In the winter, my cats take over my recliner,being all wadded up together . So i have to sleep somewhere else. I have a bed,but the tv aint in my bedroom. So i have to get on the recliner first. Then they pile up on me like a furry quilt that purrs

We have three cats: Fredegar (Freddie) Dunstan and Tinker so called because she kept hiding things by playing with them until they went underneath bookcases and we used to say "you're a little tinker" Now she is older she likes to lie on my lap often at inconvenient times. Yesterday she began to climb on to my lap but I was just about to get up and go into the kitchen to fetch a cup of tea I'd left there. Not wanting to reject her I told her "I'm just going to get my tea I'll be back in a minute then you can sit on my lap. Just wait there (on the arm of the chair) there's a good cat" Lo and behold when I returned from the kitchen with my drink she had waited and was still there and climbed down on to my lap once I'd sat down! It was just as though she had understood what I'd said.

My cat has a "what's up?" sleepy sound that he sometimes uses in response when I say hi to him when entering a room and he is napping.

I've seen so many claims that cats can't understand words--but that's not true, depending on context. Obviously cats can't understand our complex language--but they can certainly come to understand basic words and phrases--especially if our words/simple phrases express matters that are of special interest to them! Don't be fooled by the fact that "science" can't account for such, just as "science" claims so many other false "facts" just because of the limits of their own "verification" processes. Cats are not the cold, uncaring, non-empathetic creatures that "science" claims them to be. Likewise so many other aspects of "reality" that cannort be accounted for by the "science's" inability to analyze or account for such.
