just a dumbs ass talking about my experience on all styles of bike from bottom heavy extremely stable easy riding cruisers, to road racing sport bikes to big adv bikes. But Black hills is still on my bucket list to ride. So maybe if i ride there, maybe i would have a real eye opener. Just got a kick out of what you had said, cause i have never heard of it. But all your info is great, not complaining, just never heard it. And when i get over there a ride it, maybe ill understand more about that part. Also good heads up on gravel, that part i complete understand. Came around a corner at about 50mph on a north washington hwy in the early spring and found out they dont clear the sand from the pass road until mid spring....was 6 inch deep sand on pavement. Kept it up right, but hit the sholder to change my shorts.
