Keeping in Braids •If you have new growth coil the roots •If you have product build up wash them •If you have your ends poking out moisturize and cover with hair decorations •If they look old just gel em up, add shine ,whatever is necessary •If you want to make your braids last do these

Tie it up every night and get some type of moose for later in the months to slick the braids down and get a gel for your edges and put a scarf on it before u get ready to leave so it will lay down well
@sassy_sasarai4090
@sassy_sasarai4090 5 лет назад
@@blackbarbiez1003 Yeah mine have been in for a while and they'd still look alright if not for the new growth. Been using dry shampoo and witchazel to keep my hair and scalp clean. I didn't do it this time, but reboiling the braid seemed to reintroduce shine and general "freshness"/neatness to the ends. Found this out when I decided to curl my braids halfway through a previous style. And then there's always the touchup. Get every penny's worth.

My ends stick out immediately no matter what... apparently because I have "soft" hair if I go by what every single braider has said. So I just do it myself and put a black rubber band or hair jewelry on the part that sticks out. Looks boho and natural and works for my hair...

I leave mine in for 4 months at a time, I get a healthy 2 inch's of hair growth like that. I also wash my hair like I would normally with my natural hair, every week on a Friday and I oil my scalp and my hair has done just fine. I take em out on the 1st of the 4th month and let my hair rest before getting my hair braided in the next two months.

As long as you wash and treat it whilst in those braids and do not pull or tug them too hard when you have it in a ponytail (to avoid breakage) your hair will be fine. I normally keep mine in for 4 months shampoo the buildup out every 1 month then hot oil treat and deep condition treat every now and again and I NEVER HAD AN ISSUE, NO FUNK, NO GUNK, HEALTHY LONG AND THICK HAIR, its not nasty to keep it in for 3 or more months its nasty to not wash, treat and properly cool dry your hair when you have it in a protective style.
