Hello. I typed in a very long description of why i would like to enter, but it said there was no dates avalible and now everything i wrote is gone. Will there be another attempt at this?
Very refreshing take on how to win friends and influence people, cause “having to be a people pleaser” was exactly what I took away. I’m gonna read the book again
i´m gonna read all of them, i´m learning a lot from you, you are a truly authentic, and balanced person, who reaches to your own conclusions and biggest insights through journaling, shadow work, listening to your intuition. this is the biggest lesson i´ve learnt from you stop looking for the answers outside of you and rather start listening to them, because they´re already inside of you. glad to see your growth and evolution.
Clark, i been watching your channel for a while now, i love everything about your videos man, love the contnent, the jokes, the tasks that you give us to improve, just want to say thanks you for all the support and the good times that your videos give to me.
The video discusses 5 self-improvement books that have been effective. "How to Win Friends and Influence People" is highlighted for its advice on effective communication, emphasizing speaking in terms of others' interests. "Stumbling on Happiness" is mentioned as a book that challenges assumptions about future thinking and positivity, showing how the mind can play tricks on us. "The War of Art" is described as a book that tackles resistance, negative self-talk, and the battle to overcome internal obstacles for creative endeavors. "Self-Reliance" is noted for promoting individualism, authenticity, and not conforming to societal norms. "The Artist's Way" is discussed as a resource for unlocking buried creativity and addressing the impact of shadow self and anger on artistic expression.
My two favorite books of all time are David Goggin's, Can't Hurt Me and Dave Ramsy's Total money makeover. Both these books have changed my health and finances tremendously.
I absolutely loved your video and the way you passionately shared your insights on these self-improvement books. It's clear that you've not only read them but also internalized their lessons. One key takeaway I got from your video is the importance of understanding and overcoming our own internal barriers, whether it's in social interactions, creativity, or personal growth. It's inspiring to see how these books have had a profound impact on your life. Thanks for sharing!
I want to extend a massive thank you! I'm constantly grateful for the wisdom you impart. Your positive guidance is truly appreciated, and it's always a pleasure to learn from you!
Hey man amazing content! But a quick tip on your audio (if you'd like).. do a low cut around 80-100 Hz to get rid of any low end rumble / room noise. Will clean up your audio quite a bit! Keep up the great work!
Big hug from Colombia - You´ve been an inspiration and also a source of really pure, authentic and positive energy to me. Your videos not only teach, but also vibrate really high-
Like you said in your last book video I watched: you need foreplay. The small talk leads to the impactful deep convos. And when you can start viewing every person you interact with as a potential friend, then just start probing and asking them good questions, then follow up questions, it’s amazing how you can start to see how this person that could have been another stranger just actually has so much in common with you. That is one of the beautiful things of life man.
Thanks Clark for these book recommendations especially The War of Art on learning and doing. I have read a lot of self help books my entire life (I’m 70) and struggle with putting into action the concepts I have learned. I’m going to read the War of Art.
Hello, since you are 70 years old and have read a lot of self-help books, would you mind to share your favorite ones or the ones that had the strongest impact on you? Thank you very much in advance.
@@rayukk Two books I read when I was in my twenties that helped me during that time was Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz and The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz.
@@ltorresmsw Wow, what are the chances. I started reading Psycho-Cybernetics very recently and so far I am completely blown away. I am excited for the rest of the book. Also thanks for the second book recommendation, I had not heard of that one before.
Atomic habits by james clear is a book that's good with getting you to change habits. I reccomend it if you find it difficult to take action. It's a relatively short read. That book helped me change my life by making small changes over a long time
Self-Reliance is a gem. It helped me make sense of the dynamics of society and the role I play. The majority of people will ALWAYS be conformists. You can't fix society, you can only fix yourself. And by doing so, by walking away and becoming a true individual, you inspire others to do the same. I run a men's coaching program, and it's literally called, "The Self Reliant Way." Thanks for all your work and inspiration, Clark. I just added The War of Art and Stumbling on Happiness to my queue.
Wow this is truly one of the best videos on RU-vid. I highly recommend. Maybe because this is what I coach but trust me I’ll be sharing 100 times over. Thank you!! I especially loved the part about “when you got the big audience “

Thanks Clark I bought the kybalion last year because of you and I changed a lot of things with my life I’m in a much better place and you’ve influenced me in certain regards, I’m now going to buy these books and read them cheers
Hai Clark! Found this channel yesterday. Your ideas are extremely awesome and 'powerful'...Thank you so much for sharing...love from Kerala❤ Advance happy Onam🎉
Hi , i am from Argentina, so english is my second lenguage. The thing i want to thank you is that you are very approachable to me, the way you talk, you give exámenes, is so natural That it is easy to see, lo listen, lo remember, to put into action. Gracias. SIL
might I also recommend The Inner Game of Tennis by W Timothy Gallwey. although mainly about getting better at tennis it has many insights into quieting your inner voice and increasing your concentration, willpower and confidence.
Your videos are a true help for me Clark. With your support I learned a lot of things. I would be really grateful if you'd be down to make a video about Robert Greene.
first video I've watch of yours but not the first in the books to buy category. Never knew you could max out your Amazon cart until I started adding the '100 best books for x'. So in spite of that mindless adding I was only one down with 'The War of Art' in my collection but all the rest of your suggestions made a lot of sense and so I will add them to my Amazon cart and hit the subscribe to your channel for what I sound to be a really measured introduction on why to look at certain books
Wow stumbling on happiness and how to win friends are two of my favourites. I wouldn't have put stumbling on happiness as a self help book, it's more of a popular science book.
Dale Carnegie is still valid in today's world even more so! Unfortunately most people never finish reading a book, and actually use what it teaches! I'm guilty of that many times believe me! 😮

Can anyone give me some advice? When he talks about the 3rd book in the video, he says that doing is fun while learning isn't, for me it is the other way around... I love learning new stuff and really getting to understand all the little details about the topic, but when it comes to doing anything related to it, I can't start. I fantasise and learn about a lot of thing, but never do them. Any advice is much appreciated, thanks!
He means that learning a new skill is hard, because you have never done it before. you need to learn the technicalities and fail a few times. once you learn and master a skill, you just do it. doing it, after you have learned, is easier.
I can relate! I know everything I need to know about starting a business in e-commerce & the learning has been fun, but when it comes down to actually finding a product & getting started I just don't find it interesting & nothing happens. I know a shit ton about investing & have all kinds of financial plans but yet I don't make any money. LEARNING IS FUN BUT DOING ISN'T, THE DOING IS BORING & HARD.
You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you. Dale Carnegie
Thank you for the tips! i would really recommend "The stress test: How pressure can make you stronger and sharper by Ian Robertson", i hope that you enjoy it :)
Awesome video. Started to read The War of Art. Exactly what I needed right now, I am total amateur who thinks she is a pro 😂. I have a question for you, how do you choose what book to read at certain moments, and how you decide whether you need to read it again? My book list just goes up and I want to read them all at once.
Dude love you been watching for a while, check out osho's Book of Secrets the chapter on deceptions of the mind read about 15 years ago transforms the way you look at your brain, I brought it up because you talked about how your mind can deceive you, this chapter is transformative much love bro😊
TOP TOP VIDEO !!! I'll just add a small Nugget. The War of Art....is a Word Reversal of a CLASSIC CLASSIC old Chinese Military & LIFE Guide....called....The Art Of War. Tons of Strategic "plans" ....to WIN at Anything. Get an Updated Version for Today....as the Original Language Translation is not easy to read 👍👍 Chinese Author is..... Sun Tsu
1:52 well, I really hate when uber drivers start talking to me more than I need to or asking me a bunch of questions. I really HATE that, why cant I just get where I'm going quietly?. I don't know maybe it just me, I need to read that book I guess.
Damn, thank you for this episode and mentioning The War of Art, now I feel like it's something I need to read asap because I want to star a side hustle. I have all the ideas and plans in place but all the time, excuses keep appearing like: ugh, today I'm tired, not this time because there's a new game update and I want to play it or I find other seemingly important things to do, thus pushing this further and further into the future which to be honest I'm sick and tired of 😅
