Adrian, do you know the three words that appear behind the blackout cannons of warrior Typhon when he uses his ability 天，地，人are Chinese words meaning sky, ground and human
Typhon was a surprise as the bot has never really been meta, but yes Blackout seems to be something useful across metas. Like the Ravana, it is a high skill bot.
Yes I had to really think about this one. I originally actually was going to go Invader but after seeing what I was doing to Ochokochis with the sonic build it swayed me in favour of Typhon. If we look at say even Ophion or Nether and they get hit by that Blackout the Typhon could wipe them out within seconds. With the Invader while you might have the health pool and suppression it won't serve you much good if the enemy can still use their ability.
@adrianchong This is a good build but lag makes using blackout about 60-40% chance of working. So I run ghost pilot skill with Kestrel and all NA. I have two: one with Medeia and wasps and one with doc and hazards. Maxed the wasp build does nearly 1M damage per clip at which point because of Kestrel I'm at over 200kph.your a brawler so this build won't work for you. But to for hit and run both hazard/wasps are uncredible builds. Lag gets me in trouble trying to brawl with about anything including the Sonic Typhon.
I run the ottopilot GHOST skill hazard build with kestrel. For max speed. I love being speedy. I haven’t used the blackout on any of my typhons in ages. I miss it. Lol
The typhon has always been a very versatile robot. It's received 2 buffs and no nerfs since it's release. The first but was for more speed and the second buff was a 15% durability increase. It's never been majorly overpowered. It's really well balanced and is a robot that pixonic wants to keep in the upper leagues just like ravana, invader, and fenrir
Awesome series. As a final wrap up you should do a video or a live stream using all 5bots in a hangar. Show how a full workshop hangar stands against the meta.
Great series, thank you Adrian. Back in the game after years off from it (only the Fenrir and Ravana were around then and quite new). Curious if you would run these in low Champ levels? I'm tempted to run all of these - but can't all be havocs lol.
Hey, at least I got the last prediction right 😂. I was expecting to see it on this list because of the Blackout ability specifically, which allows it to act like a Ravana in the sense that it can mitigate or postpone the damage done by meta bots.
This series is SO useful, thanks! I think Falcon is an AWSOME robot which you should review, perhaps title it honorable mention, robots you should build - Falcon. Falcon is REALLY good, its TANKIER than Finrir when maxed, but the tradeoff is less damage. But the REAL kicker is that it is not only more tankier, it's cheeper to upgrade AND really does not need a legendary pilot.
Hey Adrian, we've debated several times about the mace and havoc. Of course I'm pro mace lol. So from your video's theres no doubt that sonics deal a crazy about of damage along with grey damage especially to ochos. But as i stated before, thats more with 1 on 1 encounters which you showed on the video. However, the mace its more versatile as you can deal insane damage, while taking on multiple targets. Which your video clips shows aswell. That has always been my argument, because if you empty a clip into one robot with Havoc you're a sitting duck because of the long reload. The mace shows you engaging 1 target kill them, then 5sec full clip and kill another target. I never disagreed about the power of havocs, its just my opinon that Mace are alot better. Was also wondering, how you think tarans would do? Excellent video as always.
I will run Mace depending on what is out there. I don't think a player should be "pro Mace" or "pro Havoc". While I still like Havoc if I feel I'm dealing with a lot of Aegis then I will switch and my stand on things will shift. A strong player will always adapt to what's happening and right now I think sonic weapons are the way to go with Ochos. However... if we see a lot of Dagon then I will shift to Mace because of the faster reload. Hope this makes sense? I would not use Tarans - maybe in the lower leagues but definitely not Expert League and higher.

Adrian, out of the 5 robots, wont you say the fenrir is a little less tanky now?? Cause ive been seeing a lot of new bots deal so much damage, maybe that resistance wouldnt be able to provide so much protection after all?? What do you think?? Are there any other bots more tankier than fenrir??
The Fenrir isn't as tanky as before because they made changes to Drones - we no longer use Defence Chips. I would still rate it high up there as I've run into some very strong Fenrirs. This whole series is focused on what players can build in Workshop as well and I would still build one if I was building up my hangar. I would start with the five robots I've shown in this series then explore alternatives based on how the meta shifts. Not sure if that makes sense?
Adrian would you say that Fortifier is worth using on Typhon? Since imo with the new DoT weapons shields will be more important. Also what about the homing machineguns on Typhon?
I didn't include the Fortifier module because we have pilots that offer built-in Shield Breakers like Harpy, Siren, Nether etc. If it wasn't for those pilots then I'd probably suggest maybe one of them - the Nuclear Amplifiers and Repair Amplifiers along with Last Stand would be my top choices as far as modules go at this point (this also means if the meta shifts my choices will change as I usually adjust things according to what's out there). Hope this makes sense. As for the Razdor weapons - they're ok but if I'm going for damage at that mid-range I rather use something that deals damage quickly. I would even pick something like Pulsars over Razdor because with Pulsars not only do you have 600m range but you also have lockdown. Hope the above helps.
I use a Typhon-Hazard. I don’t use a kestrel drone on that robot because the deathmark is only applied at 300m or less. I’m currently using a lvl 4 Daltokki. My kestrel in on my Ravana.
I've been building an erebus, and have been considering using 3x stellar hornets that I won from chests, but is there any other stronger build I should work towards? Recommendations by all appreciated, thanks!
I have been using the Mars recently with havoc and emp drone. I onlu use the turrets to force the players out of hiding to go after me then I hits them like a truck XD I use typhon i have for my range havoc for bigger maps. works for me but I see why typhon is more better.
The ocho can’t use its ability when lifted by a Newton but can it use its ability when it’s locked down? The blackout ability locks down and disables the ability so you can’t really tell if the lockdown does anything
I selected the Demeter for a number of reasons. It has held up relatively well with all the different metas. The Harpy and Siren meta was a bit rough but once those bots were nerfed the Demeter started to shine once again. Most players think I select robots because of how tanky they are or how much damage they do. While they're all important I also select robots on what that robot can contribute to the team and how much it teaches players in terms of team play. The Demeter while it's deadly in the firepower department, it teaches a newer player the importance of supporting their team. For their survival they need to make sure they stick with teammates and to do this you need good battlefield awareness. A player who develops this skill (battlefield awareness) is more likely to use their Demeter to look out for and protect their tanks and Titans in order to win. I find a lot of players lean towards bots like Scorpion, Harpy, Siren etc but if you think about it, they only attack when they have their abilities and they usually sit back. This is very bad for the development of a player skill-wise as it teaches that player to become more selfish. Once you develop this habit it's very hard to get out of it and more likely to stay in the long term. This is also why we see so many games in Champion League where players either don't go for beacons or all go to the same beacon. It's also why many quit when they see they're losing. Some players thought I would pick Khepri over Demeter too. Khepri isn't bad but at the lower levels a Demeter can teleport 500m to it's ally whereas the Khepri has to travel that entire distance. This gives Demeter a significant edge, not to mention it can block MK3 damage whereas a Khepri will have to absorb all of that damage and will most likely die.
Was running sonic typhon but moved weapons to ravana. Running igniter typhon now with paralysis drone. Really annoys ochos, etc. 😂 Very effective robot if play it smart.
In low leagues most DANGEROUS robot (that is reasonably obtainable) is the harpy... yes, thats right. HARPY is UBER dangerous as its ability allows it to FREELY damage players from relative safety dealing MASSIVE damage. Lynx is my best robot. It gets HARD countered by Harpy as he goes Straight through my resistance AND practically ONE-SHOTS my forcefield. not only that he is impossible for me to kill unless he is on the ground.
Can you make a Crisis redeemer video. I refuse to sit at 1100 meters and wait for my coffee to warm up in the microwave. I’m a brawling player. I do like the typhon got 2 at mk2 level 6 one with atomizers the other with mace. I like what you’ve done with the channel and not given up on war robots. ❤❤

I have a typhon lvl 8 with sonic weapons lvl 7 and one time I had 2 living legend with it but if I didn't play well with it I die so fast I also have the same passive modules in the video and I use a kestrel lvl 5 cuz I'm a f2p player
Can anyone explain to the skill destroyer, +12.5% ability dmg for lynx bot? Does it increasing -+15k per hit by 12.5% dmg or does it have some affect on execution also? I mean does it increasing execution also? Because I don't find that worth than if it increases only 15k by 12.5%. It's what, like +2250 dmg? You shoot 3-4x hits with lynx so altogether just extra 10k dmg. That not a lot, there are better skills than that, but I see every top player using it. So I ask you guys, that are pros if I understand it right. Or what am I missing here in this case? Thanks for answering me 😊
Erebus and Typhon are EXTREMELY detrimental to your ENTIRE teams survival, you included. one well placed emp, lockdown, suppression and whatever was on the receiving end of that is DONE. (ESPECIALLY in low leagues where practically NOBODY has anticontrol).
I'll be covering this in separate videos. I would not pick the Fafnir as one of my top robots because the builds you're talking about are very specific - those are builds more for someone who spends a lot. The ones I featured in this series are ones which free players can build (except for maybe the Hazard build since that isn't in Workshop yet).
Hey does anyone know how to complete the challenges to get the ultimate fugin bc how do you complete the 1st task with the yellow triangle(s) bc I just used one to upgrade something and it still says 0/2 …. Can someone please help!! Also do I have to use 2 triangles at one time
I use ghost pilot ability with Kestrel and the accumulated speed and pilot skill more than compensates for blackout, with the only exception being the Okie dokie. It can actually catch me. Otherwise it's the ultimate hit and run skill. Without Kestrel I'm at 115Km speed all the time. With it a legal hacker.
I would not use Wasp because the reload time is too long for the current meta. Whenever you have robots on the field that have incredible speed like the Ochokochi along with things like any type of shields (whether it be Aegis or Absorber) or even stealth, you need weapons that have high damage but also very short reload. This is why I picked Hazard but you can also try Pulsars.
Gotta disagree, this is a versatile bot but not a very good counter to the ocho cause u need direct view to hit blackout which is hard against a ocho. A ocho sees you, means he can charge at u. Also Typhon is too fragile hp wise so with the firepower of ocho,.typhon is gone with 3 hits
Unfortunately it has to be shown at max level if I'm facing max level Ochokochis otherwise it's not being realistic. The same way as if I was to show the Typhon at MK1 level 9. If I did that then it only makes sense if I show everyone else at MK1 level 9 - I hope you understand this. This is also why on my Baby Account I build these builds because I know they actually work at max level too. Players often ask me how is it I'm able to compete with MK1 level 6 bots vs MK2 and MK3 players? Well… I build what I know works well when it's maxed. This is the reason why I currently have a 72% win rate on that low level account.
