If there are gut issues, the first thing diet-wise that should be practiced - no gluten, no lactose and no sugar diet. Then refilling of vitamins and minerals deficiencies, especially if there are issues with thyroid, diabetes and other autoimmune problems. And they may occur if the gut isn't healthy.
