I get the frame thing, I personally love the look of stock, if I was going to replace anything it would probably only be brakes anyways but a lot of people tear down everything
I feel your pain on bikes these days the chain rings cranks hubs to name a few are total junk out of the box and off the dealer floor. I went thru all that and more with mountain bikes. It's like you have to buy/install all the upgrade parts before you ride it for the first time to get a finished product that will last but that will void the warranty and that is super expensive. Not just SE but all bike companies should offer up the complete bikes or frame and forks so we can build the bikes of our dreams but it's mostly 20" bmx bike frames get that option.
I’m 39 and wanted to get back into riding bikes .. I’ve always been a skateboarder first, but my knees just can’t take it anymore because of previous injuries .. I was seriously looking at SE at first, because they’re everywhere! But doing my homework before I dropped the cash on a complete I noticed a lot of companies do this , they sell bikes with cheap parts that are meant to be upgraded.. so I ended up buying an EVIL, because their bikes come loaded with top shelf parts .. it was more expensive, but worth it when you start adding up the parts separately .. the fork alone on my EVIl is worth close to $1000 .. I got the whole bike on sale for $1400.. much peace and respect from Southern California 🤙🏻 ✌🏻
Bro the intro with the Z nexted to the fox body drop along with the gxer and YZ 2stroke got me… all things iv owned or still do. Guarantee if we met we’d be best of friends by the end of our meeting lol. Nice stuff man an good video!
thanks man! i know they are just materialistic but when i see my garage, i feel accomplished and proud. i wish we could kick it... what state you from?
I got a 2020 so cal delived to my house in 2019, and none of these were issues. I actually didnt have any issues with my So cal. Its lasted 3 years and is still going strong. Ive gone through 2 pairs of grips, because the original SE grips slowly twist, wheelie by wheelie until they tear.
8 spline 3pc cranks with pinchbolts are notorious for loosening up. Put a wrench on them before every ride. Other than that, you should always get your bike assembled at a reputable bike shop. Solves a lot of the issues associated with lower quality bikes.
I live on the East Side and with the Maniacc Flyer sale it is impossible to find anywhere. Just got my hands on one and it takes to 2 weeks to deliver.
Dig the video and agree 1,000 percent! Arctic is muh favorite too 👍🏻 and yep I’m picking up a GT world tour sky blue tommorow 🥰,,, can’t wait. Liked and subbed Ohhh btw dig your channel name lol 👍🏻
I agree bro shipping is rough af but I love upgrading ‘em, attention to detail. I got GT Performer upgraded it w high end parts and it’s a sick bike. Blue big ripper on the way, I’ll change the brake lever& cable, throw a WI freewheel on it and go wheelie that mofo
I just got a 2021 blocks flyer and I sold my 2019 blocks flyer and the 2021s are hard and one tip to get a new one is call a lot of bike shops all them every week
Nice video - I have the bike you said you wanted; the GT Pro Performer 2021 blue. I love it too, been doing simple mods for cosmetics. Damn dude I wish you lived in the DMV // MD area we could ride out!
Hey what’s up Brotha! From personal experience, would you say se bikes are solid for long ride outs? Not too familiar with the bike game but I’ve always thought BMX style bikes were meant for street and parks etc but def seen a lot during those long ride outs. Appreciate your help I’m advance g!
Looks like you're on a 20" PK Ripper? #6 assembly is good out of the box, but you have to loosen chain and retighten everything. Air up tires. Adjust bars. Ect. Ect. I want a 27.5 PK Ripper in Silver Aluminum but they're hard to find. I may have to try the beast mode.
I’m over here with a new 29” Big Flyer… I should’ve stretched the extra $100 and got the Ripper for the higher quality but I was a sucker for the Big Flyer camo blue with white bars.
would you say SE bikes are good to learn wheelies on cause rn i have a really old bike that doesnt pedal well and has no back break so its hard to learn should i buy a big ripper and learn or nah? im thinking a big ripper cause im 6'2 185 at 14 so im still gonna grow more
Great and beautiful bikes its a shame they are made in China. Does SE. Really make that much more money out sourcing the work. They seem like a company that's actually driven by the love of the sport not the ol mighty dollar. If that's their reason to not make the bikes in the USA.
I prefer gt bikes over se just feel like se is overrated. I ride the 2021 gt performer heritage in peach and personally love the bike and feels better to me compared to my buddies big ripper
im tryna buy a SE Bike but i live in new york city, a lot of SE Bikes are stolen (my friend got his stolen weeks ago) how would i be able to make my shit theft proof
Put apple air tags in the bars or something so you can find it or bring it inside every time I live in a small apartment in maine and I have to squeeze my bike into mine it sucks but better then it getting stolen
Real shit about the frame my friend broke my public enemy frame and I was searching for someone willing to sell the frame I had a friend but he flaked on me and I ended up buying a maniacc off my friend for 500 flat
I have the white Heritage in 20". My friend has the pink one and we ride them hard. Yes they are a bit over-priced, but they are leaps and bounds above a department store bike.
