You sounded very defeated in this video. Sucks to see that because i do appreciate your input and knowledge towards the game. Hope things turn around for you bud
I'm sad to hear about the low viewership on your history of videos because those inspired me to go back and watch the Regionals for when I first started playing PvP in the medicham, gligar froslass sableye licki meta. It's been a fun journey improving from the low 2000's to a 2900 elo player right now over the span of 6 months. While I always team build on my own, I still appreciate your team showcases as well
I only recently got into the PVP part of Pokémon GO and found your channel, and I'd like to just say that I appreciatie your videos a lot, your vibes are just what I need and I have learned a lot the past few months.
Hey Dan, just my own perspective on catch cup: I’ve been playing gbl about a year but I’ve hit legend the last two seasons. I’m probably about equal to your average legend in terms of skill, but catch cup gave me an opportunity to finally make it to the leaderboards because I’m never than most legends so I still build meta stuff each season. It’s been a really fun privilege to play against the top battlers in the world, and I probably wouldn’t be able to do that if not for the catch cup spice at post legend elo. Not the most common situation to be in, but just my two cents as to why I’ve been enjoying catch cup! PS my team last couple days has been shadow skarm, clodsire, serperior
This cup inspired a potentially fun idea for content. You could make a challenge between you and another content creator where you have one day to catch a team and then see who can get more wins in PvP. You could make a "blog" style video explaining how you catch your team and then showcase them.
@@DrRoddy_every time I run charjabug it manages to wind up on an incinerate user or a carbink. 😂 I feel lanturn is a much better option based on what I’m seeing.
I look forward to your videos everyday when i get home, i appreciate the authentic non-showman performance. The “history of” videos are probably my favorite ones, and i liked your team building one too. Maybe do a video for optimal move timing and counting? I guarantee that’ll get views because a lot of people ask homeslice and xehr for one and they just link a really outdated, non thorough video that’s confusing. I feel like you’d be able to explain better with scenarios.
Decided to try the ladder battles in pokemon scarlet while im on break from GBL... It's got so many things weve always wanted for pogo.. you can rent teams so you don't need to grind to build anything or rely on rng for ivs if you don't want to... it's show 6 pick 4... there's a casual mode where you can battle random people online without it affecting your rank if you want to test a team.. you won't lose battles to frame drops... I hadn't battled other people in a normal pokemon game since pokemon red and I went up to rank 7 in 2 days.. not saying I'm going to make the change permanently, but it is tempting
Can't wait to watch you crush it next season! Who you use and how you play. It helps when have ever counter and moveset for each mon.....MEMORIZED! lol I'm working on that through grinding currently.
I do think coaching sessions would do really well too. A lot of us are missing a piece and would love to see the mistakes others (ourselves) are making
Had a surprising 38-12 run to reach my best record ever at 2595 Elo with Mandibuzz Skeledirge and Goodra as a safe switch. Finally the game showed me some love and luck 😂
Dan, I've run this exact team since the start of catch cup. Only difference is I run Mandi lead and a shadow Gligar. The team is broken. I've gone from 2700->3175. Lanturn dominates!
No worries on the little cup. I only sent it because you asked in your little cup video if anyone was running the top couple. Also, I rode that team to 2443 and then EVERYONE has a Meta team. It’s disgusting. You are playing to a time out victor and I’m not kidding. You have to save Pokémon with 1hp giving up switch so you still have it when the timer goes up. The sets take FOREVER.
the bit about people submitting videos, i think you should mention it at the start of your videos. kinda like a youtube fluff in the beginning, the ol “like and subscribe”, submit videos yadda yadda yadda, and then drop in the part about submitting 2 sets of battles, and mention you’re looking for great league battles
You have probably thought about streaming on twitch, and decided against it due to time constraints. But I hope that you reconsider, I'm fairly certain that cross platform content contamination would have good synergy. Also, I also suspect that at this point of the season, a large part of your viewership have season fatigue and or depression due to not hitting legend, and are not watching any more pokemon content for the remainder of the season. I like your content and your takes, and hope that you continue doing it!
It the only people who do that don’t have any responsibility pass them self!? No kids, No Big Bills!? So of curse they do the extra just to make money that Tesla is not going to pay her self you know! Lol
I enjoy your content but I think most of your vids are twice as long as needed. There’s a lot of talking which is nice but it doesn’t add value / add to the conclusion for me. May I suggest the following: 1. Keep the vids as is but then start streaming it. Personally I’d rather watch the discussions live. Then upload to yt and potentially double dip the revenue. 2. Have a clear purpose with each video, “why should they watch this one?” You probably don’t have the time to script but maybe bullet points to keep a red thread. 10-12 minutes seem to be the generic sweet spot for retention and revenue. 3. Add post production, some alternating camera angles, background music and animations in the future can come a long way. The history off concept is an excellent concept but is probably better in short form to pull views. Tying back to 3., it needs custom graphics and animations imo to take off in the essay format. These comments are all my personal opinion and simply a single “voc”. Not meant as criticism. Br Fredrik
I'm at 2712, I haven't hit legend yet. But I don't think I'm going to make it. I made my way today to 2800 ish but kept losing set 2-5 or 1-5. I'm out of dust and my teams have obvious weaknesses. If someone has good recommendations go ahead: Pokemon Built and eligible: Shadow Tentacruel Victreebel Mandibuzz Wigglytuff Mantine Heliolisk Greedent Shadow Abomasnow Shadow Steelix Ferrothorn
grass double flyer could work ferro on the lead and mantine + mandi in the back could also sub out 1 of the flyers for greedent or steelix safe swap (but this'll make ur team aba weak to fighting, so maybe vic on the lead instead?)
IMO, if you want to make evergreen content, you need to put more effort into them. For these team showcases/rambles, I really don't care if there are typos/speaking mistakes or if you ramble about irl for 15 minutes. But with your educational/history videos, I believe you'd be way better off taking time to edit, research, give dates, etc etc. Because as much as I love your rambles in these showcases, I don't wanna hear goofiness in a video that I am meant to be learning from
Quit complaining about views. You know better than us that you don't edit your videos & you don't care about quality. Your only mindset is 2 daily videos and talking. Be analytical to yourself.
