Someone else said they are worth 5 million now. It’s bizarre how many deals fall through with Robert. Should be a lesson to anyone walking in there to steer clear of him. He had great options, he should have countered with Mark or Lori or tried to bring the two of them together.

Honestly he should've went with Daymond. Him and his team are very powerful and the offer although it was 20% he wouldn't of needed nothing else or even Marks deal. Those 2 should've maybe even teamed up. If he was smart he would've asked if anyone would work together I think some would have.

No. This will easily blow up, giving up a lot of equity now for that amount is a very bad deal especially if you'll want to add more investors and partners in the future such as Walmart and over seas companies in Europe. Roberts deal was the very best.

Damond could've said a 10 BILLION dollar line of credit, but at the end of the day it's just like any other loan. He has to pay back any balance he accrues anyway (with interest). This guy would've just been giving up more equity in perpetuity in exchange for what is basically a high limit credit card. Any shark can easily loan more cash to him after a deal is closed, granted if the company keeps growing.

I don't think you understand what credit is. He was not just giving him $10 million. It is credit, so he would have to pay whatever he uses of that $10 million back. Daymond basically picked that big number to wow people like you that don't understand how credit works.

Patents are public knowledge and only protected in the US. The chinese are notorious for syealing US patents and making tons of cheap products. The inventor of the hoverboard never saw a dime from all the sales because thats ehat happened to him

In such a case where there are multiple offers, I would do a deal with more than one shark. And since there were 5 offers in this case, he could have even structured such a deal to get all 5 sharks onboard for a deal.

Yep! It's helpful if you need money but don't want to dilute (sell more of your company) the company. Also, likely a line of credit from those sharks beats whatever loan a bank would give.
