I joined a club in college recently and I noticed how this one particular girl is making it easy for us to be together. She let's me know about every club activity she is attending and even drove me to one of them. I'm considering asking her out, which is ironic because I thought I wouldn't even dare try again lol. I don’t mean to be annoying but for a lot of neurodivergents (myself included) we do a few of these with little to no meaning behind them. Things like mirroring or tone matching being a way to mask. remembering small details is something that a lot of us do platonically for our friends because we want the best for them. The closeness thing can also just be something that we do unconsciously, it’s just kinda natural. Now I’m not speaking for every neurodivergent person but I’m just putting out stuff I know from my own experiences as well as a few others. Anyhow, have a wonderful day :]

The same goes for NOT being able to do some of those things (even with encouraging feedback from your crush). Eye contact is completely overwhelming, instead of smiling or flirty banter you just freeze, giving compliments is very hard and touch does not come naturally at all. 😬 For some reason I even dislike asking questions or saying someones name...

Thank you for this video. Now I'd like to speak for people like me who may find it hard to exhibit typical signs. See, unfortunately some of us may not be able to smile at you despite constantly making an eye contact. All because of different aspects - humiliation traumas in the past, not thinking we're attractive, the general lack of trust to people due to traumas. I remember a situation a year ago when a very pretty girl kept staring at me at the outdoor gym and I was frightened to notice that I couldn't even force myself to smile. Not because I didn't like her, but because of all previously listed reasons. I had just started exiting my solitude shell and couldn't believe I was any attractive, so it took me a couple of days to even defeat the doubt that she could like me. Heck, I had even decided to start going to that gym thinking I needed to compensate my "appearance flaws" by having a good physique. This story did not have a happy end, but it sure as heck taught me some valuable lessons which motivated me to socialize more actively.

I can definitely say I’m the type of girl that if I have a crush, I’ll try to be get as close as I can to that person physically but not try to make them feel uncomfortable or awkward. I need boyfriend bad! 😫 I don’t socialize much and I have trust issues so it’s hard for me to meet new people.

-) meet someone new -> there are events like "linguistic coffee" or apps for organizing events like "ComeHome" aimed to socialize, do some research and take courage! :) -)trust issue -> you've got a brain, you can read the people through signals, their preferences, their actions and reactions, their priorities, their attention. Lots need to be learned in order to be able to properly read, through both books / shared experiences and direct experiences, but it's doable. And usually, feelings coming from very, very deep and which are hardly relatable with your past experiences, traumas or "over-thinking" ((translation missing, sorry)), those feelings know better! Just consider them, because you might have unconsciously caught green or red flags

Every one is different, but for me personally, I try not to look at my crush's eyes. I don't know exactly why, but when i see the one boy that I have a HUGE crush on, I try to get away as fast as possible. I think it's because I want to advoid embarrassing myself. @@FG-bu3jpof course they do. There are only 2 ways to not be nervous. One is to not care, but why would you have a crush on someone you don't care about? The other one is to know deeply that they love you in all of your imperfections, that you can be yourself 100% around them and that, in a way, you can do no wrong anymore. But at this point you've already been dating for a while and are they still considered a crush at that point?

I'm in a similar situation. I don't think I will ever find someone and every time I've had a crush, it's only lead to rejection. I don't know how to get out there to meet people or where people are. Same i havent felt love or had a crush since 2019. had a crush on this girl since 2015 then i finally got over her in 2019. Only felt that sort of feeing again a few days ago when i saw i girl who I thought was really attractive, i couldnt go up to her if it was to save my life plus her parents where there and so where mine. I have bad self hatred i hate a lot of people but theres not one person i hate more than myself, i was screaming at myself internally anytime i would imagine myself going to talk to her & i would distract myself with thoughts (not overthinking or anxiety) anytime im in a situation like that i just start thinking about any random event that’s happened in my life. At one point she started approaching my way and my heart started racing but turns out she wasn’t approaching me I wish i could stop feeling like this because I know theres no chance ill ever be in a relationship cus 1 im ugly asf, 2 i have no personality, i look like a dead lifeless person who has to fake every smile cus i cant smile naturally, i kill conversations by simply existing & 3 idk theres too much wrong with me i guess

ok but these things can just be polite too. eye contact and smiling is friendly mirroring is usually subconscious and is an indicator of attention, not necessarily affection people pleasers have a tendency to remember peoples preferences or notice some details closeness can be platonic asking could be a sign of platonic trust, but probably the most useful thing on this list (in terms of asking if they're dateable/attractive etc)

I'll be seeing her soon and maybe I'll get to make that move. We both have eye contact and have smiled. Yes I have looked over at her nervously. We mirror quite a bit. Awkwardly but yes. We remember little tidbits about our calls and past, which should count for something. Flirty contact like my shoulder touching hers or her sitting closer to me I'm sure count. Can't even count the hugs over the years that last just a bit longer than with anyone else. Long ago she asked if I was seeing another girl but I wasn't. She made the first move of anyone's curious. Friends for so many years now about to go out.

I'm 14... and requested this video. Don't be afraid to. Here's some things I do with someone if I like them and it might help you notice when girls like you. 1. Physically close. I am a very physically affectionate person and almost can't survive without hugs. So any chance I get to touch a guy I like, I am absolutely going for it. Laying head on shoulder, holding hands, hand on knee... anything I can get. 2. I make sacrifices to see my crush. Much like economics... there's an opportunity cost though. For example, my crush (now bf 😊) plays baritone in band and I play flute. This means we sit on opposite sides of the room. So when Mr. Cox was done teaching a sneakily ran back to him so I can talk to him. My sacrifice here was Cox making me do 25 push ups and embarrassing me infront 150 people... 3. Taking pictures of our memories together. I did this yesterday with him because we were both wearing a green shirt so we got a cute little picture together. Any questions lmk

Just know this. You're still young to enjoy your middle school and High school years. Don't stress about not being able to have a gf right now. Chance are, your time has not come yet, and according to your age, you're just reached your teenage years. I was in your shoes when I was your age. Only time will tell, it's probably not the best idea to think about dating until you're at least 16. So just continue being the good kid you are. Focus on your studies, and if a girl decides to be friends with you, don't hesitate to accept.

There is a girl in my class who constantly stares and smiles at me. Cant really tell if I like her or not, she is my friend but we’ve known each other for quite a bit. I’m not doing anything for a bit until I like her maybe more but this really helps me theorize if she actually does like me. I recently confessed my feelings to a guy and mentally prepared myself for rejection, my arguments were: - I did it for myself first of all. You may think about the rejection and/or ask yourself questions why it happened, but answer it yourself and be kind. Just keep watch of yourself not to drift away too far with these thoughts. Don't take it personally. And if you do take it personally look at some traits that you have that may make you less desirable and work on it. There's a fine line between criticizing yourself and beating yourself up. Don't get too worked up over it and keep in mind that you are not supposed to get a yes every time. A way to avoid even feeling the impact of rejection is to not fixate on that one person so there's not so much pressure on whether they say yes or no, but that's easier said than done

I met a guy at university who i really like, we had a lot of classes together too. He's shy and rarely faced me when we talked at first, although he leaned in to talk. i have crush in gym . i don't really notice her until she keep staying at treadmil in the same place like i do (literally beside me , i dont think she want to be close with me, it just her normal treadmil got moved position to somewhere else) . idk if i just paranoid, but i always seeing her looking at me but when i look at her back, she look away so fast . i go to gym after work days and saturday afternoon (i only take off on sunday), and almost always meet her, i always running like crazy that keep almost 2 hours, and she doing the same although she's only walking incline . i tried a move once towards her, idk if she don't interested or she just nervous . the second attempt . i ask her about the treadmil she's smiling, then almost half hour she lost control in treadmil , fell but held on treadmil (its literally the first time i saw her like that ). and about the 2nd (mirroring) .its really strange to what happen to us because what are we do really synced like drinking , fixing hair / clothes , glancing , even when i ask something to her , she almost said the same thing . even quite often our outfit color is same.. its too often for a coincidence , i never believe about the "red thread" thing . when i realize that, i really nervous towards her now..

its not that i don't want to directly ask her or scared to be rejected. we literally side by side almost every i go to gym. and i feel i'm not close enough to ask her that yet. since i have experience with girl i ask out of nowhere and she didn't know what to say , the outcome probably like this. - it will be awkward for both of us there. - one of us probably maintain distance - my rival is gone (she literally the only one on treadmil that long and also the reason i can run that long) - one of us probably won't show up on the gym anymore if we at least close friends , we still can maintain those if i got rejected, i still need to bond with her. wish me luck guys.
