I was hiking once on a trail I had visited before. It was a really high up trail, and it was storming, so the whole mountaintop was covered in clouds. The whole time, the only thing I heard was my footsteps an my friends. It was really creepy
That sounded like a mating call of a simian of unidentified species. If you know gorilla sounds then you could probably communicate with the "Sasquatch" since they are both of the app classification. Aside from some dialect changes it'd be close enough to understand them.
I had a really strange experience one time when I visited Yosemite park with my family. We were preparing to go out for a day hike in the valley. But as I was loading my backpack, I heard the deepest bellow/howl I’ve ever heard. The noise seemed to be getting louder and would repeat every few seconds. Until eventually it got so loud it sounded like whatever was making the sounds was no less than 30 yards away from us. As the sounds got closer, all the birds that were chirping got quiet and I got nervous for no apparent reason. The sounds continued to travel past us and sounded like they went up the hillside next to our camp and they gradually faded away until we couldn’t hear them. But it freaked us out and to this day I have no idea what could have made that noise.
Yes, i think that are noises sounds something what simple human dont explained, because they are on more small or more high frequention. Their origin is still unknown, maybe are coming from entites from other dimensions, universes, alternatives reality... Even possible and from human mind manifestation (similar as living tulpa). Bigfoot and Dogman can representation something like that. 🤔
I seen on another site a few yrs. ago 2 boys in the woods heard someone playing a piano and to it got closer till it went right over there head and faded away! They never saw anything either! WEIRD!!!
#3 is explained. It is fake; crickets react to sounds as they are sensitive to vibrations in sounds - it ‘s how they communicate after all. That sound would have silenced them.
@Alexander Knight I live on a reserve out here in canada, I was at my cousins house til i decided to walk back home at night. We have a path that connects our houses back yards together but the path is about 500m, as i was walking away from the house and into the brush i thought my cousin came out and let out a blood curdling scream to startle my horses but it was 2 freakin coyotes fighting it out near by. Shit my pants and ran back lmao. Hearing shrill cries that close will send anyone back inside
The scariest thing happened to me alone and walking through a creepy dark forest one night, as I cut through the woods from my friends house, which I don't usually do but for some reason I decided to. The sunlight was fading and the shadows were playing tricks on my mind and stopped and realized there was no sound, like someone had suddenly muted the sound of the forest and all of a sudden I let out a tremendous fart because I was so scared, which rattled me and scared me even more, which led to another fart, and another, and another....I was suddenly trapped in a forest scared and farting like a child practicing playing the trumpet, with no way out. It was a nightmare.
I am a lifelong hunter. For close to 30 years, I've camped in some of the most remote, inhospitable places in western North America in all types of weather. From the high Rockies hunting elk in November in a blizzard that almost holed us in until spring, to under the hottest and windiest starry nights on the Great Plains hunting pronghorn. In all those journeys, we were never in a fifth wheel or camper trailer. It was always a tent. None of the sounds in this video are disturbing. I've heard everything from what sounded like a mountain lion scream to weird, demonic voices on the wind at 3AM. There are a lot of strange, unexplained phenomena that occur on this planet, and ALL of them have a logical explanation, I promise you that. From the magnetic field generating a resonance as the sun's UV rays skim over the atmosphere (sounds like a metallic whispering) heard in northern Wyoming in the height of summer, to the actual sound of an animal on its last breath or calling for its young in the dead of the night. There are sounds made by the trees right before a microburst that would scare the living daylights out of you city-slickers. In the Tetons hunting elk, I've heard a strange clap or explosion in the middle of a bright and sunny day. No cars, no guns, no known mining operations. Those are likely geothermal activity in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem as the molten rock beneath my feet crashed into water, solid rock, or the entire plate itself moved. We humans are awful small compared to what's out there, and so is our knowledge of the natural world. But there is no reason to get all worked up over sounds. Sounds cannot hurt you. They can signal danger or a warning, but likely they are harmless and just nature doing what it's done more millions of years.
It's an amazing comment. 100% correct. I'm a hunter myself. But in case you haven't noticed lots of people nowadays dont believe in logic or facts. I blame it on the environment. I mean the earth went from a globe to being flat! That HAD to have some kind of negative effects on humans.
Very true we are no more than a flea on a dog if nature wants to shake us off it will. That's what I have been saying about this so called climate change I don't care how much billions of dollars we gives these politicians the climate will keep changing that's what it has been doing before we got here and it will keep changing after we are all gone.
The true depth of the spirit world and the depths of soulless iniquity in eternity is far more horrifying than any living person comprehends. The music in #2, the screaming woods alludes to the fearful prospect of sliding off into that world of horrifying eternal and spiritual malevolence. Our Lord rebuked the dark side of the spirit world time and again throughout the Gospel accounts and when those mortal men who accompanied Him were exposed to the horrors that peaked around the corner into the world of the living, it terrified them so much that the Lord had to tell them: "Do not be afraid"
Heck, when it goes silent anywhere I immediately go on full alert, come inside and lock the doors. I live in a neighborhood and there have been times between about 2am and 4am where everything would go silent, no dogs barking, no crickets, no leaves rustling, just nothing. Like all the sound got sucked out of the air. My skin starts to prickle and I go totally fight or flight mode in my lizard brain lol I always just come in from out back and don’t go back out. One of those times though I heard this howling scream and bout peed my pants.
i agree with you. i actually went hunting in the woods a couple of times with my boyfriend. once, it went absolutely silent, and it was because there were wolves nearby. i remember running back to the truck and dragging him with me, i was so scared.
Wendigos are very territorial and this is a mimicry of an animal injures to draw a victim into the woods to be killed. They reside in forests and caves. If you hear any sounds coming from the woods you need to leave. Immediately. All Native American legends document Wendigos.
There’s one sound that’s super unnerving which many has called “The Silence” which is given to a phenomenon where a forest becomes unnaturally silent or the noises within becomes dampened or drowned out. It is usually accompanied by a feeling of unease and nervousness before passing several seconds later. I’ve experienced it before and it’s definitely not a good feeling.
Bigfoot finding out he's pregnant Hungover bigfoot Bigfoot trying acid for the first time. Bigfoot with stage fright. Bigfoot sees a human for the first time. Bigfoot getting raped by a bigger bigfoot
A few years ago I used to be woken in the 5-7am hours of the morning to what sounded like a baby crying. I live in town with neighbors all around me so I thought it must be someones baby. But it seemed to happen more frequently that expected and sounded like they were outside. One morning I decided to go outside to get a better listen found that it was a cat outside howling. It was amazing to me how much it sounded like a human child when I was inside, animals can really make some unexpected noises.
Yup as a little girl I used to lay in bed horrified and petrified of crying babies outside afraid to wake my mom…I didn’t know…turned me off of cats for a long time😅
What if the possums he was talking about were actually humanoid creatures that looked like possums? Maybe? Maybe possums are rulers of the woods and all the sounds are them attacking their enemies

The scariest moment in the woods is when the sounds that are around you stop being made..... You guys have to remember that forest is a pretty loud place, birds live there, bugs of all kinds live there, animals small and huge live there.... they all make sounds, some can be heard from afar, for some you have to be pretty close..... and some when you think are close stop.... Then the fear starts to close to you and you shoudnt run from it, the worst thing to do in forest is start running from something that made a choice to be silent when close to you....
5:22 those sounds in Rhode Island is radio feedback coming from the radio tower in the distance. It happens every once and a while if you live near one. I hear the feedback from one near me it is very similar sounding
No doubt our government knows much of what is going on. They will never tell us the truth about it and l believe we as Americans have a right to know what the truth really is.
Imagine: The crickets stop, then suddenly several top predator animals run past you at full speed as if they were running from something. Do you run? Or do you simply crap your pants and wait for whatever it is? lol
The Duder Imagine Bigfoot, the Chupacabra and the Devil all shaken in horror and crying in panic as they run past you at full speed as if they just saw something that fucked them hard in the mind and then the moon is headed towards the earth at full speed. Two Brothers.

WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME AT 12 AM WHEN I'M HOME ALONE AND IT'S TOO HOT TO SLEEP UNDER THE COVERS??? It's like you want us to have nightmares or something...
It's 4 am and it's way too late. I am hearing this in my dark room with my window opened. Senheiser headset and I am still listening. Nope sorry not scared yet. :P
I'll tell you something, there is some weird shit that goes on in the woods of Nova Scotia, Canada. As a kid my grandfather in the early evening finished up his outside work and was in the house before dark. I always joked with him about being scared of the dark. He would just say, son the night is an entire different realm incompared to day, and that goes along with creatures. The older I get and now that I've been hunting for years. I can say, I'm out of the woods well before darkness sets in. It's as if the woods come to life. On the North Mountain where, I am from has many unexplained occurrences. Lights in the woods that beam outward with an almost heartbeat pattern, making your heart feel as if it's thumping. Strange creatures that move from tree to tree, whispers is the worst. Anyway I could go on and on. Love the video.
this opens up a whole can of worms... like for instance, how many killers have farted as they sneak up on their victims. even further, i wonder how many people have died to the smell of their killers farts 😂
Your channel is what originally brought my boyfriend and I together, and this is the first video I've watched since he passed away. Naturally, the video is put together perfectly and your narrating is just as chillingly smooth as it's always been. Thanks for everything you do for your viewers. Your channel means a lot to many of us. :) ❤
@Phoenix Pony OMG I am devastated to learn about your boyfriend’s passing, that is is just so terrible. Sorry for your loss indeed and may he Rest In Peace. You are certainly going through a lot and I hope you can provide comfort for his family and that they doing the same for you. Take care.
@Phoenix Pony Sure thing for sure, I hope you will feel better soon, and have a steady recovery again take care for sure! :) Sounds like you and him were really into these types of videos for sure, please take care and be safe stranger, hope things get better.
@Phoenix Pony Thanks very much, although I must admit I am not always the most pleasant and such, but thank you for response, just when I see a comment like this I feel like I must give my support in some way, take care and manny blessings!
I watched this vid again and it is excellent. Thanks for promoting the Missing 411 documentary! Those voices were one of the most unsettling and scary things I've ever heard.
I live in Germany near the woods, and I frequently hear sounds that I cannot identify right away. But animals often have a broad range of sounds they can produce, so I’d say most „paranormal“ sounds are actually quite natural. I’ve heard hogs, foxes, deers and especially birds make really weird noises. Though I have to say, some sounds I could not identify to this day.
@@outdooradventurer394 I guess every region has its legends and stories. I remember a relative of mine scaring me real good with his stories when we were in the forests of eastern France for a wedding, I was like 3 years old back then and I still remember 😅
I totally agree with you. It makes the videos better though. Like Robert stack used to make unsolved mysteries that much scarier, just with his voice 😱😱😱
I heard a bobcat in Tennessee once, swore up and down it was a woman screaming in terror. called the police and everything lol. cops came out, heard the screaming, and started laughing. this actually freaked me out even more, until the told me what it was making the noises. watched a few videos on youtube with bobcats, and sure enough, that was the exact sound i heard. and even knowing it's a bobcat, that sound still makes my skin crawl.
By far the scariest sound to ever exist is when your mom told you to get up in the morning 5 times already and then you hear her footsteps getting closer and closer towards your room.
Scariest thing is waking up in the middle of the night and hearing footsteps outside your tent and hearing it pause. Run around. Pause. And finally leave.
@@leahhuntz6236 then dont go out by yourself , its as simple as that , and you will need experience gun people that can shoot anything from a distance . protect yourselves from any fucker
I remember up the hills walking in the pitch dark and hearing coughing and steps following me. I called out and went into sheer panic. It wasn't until I lay so still near a bush brush that I found out it was a sheep following me. 😂 they sound so human when they make cough and sneeze sounds. Never imagined that whole time while in panic that it was a sheep 😁
Nature has all sorts of bizarre noises. Hearing a puma screaming on a moonless night can be absolutely chilling. Especially if you don't know what it is.
It was disappointing that you didn't play more of the Sierra recording. The whoops were underwhelming, but the part with unknown entities talking to one another is the most interesting.
Before I heard it, I was thinking fox, but I listened to it and that ain't no damn fox. Foxes are more higher pitched, sounding like a woman screaming. Like those typical horror movie fake screams. This sounded like a child, maybe 10-16 screaming "daddy" in a terrifying tone. So I guess I'm in the "skeptic" range there, even though I believe in cryptids and other "supernatural" creatures. I don't know what a Wendigo is supposed to sound like, I've only heard of it, but never heard what they're supposed to sound like
That definitely was not a fox. As Mike said, Foxes are usually more high pitched. Where I live they are everywhere and usually it's short, sharp ones at that. That noise in 2, in my opinion sounded like humans. It sounded like a lady saying Jerry or Jeremy
I remember one time a long while back, at 1 in the morning, hearing this firework shriek. Over and over again, everything went quiet when it happened. I was listening to the frogs croak and crickets chirp, then they all stopped. I then just heard this firework shriek go off for about 5 minutes, it was moving, I could hear it. Then it stopped, the frogs and crickets resumed, then 30 minutes later, they all went quiet again, then the shrieking resumed, albeit sounding closer to my window. It didn’t make any progress towards me, eventually stopping, and the night continuing. I never, ever, heard it again.
See if I heard a woman screaming in the woods, I would think "I need to go help them!" then I would remember the countless Wendigo vids and stories....
@PXS Provoke a wendigo is a deer looking monster but could have wolf/dog paws. It only hunts on people are alone. They are known as only a legend, some people think they are real, I believe in the wendigo.
As I do a lot of solo camping, if I heard that I would run to check, not scared of "darkness" or anything, and if I hear sounds like those I would run and check right away, I know what noises like foxes are making and other animals too (some of them sounding quite scary), but if I hear a sound that I am not familiar with I always am curious and want to check it out, though I never had many experiences with the sounds I never heard before, this kind of sounds like a genuine person's voice and I am not an expert but it sounds quite clearly like a person in distress. I know animals can make weird noises even some imitate/repeat a human language but if it's in the woods what are the chances of animals imitating human speech.
The Wasatch I feel like the pitch is too high for seismic. Though this is the only recording I’ve heard, I’m sure you’ve heard many more examples and have a better idea.
I feel like any type of music out in the middle of nowhere with no body around would be freaky. I love Metallica, but if i heard "creeping death" echoing out of the woods at night while camping, i would crap myself
Hi. Here is the antidote for the very slow video editing: First sound at 1:53 Second sound 4:12 Third sound at 6:28 Fourth sound 9:38 Fifth sound 12:32
@@sasys8n Yes that's true. It's not really slow editing. But the video is obviously, and annoyingly cut longer than nessessary just to collect viewing minutes. Feel free to watch the whole thing.
As creepy as it sounds, #2 is a bobcat (mountain lion) that is trying to mate. I was awoken one morning about 2:30 am to what I thought was a woman screaming for help and in agony up the road. I took a gun with me and headed out in my truck. About 1/4 mile up the road was a field with 2 bobcats in close proximity to each other. The sounds were terrifying, very loud and almost sounded like a human. This video is a close, 99% accurate to what I heard that early morning. It was scary as hell!
@@Basic541 some people call bobcats mountain lions in the United States. it's just a blanket term for a woodland cat. and I can vouch for what hes saying, I used to hunt with my grandfather and we heard them in the woods during early spring. it's called bellowing
Legit heard someone coughing one night and at first thought nothing until I realized I was the only one home at the time. Needless to say I didn't sleep much that might.
I was sitting in my living room with my front door open and screen closed, so i could hear, a few months back and someone walked by my house and sneezed really loud so i yelled "BLESS YOU!" 😂 they didnt know who said it and ran away. I live in a residential and it was afternoon... Turns out it was the neighbours son and i scared his little 14 year old self 🤣🤣🤣 he cried when he got home... And didnt find it as amusing as i did. Oopsie
Right? If I thought I heard distressed screaming coming from my backyard I think I’d call the cops. The fox theory is interesting though and perhaps what it was- but there is a moment where is sounds purely like a woman sobbing.
@@jamesfracasse8178 if you need proof AFTER the fact, yes, but they will investigate disturbances, especially at night or if it sounds like someone is in danger right away. Unless they suck, of course.
You lost it Rain, you'd let this guy read you bedtime stories ? This guy who has a pencil sticking out of his head and is the only one talking to the camera. Well you really lost it.
10:23 It sounds most alike a female screaming "Save me". How is it that the person who recorded this did not call the cops immediately? Just because it wasn't on the papers the next morning does not prove that something bad did not happen in those woods.
that's what I was thinking, they should've called the police. even if it was an animal, at least there might've been closure, and if it was a woman, someone could've helped her
Nah, it's a fox. For some reason, they scream like a terrified woman. The reason they didn't call the cops was because they were used to having foxes in the woods.
Whether clip 1 if fake or real, just put yourself in this situation. Your home in a wooded area, then you hear these screams coming from the woods. Sends chills down my spine
I would sit up on my high balcony and scream back to see what happens, if anything runs up I'll just walk in and lock my doors, if it tries getting in imma get my shotgun
The scariest moment in the forest is when the sounds that are around you stop being made… You have to remember that the forest is a pretty loud place. Birds live there, bugs live there, animals small and large live there. They all make sounds. Some can be heard from afar, while others you hear when too close. When those noises that you think are too close stop, the fear starts to close in on you. But you shouldn’t run from it. Gonna be honest, if I ever live in or near a forest, i'm totally putting up a fence at a minimum height of 8 feet, and placing motion-activated lights all around, and inside the yard, as well as a Camera. Plus metal doors, and either thick windows or windows with metal external bars. (If you go to Canada, British Columbia, a lot of houses new and old have metal bars over some windows, as a precaution against animals smashing a window to get inside a house. Since most doors are metal, or double layed wood doors.)
It depends where you live. If there are an abundance of bears in the area this is necessary but other wise you could get bye with guns and a satellite phone
Me who lives in the mountain province in the Philippines: I ligit have to go out to go to the bathroom and our house is just along the pathway so you can imagine how scared I am when something passes by it's terrifying 😂

The Sierra Camp Recording was also done back before professional sound equipment went digital and before we had cell phones and software that can make sounds using software. The hunters recorded these sounds on a basic cassette tape recorder the large ones that you see in the 1980s movies that police used to use during interrogations!
I heard 2 voices, the screaming sounded like a child, and a second voice almost like an adult responding with, “where are you?” and “Little girl?” Definitely strange.
When I was a child, we lived in rural West Tennessee. This was a time before I-40 was built, which later went thru the heart of our farm. We used to hear sounds exactly like this. After the interstate was built and opened, we didn’t hear the sounds anymore. However, recently, people who live there now are reporting hearing similar sounds. I heard them during my last visit in the summer of 2021. They were the same I heard years ago. However, we still don’t know what is making the sounds.
I love the voice of the narrator of the video, so soothing... helped me ease the thrill and fear of listening those strange sounds around the world ( specially woods) that could be heard 😮
@@chrisdix7037 oh you know people jump to their own fast conclusions anymore. Think they know all the answers lol. However most people that live around wild life will record noises or animals first thinking its nothing. But that being said, these people may have recorded it after or easily enough had another member in their house call authorities while they recorded it. People just like to complain :) ✌
Anything heard in the woods is almost certainly caused by an animal. They live there you know. If you hear something like "Help me!" you should think otherwise.

Lovely Unicorn, I couldnt have said it better myself. Wanna know what scares me about that 1st video clip??? I live on 22 acres of WOODS.... 5:00. Yep, my wife and I experienced the sound while watching a sunset at the grand canyon with about 40 other people. The sound was loud and coming from everywhere. If you've been there, you know it out in the middle of nowhere. It sounded metalic...grinding....engine like. Nobody there had a clue what it was. It last for about 10 minutes then faded away. Wierd.
