I am a 62 year old grandmother, so I am not in the same stage of life that you are in. However, I love watching your channel! I usually watch it on Saturday morning while eating breakfast and before I start my chores. I feel like we are a kindred spirit, I'm just a bit older. :) You have a beautiful family! May the Lord continue to bless you and your household. PS I'm going to try that cookie stacking thing the next time I make cookies, which will probably be soon because I have quite a sweet tooth too!
Awe love to hear this! So glad I get to be part of your Saturday routine! 🥰 Your sweet comment made my day! Thanks for watching and being a part of my channel community! ❤️
I have found that what has really helped me is doing one load a day of laundry. This way, it's hardly any volume to tackle. So, no more full laundry basket in the waiting to be folded. When our dryer broke in 2020, we nvr replaced it so now, all clothes come straight up out of the machine directly onto hangers or onto a wall mounted drying rack mounted on the wall tucked inside the laundry closet. It totally eliminates the overwhelming feeling of a huge basket of clothes. We even decluttered the laundry baskets years ago LOL it works for us! In the morning, I go straight to the laundry closet to retrieve laundry and put it into drawers but most of it is already on hangers Etc It truly makes you forget you're even doing laundry.Just thought I'd share since you had asked for tips on things to save time. Love your sweet channel.Have a lovely Wednesday ~Julia from SW MO
Thank you so much for this! Sorry I'm late to your comment! I love that idea! We really only keep one clothes hamper going so that's more manageable. I used to think we needed more but it just creates more piles I think! One load a day really helps it not feel overwhelming! Thanks again!
Hi Lauren, Loved your message. I'M 72 and have experienced those same feelings of overwhelm. Learning the mind and emotions have a life of their own is a valuable thing. Also, Learning not to allow the world to control your environment past a certain point. Thanks for sharing your beautiful life.
Hi Lauren, Thank You for sharing another Great video with us. This could not have come at a more perfect time, because tasks, and life in general can easily become overwhelming for many of us. The tips that you shared, are Wonderful tips, and Sweetheart, nothing that you shared, sounded "cheesy or dorky," but very practical and helpful. ❤ I think that all of the tips are Great. I especially agree with your number one tip of, getting out into nature, and enjoying the peacefulness that it brings. I also Love your suggestion of practicing more Gratitude and spending more time with God in prayer. Thank You again Lauren for sharing, inspiring, encouraging, and uplifting So Many of us. Lord willing, until next time. 🙏🏾 By the way, those cookies looked picture perfect, and quite yummy, might I say. 😁 Love In Christ, Paula
Paula, you are so very sweet! Thank you so much for leaving me this comment! Prayer, gratitude and more time in nature would do us all some good! So glad you stopped by and thanks again for such a lovely message
@@rustichoney you're welcome, Thank You for your kindness, and for All that You do. I am Grateful that You decided to create Your Wonderful channel, and that You use it as a platform for God's Glory, and to Encourage a countless number of Us along the way. Thank You again Sweetheart, and Lord willing, until next time. 🥰
❤ Great video reminder to not put so much pressure to “do it all everyday”! I ate breakfast and neatened up the kitchen while watching because I only want to spend 20 minutes on this activity so that I can head out to the garden to say “good morning” to my plants surveying anything that might have happened over night. 😊
I just found your channel, so now I am binge watching! I am a bit older, 51, with three kiddos who are older. However, the ideas for my life are still the same, right? I love home systems, setting my future self up for success and remembering what I need to do to feel less overwhelmed. As I am watch/listening to this video, I have my planner out and am planning next week. ❤
LOVE this! Having my planner and journal out and grabbing a cup of coffee is my happy place! So loved to hear you're enjoying my channel. Apologies for such a delayed response, just catching up today! So glad you're here!
I thought so, I used the baking soda on a gut instinct and made these yesterday using Heath bar baking pieces. Only about a handful of cookies left. Absolutely delightful. Thank you for sharing..
I’m so glad you caught that! Just when I think my mom brain is improving 😂😅 so glad you liked them! Our cookies disappeared very quickly too! Thanks again! ❤️
Hello Lauren, sempre molto brava , porti avanti tantissime cose. Bello vederti in giardino e nell'orto insieme a Reese, anche a cucinare insieme. Mi piace vedere le manine di Reese che ti aiutano nell'aggiungere gli ingredienti per fare i biscotti. Saranno stati buonissimi! Vi auguro una bellissimo estate❤😊
Hello Lauren, family, fur babies, and feathered friends. AMEN. This week was an overwhelming for my husband and I. I had 3 doctor appts this week each yearly, however, we had to keep our 5 year old grandson 3 days this week, our son is in banking and he had to work, his wife and our granddaughter was in Hershey PA for a dance competition, that is why we had to keep him. We are both retired now, I retired at 54/63 husband 61/63, I say that to say we are not old old, actually people do not believe us when we tell them our age. We raised our two son's and this generation, OH MY GOODNESS, endless energy. We had to make some quiet time during those days and he was not happy...lol. Thanks for all the ideas and motivation. Enjoy your weekend. STTB
I have never heard of stacking cookie dough and I make a lot of cookies, I will be trying this. I agree with all the steps you have mentioned, they really do help and it is not that hard to put in place.
hey girl- loved the video!😁 thanks for the tips😉 I agree with everything👍 God has blessed us all so much. We need to take the time and say Thank you🤗 Those cookies look amazing😋 I have never stacked the dough like that- but a smart way to bake🤭 Y'all have a blessed weekend🥰
Love your videos!! Love all the simple life on the Farm, cooking, and advice you give!! I never knew that about stacking cookie dough!!! Will have to try!!😊
Thank you so much! The single-tasking one is definitely a challenge for me right now but it does help! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave me a sweet comment!
You mean you don’t have chocolate chips on hand?! 😆😅 Jk, I’m out too right now but I feel like that’s rare here. I have a problem lol! Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you! It's from my online shop actually but unfortunately it's currently sold out. I may have a couple left at our storefront... If you want to leave us a message on FB we might be able to grab your size for you if interested! shoprustichoney.com/products/adora-women-blouse-fp-7e2ca?_pos=8&_sid=f7c5c8479&_ss=r
Nature is my only saving grace these days, if I didn’t have nature I’d probably have had a breakdown. Women imo have enough to do looking after a home and family and now they are expected to work as well, especially here in the UK. Nurturing a family is a full time job and too many women are now overwhelmed and burning out.
Absolutely! And society tells us it’s not “enough” to “just be a homemaker” - really hate that for mothers! It’s unfortunate. I too am so thankful it’s easy to get out into nature here, makes a big difference. Thanks for watching!
