1:54 I love the classic Midwest thing about turning your plate upside down when throwing it away so you don't upset anybody on which food you didn't like.
White out? Dat stuff costs money dont'cha know? Grandma always ripped "em down the fold and wrote on da back! Wahla Chritmas post card 😂🤣 ( And, yes I'm serious! lol)
If you removed all the killing and the terrorists - Die Hard is basically a Hallmark movie. Estranged blue collar husband flies across the country to share Christmas with corporate executive wife and ends up re-kindling the romance and she falls in love with him all over again. C'mon. It's a Christmas movie.
Wrote an entire essay once, arguing it WAS a Christmas movie! It’s a Christmas miracle. If it wasn’t Christmas, he never goes to LA, he never goes to LA the thieves win and all hostages die.
It must be great fun at Charlie's parents' house at Christmas. They have twelve children and grandchildren galore. Merry Christmas Charlie to you and all your family. You've given me lots of laughs this year.
Leinenkugel was my grandpa's favorite beer! Nice to see it this time of year. We still keep a can in the fridge for him, even though he passed almost 4 years ago now. Merry Christmas everyone!
I said this the other day on a different video but I'll say it again here: to me, the only requirement to be a Christmas movie is that the events of the movie wouldn't happen if Christmas wasn't involved. The only reason John Maclane was going to LA was to see his estranged wife and children for Christmas, therefore Christmas is essential to the plot. By this logic, Die Hard is a Christmas movie.
Also the thieves planned the heist to take place during the holidays when security would be minimal, and workforce presence would be smaller. At least that's what I think I remember.
Agreed. I always figured if I can count every Hallmark movie with a Christmas tree or snow in it as a Christmas movie, there is no reason Die Hard couldn’t be a Christmas movie
I love Charlie Berens because he reminds me of all the estranged family gatherings we endure for pumpkin pie and trinkets...spend more time with family you animals so there is no awkwardness during holidays...keep er movin
I love that you used your family in this. I think this will be something you all will love in the years to come. I wish I had some videos like this of my family!
Yes. Just got home from work. Exhausted. Got me some Charlie to watch. Ah lads it’s Christmas already. Greetings from Ireland ( the beer capital of the world )🎄🎄🎄
I agree, Charlie, Die Hard is definitely a Christmas movie. So is Das Boot, with the scene in Vigo, and they do get home for Christmas, only it doesn't turn out so well. My personal favorite Christmas film is The Lion in Winter. Full of family fights. Merry Christmas!
My brother's friend had a "Keystone Christmas" one year he cut open beer cans flat and cut them into snowflakes with his mom's snowflake crafting punch And decorated tree with them.....his wife was this is the one time you get to do this!
My sister got an Advent Calendar for the cats last year (filled with fish flavored treats) because much like Charlie, I can't be trusted around ones for humans. 😂
In our family, in the 70s, it was Leinenkugel’s and Pabst blue ribbon and then us kids grew up and brought Miller into the game😂 You have me missing Wisconsin 💜 my two oldest sons live in Wisconsin and they are in their 30s- they say they will never leave😄
Best part is the gingerbread house joke. “Someone forgot to pay their taxes so forclosure, you hate to see it happen this time of year but it’s just how the cookie crumbles.” Charlie “So you forgot?” Girl
Tastes like Michelob Ultra after you drop it in the lake and gets a buncha lake water in it. You bet i'm still gonna drink it, but I won't be happy about it.
Funny, except for the Rolling Rock slam. Not the best, granted, but it got me through college and is still a go-to, if I can find it! Merry Christmas and thanks.
