That's how I like my instructional videos - slow pace, content sticks to scope and important points emphasized. 11 minutes and I know how to do a sequence diagram. Great tutor.
Thank you for your comment. You have point out the main reason we added background music to the video. We are dicussing internally to decrease (or mute) the background music while speaking and increase (smoothly) while there is dead air but we need to do some research about how to do it. Anyway, thank you very much for all of yours constructive comment.
Hi Atik, you can use connect a Creation Message to a lifeline. By doing this it indicate the lifeline is created by a message, and it will show it below to parent lifeline.
Hi, I am also using the visual paradigm software to draw sequence diagram. Here I have doubt, What if the card validation failed, how will be the sequence.???
This is great software. I've been using VP SDE-NB (Modeler edition) for years now. As of version 10 you now use VP UML stand alone and then install the IDE integration part so you actually get 2 programs with 1 license. Having said all that; I have to agree that the video's aren't always as appealing as they could be. Very good content, IMO awesome software but this could use some brushing up. But I do hope you guys keep up the good work!
Can we draw sequence diagram for image processing like converting video to frames or deblurring images. Please help me on this. What diagrams can we draw for image processing
Thank you very much for a very easy-to-understand and well-paced tutorial. Question: Is there a way to show one step that might happen in parallel to all other steps in the diagram?
Nice video !!! It would be nice to mention the difference between the returned message 1.2 and 1.3.1 . Why is 1.2 is dotted line and 1.3.1 is solid line ?
How do we draw a multiple choices event in a Sequence Diagram? Like for example, having to choose one option in the ATM machine menu among other options.
The password verified message or action shouldn't be returned to the keypad. The keypad can have only input from the actor where as the display can have input from any class.
Hi, I have a university "Module Registration System", and I would like ask how to draw looping which model that a student registers for a module and the system is going to sent a return message back to the student with the module's information.
+Avneesh Sujeebun You have to look carefully. Keypad sends a message to Display for the 1st time. Though the arrow direction is reversed, it will be black not dotted. Then Display sends a respond message to Keypad. So it it will be dotted.
Never nice tutorial and I found it very helpful. In my opinion the lifelines should be in the following order: Actor -> Display -> Card Reader -> Key Pad -> Bank.
