Thank you so much for the video. Your channel is very inspiring! Question: why is it that when you type in a keyword like "maze book" in the ALL department you get 8,000 results, but in the BOOKS section you get 60,000 results for the same keyword? Which of these two results should we take into account? And why is there such a difference?

I watched your video on creating coloring books on book bolt and using creative fabrica as well. At first glance of creative fabrica it appears that if I buy 100 coloring pages , you can buy the same 100 coloring pages and we are uploading duplicate products to KDP and we get our accounts shut down. How do I know that the Creative Fabrica designer is selling me original content?

Great question! With coloring books, if you don’t edit the pages at all, then that’s a chance you’d have to take. You’ll always receive original content, but if other people decide to create products based off of those designs, then the likelihood increases that there will be duplicates out there. You can’t do a ton to change the pages necessarily, but you can make your own tweaks so you’re clear in KDP’s eyes. This includes adding a “This Book Belongs To” page, reordering the pages, adding page numbers, adding borders, mixing and matching with other similar coloring pages, etc. It really just comes down to what you’re comfortable with. However, coloring books are riskier in that category, so if you want to play it completely safe, it may be better to create your own pages or outsource (or stay away from coloring books entirely). I’m having this issue with the interior of two books that have a mix of bleed and no bleed pages. It sucks I just want them published.

@@Chris-kd4gu Darn, that’s frustrating. What are the current dimensions of your pages? If you’ve got both bleed and no-bleed within one book, then they all need to be created like bleed pages-if that makes any sense. Please let me know if you need additional help!

@@SarahLarson yeah so the pages are 8.5x11 and I made the book in Canva. I selected Bleed in KDP but I kept getting the email: Add 0.125" (3.2 mm) to your book's page width and 0.25" (6.4 mm) to the page height to ensure that the images in your manuscript extend beyond the edge of the page. So I changed the page size to 8.625x11.25, reupload tried with bleed and no bleed and still getting the error. I have to also mention I was trying to be fancy by putting a pattern on the back of the pages since they’re single sided, that was throwing errors so I removed it tried again. I think I resized back down to 8.5x11 and chose bleed again. Hopefully this time it works.

As I mentioned in the video, sort of, but not really. You definitely have options, but any free alternative likely won't have all the great features that Book Bolt brings to the table. That being said, if keywords are what you need, try taking a peek at Self-Publishing Titans. I don't have any personal experience with them, but they have a free (I believe) tool I've heard great things about! Hope that helps!
