right I'm 12 years old and once i walked into a Tesco petrol station, then the man at the counter walks up to me and says "let me check your pockets, " and i say no my phone is in there and it is non of your business and I've only came for a can of coke. I never went back to Tesco i stick to Sainsbury's from now on
I 100% agree with the first one. Today, me and my friends were looking at the photography cameras at jessops in town, cus we're kind of into it. The guy working said 'these are not toys, they are professional pieces of equipment! if you break it, your paying for it". We didn't even touch them, we just walked into the store, and he happily went over to some adults who were picking up cameras and taking pictures with some of them, explaining the functions of each one. We then went over to look at the telescopes, as my friend wanted to get one for his Dad. This bloke went up to us again and said 'The exit's here gents if you're looking for it' and then issued us out. This wasn't just a friendly notice, we were stood at the cameras in the doorway. He just wanted us to get out of the shop, as he stereotyped we'd break something or try to nick a camera. He was so rude about it as well. I would have been fine if he just asked us to leave politely as he had his reasons. He was so rude and disrespectful, considering we're like a year or two from being adults like the rest of the guys in the shop, not 9 yr kids. Later that day, we went to the docks where there are quite a few shops, and decided to go and walk alongside the boats in the river. It was a paved area above, and a boardwalk below., where these boats were docked. You needed a pass to go down to the boardwalk. We just decided to stop and watch the boats on the paved area, while my friend took a picture of the nice view. Some random bloke with a dog just walked behind, and very aggressively and rudely said to us 'if you even think about jumping down there, the security will be right onto you!!'. He wasn't even security, just a random guy. I said back to him 'we're just stood here looking at the boats', and he walked off shaking his head saying, 'these kids….'. I thought that was so rude. It really p1sses me off when these guys think they're superior or dominant over us, and we're some badly behaved 10 year olds. We're practically adults also. This isn't the only time it's happened. It always does happen, when these guys think we're gonna commit some crime. You nailed that one Joe, that's exactly how I feel about it, we're just doing what any other adult would do, like you outlined

The security one is so true, as a young teen, when I go shopping and I have a large bag, the staff just think I’m planning on stealing everything and just follow me around!! 😂😂
