Varunnn!! You won't loose money if we switch to youtube premium. RU-vid will pay you from the premium user's monthly payment. You get a fraction of the money according to the number of watch hours the user spends on your channel vs the rest of RU-vid. You will get better compensation per premium viewer than per ad revenue viewer.

I think Varun missed the cost part for youtube premium,. It's a trade-off, In 10 years either you will save 5 days or Rs35,000(by accounting for 7% YOY inflation for 10 years)). Or a different way to ask yourself Would you watch ads for straight 5 days if somebody pay you INR 35,000? I won't (Time>>>>>Money)
But an ad wastes more time than just it’s runtime. An ad in the middle of an instructional video disrupts the flow, annoys you, and other tangents. Not having that flow disrupted would’ve let you understand whatever topic much better and over the years that may compound to more than 5 days.
Just be smart and get vanced youtube no ads + some extra cool features that even premium doesn't provides for free lol Edit - saw he mentioned vanced but like from my perspective its not my loss 😎also its not just about ads vanced actually helps me multitasking like play some podcast or some video in bg and do something else which saves a lot of my time tbh
I'm going to calculate like the way he did for ads. 99 * 12 * 10 * 5. A total of 60000. For 60k I I would watch ads for 5 days. Think it this way. Watch ads for 5 days and get paid 60k or pay 60k and don't watch ads. Which deal is better?
12 minutes is such an understatement. I watch way more than that. also, mostly the videos that I watch are very longer which have many ads in between them as well like lectures and podcasts. that's why i bought RU-vid subscription, also the added advantage is that I can listen to the audio with my screen off.
I can definitely relate to the ear buds. But instead of Bose, I purchased airpods 3rd gen. Advantage: They don’t come with the tip which blocks your ear completely. Disadvantage: But, for sure it’s not easy to wear them and sleep.
RU-vid premium for me now is like a necessity. I can cut down on any other things but not on RU-vid premium. And it's not about saving time but it's about not disturbing my concentration. Imagine being in the middle of watching a complex tutorial and out of nowhere a 15sec. Unstoppable as pops out. I feel like smashing my phone. So rather than breaking my phone RU-vid premium is cheap for me.
I feel like advancement in technology makes people more reliant on it, which is gradually turning people dumb. ( Applies to specific kind of technology only, one of them being grammarly)
I use YT Premium for the whole family - including the TV @ 189/month. Best part is, it counts accounts not devices. So each person in the family can use YT Premium on multiple devices.
One small correction. If your viewers are using RU-vid Premium, you will make more money from them than people who just watch ads. So you are not loosing money here, you will be having advantage. RU-vid Premium money will not just sit inside RU-vid's pocket.
As far as it goes, I expect that modern targeted advertisements contribute to accelerating the development of the economy by giving smaller niche providers a chance to reach the right people. Startups don't have insane marketing budgets and you don't only want big companies to be able to reach new customers.

Completely agree with you for RU-vid premium and Grammarly Pro. Using Brave or ad blockers might get the job done but YT Premium is more than just the ads. You can now stream videos from your phone like a podcast. Especially with content like yours where I can plug in my ear buds and focus on listening. I've taken a family plan which is like ₹189/- per month at the time of writing this. I pay for this myself and have shared it with my parents and a couple of my closest friends. I don't make a lot of money from my job. Still, I'd choose YT Premium over Netflix or any other streaming services any time. This even saves me the money with YT music that I would've instead used on a Spotify subscription.
Lol gigabit internet has nothing to do with how fast a website opens. Latency has no correlation with whether you have 40mbps plan or a gigabit plan. It mostly depends on the router and your ISP if they can give you the best latency. But for downloading stuff, yeah, gigabit does help a lot.

I feel the Explanation for wasting 5days of 1 year on RU-vid Ads was a total flop. Is it important? Ofcourse, no doubt! It lets you have uninterrupted knowledge and keep aways from bullshit ads. But the explanation that You spend 50 days in 10 years on RU-vid Ads isn't important! 💯
Yes, i agree with him. If you can afford something and if it adds value to your life. Then you should go ahead and purchase. Indian mindset is driven by saving, or spending on stupid things. Which doesn’t add any value but makes you look rich. I’ve many such stories 😂. Even i used to pirate most of the Series, books and what not. And i used to go through alot of trouble to get it in sync throughout my devices, when i can spend couple hundred and get it available throughout my devices. I used to beg here and there for Netflix subscription, when I’d spend 500-800 on a single sitting of alcohol. Now I consider to buy of take subscription of most of the things. I realised taking RU-vid, Netflix, Amazon, Hotstar these things used to make my life harder now since i started taking subscription i am on peace of mind. And it all even doesn’t add up to ₹1000. 😂

Got the yt premium now I can't go back I don't mind paying for it it's like snacks money or a movie ticket. The value it gives me is much more. Ik there are probably apps that will give these features for but hey it's fine it's 120rs
Instead of buying a RU-vid premium. I do download those videos I want to watch. Yes, most videos we can't download. But for me watching this kind of content so I do download it
