You should start a research project of doing the correct names for the skills. Some of them are pretty obviously incorrect such as all the ones Nellie Kim named or some other ones
I feel like the real Chusovitina to complain about is the 1/1 double layout, which was actually named the Tuzhikova, with the Chusovitina being a separate skill until the FIG conveniently forgot about Tuzhikova competing her 1/1 in layout 4 years before Chuso. Probably because more people would have been upset had Chuso been erased from the code than Tuzhikova.
And they really should be two different skills since Chusovitina does her full twist on the second flip. It's like how even though the Biles and the Dos Santos II are both double layouts with a half turn, they two different skills because of when the turn happens.
the fan dismount was also competed by deidra graham 🇺🇸 in 1995 (also by probably a lot of chn juniors) worth noting that bai chunyue 🇨🇳 also did a rudi in 2000, 2 years before chuso got it named after herself.
While I understand the sentiment behind, you have to understand that eponymous skills only get registered when done in an FIG competition, so the more accurate title could've been gymnasts who were the first to compete the skills not the "wrong gymnast" and yes the Nellie Kim stuff I totally agree with, I mean she hijacked a ton of em but the ones mentioned in this video really don't qualify for the "wronged" category imho.
Expecting the FIG to keep up with domestic competitions would be ridiculous. It just doesn't make sense. Also, NO ONE does the Chuso 2 with a laid out position including Atler. No one should be getting credit for it.
i think it's so unfair that gymnasts can get skills named after themselves at competitions not available to every country, eg the european championships.
No. Because there are also "African Championships", "Pan American Championships", "Asian Championships", and "Oceania Championships". There's something for everyone, no matter what part of the world you're from.
