Hi, friends! We did something different for our video this time. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and decided to do a hotel and room tour from our staycation.
This video features the luxurious 5-star hotel, the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort and Club at Dana Point California. Our anniversary fell on a weekday so when we staycationed, there weren't a lot of people (a real pro considering this pandemic).
In this video, we did a full tour of the hotel plus it's amenities which were featured at the end. We also did a room tour. The staff gave us a room upgrade, from a Garden View King room to a Resort View King room which had killer views! 💛 Be sure to watch 'til the end for that gorgeous balcony view!
The Monarch Bay Beach club, the resort's exclusive seaside restaurant, will be featured in a separate video together with the beach area :)
Personally, we LOVED our stay and we are seriously considering Waldorf Astoria again for our future staycations. And if you want to get away from the crowds of LA or San Diego, definitely consider Dana Point! It's not too far from the more famous Laguna Beach, but offers the same gorgeous SoCal beach experience.

I absolutely love your vantage point in each and every video. I didn't realize how lovely the Waldorf Astoria is...I mean I have heard of it, but jeez Louise this is beautiful. I wanted to dip my toe in that fountain. Hahaha! And the view of the water....wow!

This is probably the most sleek, clean, and most beautiful resorts I have ever seen! The pool side looks lovely and def a place I would love to hangout at. The views are so gorgeous. ✨

I’ve stayed at a few Waldorf Astorias and they are all grand. But this one takes the cake! I loved that fountain area! And the pool area was spacious!! Great tour of the hotel!

Oh my goodness! This looks like it is straight out of the movies. I love your filming and editing style. And how the information/details are easy to read but don’t detract from the beauty your are showcasing. One thing the impressed me is how it could have that classic “mansion” feel while still seeming modern. And those views 😍 Thank you for sharing ⛲️

This is the prettiest hotel I have ever seen. First of all that view is EVERYTHING! I also love that the hallways have mirrors leaning against walls. That is such a great interior design idea and I'm sure it makes the halls feel even bigger. OMG the fitness center is AMAZING! Now how do I convince my hubs to let us stay here?

My gosh this hotel has some nice view so pretty, the decor is so unique. The view of the beach is calming and one of my fave is the mirrors down the hallway I love em'.

This hotel is like right out of s movie or tv show!!! The scenery is beautiful and I absolutely would love to stay there!! What camera do you use your video are always so clear and really good quality?

Hi!! Thanks so much! I use my phone (Samsung S20plus) and set the camera to 4k. I also use a DJI gimbal :)

This resort is so beautiful!! I have heard about Waldorf Astoria but always get intimidated by the price! Thanks for showing us around! Now I see why! lol love the ocean view!! 😍 by the way, if you don’t mind me asking, what kind of camera stabilizer do you use? It’s so smooth even though you’re walking! ❤️

The ocean view is my faaave 💛 Thanks for watching! And we used the DJI stabilizer. It's an older model from 2018 I think but still does the job ☺

This was originally built as a St. Regis hotel in 2004. It was pretentious and not run particularly well and crashed and burned less then a decade after opening.

@@goldenislandwalks I knew someone who worked there during 2007/2008 which by then it was already an "unstable" place. You know the scene where people would fake and lie about being rich, were rude, obnoxious, and overly demanding guest. And a lot the staff couldn't stand the "Housewives of Orange County" Clientele.
