For pick ups im a gmc guy not a fan of ford trucks except the raptor also lol if i hit my numbers in the lotto id go purchase a new sierra denali, ford raptor and tacoma limited, what a fleet that would be.
Mo_ Muscle351 It’s a v6 truck That ends up going $85k OTD. You should at least be getting a decent interior. Even a base cheap bmw has a much nicer interior.
Alex yeah your right but remember that your buying the raptor for the performance and looks. The base model Mercedes or bmw might have a nice interior but that’s it. BMWs and Mercedes even Audi engines are made out of plastic
Jorge Alvarez You can buy a new raptor for $60k now. Probably because everyone is complaining about it. People who just need a truck don’t buy a raptor. People who buy a raptor buy it because they think it’s cool.
I thought this would be a constructive review, basically you’re just a rich dude making annoying complaints about how your $75,000 truck isn’t nice enough....
@@francisprevel1 I'll agree about that, I own a Gen 1 and there is a big difference when in a Gen 2, but I will have to say... the justification in their price increase is garbage. However, I can appreciate it for what it is even though Ram's TRX project and Raptor Gen 3 look more promising.
TR13DGE 716 yes I agree. If anything the 1st gen is also more reliable with the 6.2 and longer lasting transmission. The first gen has just as good of an interior with the touch screen. I’m not hating on the gen 2, it’s just that they scam the buyers with numbers added to the price lol and they know people only want to lease or finance for just a couple years so they don’t care about longevity of the trucks.
Right?!!! I had just welcomed him to the Ford Family on his other video he posted about how it was his DREAM TRUCK three weeks ago and even praised how it was his dream truck and is already whining about it all. Go watch it! Pretty much everything he's whining about on this video, he praised on the other! Watch that video! Oh, and a week ago, he does a "Best Truck Ever," video. LOL! I've just unsubscribed.
I’ve owned (1) 2010, (2) 2017, and (1) 2019 currently Raptors. Haha your video is a joke. When you start talk about the lights looking cheap makes me laugh. There is nothing poor quality on that truck. Go look at a Chevy, dodge, Toyota, and Nissan if you want poor finishes and cheap plastic. There is a reason everyone copies Ford and it’s not what you waste 15 minutes talking about. We in the raptor community would like you to consider trading back to the brand you came from as you don’t represent us well.
@@nmotionproductions29 All I do is plow kids over on the bunny slopes, and play sports against 5 year olds. Taken my Tundra on some seriously gnarly ass Red trails here in CO, scraped up wheels and hit diffs and all sorts of stuff. Compared to most dudes who buy whatever vehicle only to armor all the tires and talk about what it could do...and a few gravel roads. Either way, if you ever want to shred let me know, I got your # right here in my front pocket.
you literally complained about almost everything except the color... the lights the interior the entire media system the plastic.. Dude its 2019, everything is plastic the doors the way it drives the fake nose.. what? fuel? bro you bought a truck lol... and spent 75k ???? please tell me why you bought this vehicle. You talk about loving the truck but.. ? I think your next video should be "The only thing i love about my truck"
I have a GMC 1500 and i gurantee you the shifting is much more smoother and better than this raptor. Furthermore, the interior is so crappy on the f150 raptor. Its not good quality plastic it feels plastic that you would see on an old honda go to the dealership and actually feel the texture mate. Peace
Ben didnt say he hates his truck. He's pointing out objective things about the Raptor. You should be thankful for him but it seems youre butthurt because youre a mindless raptor fanboy
You complain too much. I own a 2018 raptor. Plus I’ll guarantee you didn’t do your homework. From all that whining and complaining you do sell the truck and let someone else who actually wants it and appreciates it have it.
I know you have a RU-vid channel so you have to think of things to make videos about but you bought the raptor you wrapped it up in orange now you make a video about the crappy plastic in the interior you knew that when you bought it that’s kind of crappy of you
Why did you buy this truck? All the things you complained about are the things you check before you purchase the truck especially at that price. P.s ford in my opinion don’t really have nice accents. The cost of a raptor F150 in Aussie is about $185,000 aud ($126000 US) right hand drive. And the quality workmanship really isn’t worth it. We have a mid size “ranger raptor” worth $54524.00 US don’t get me wrong it looks the part but the things your complaining about are the mai. reasons why a lot of Aussie won’t buy the raptor. They would buy the lower version of the raptor which is the wildtrak and after market part and still have change in the pocket. Much love in Australia 🇦🇺
Lol, you can ask the dealer to turn the noise off, i don't think it's even on in most of the 802a's. Or get forscan and a little laptop to use in the truck.... that way you can pretty much go through all the electronics turning everything you don't want off. This doods an idiot... buys a big off road truck, complains it isn't s class luxury, wraps it in that god awful colour, complains about the lights not being bright enough.. which they are (and you don't want to blind oncoming traffic, that be no bueno). If that thing even touches wet grass once i'll be surprised.
@@dodo19923 right! I just traded in my 2006 Toyota Tacoma for a raptor. The headlights in the raptor are like freaking daylight compared to my Toyota Tacoma. The lights are awesome!
So they ditched the V8 and replaced it with V6 turbo charged for fuel economy but what you showing us is the same bad fuel consumption or even worse with low reliability 😅 I love the raptor but the price and it's reliability issues especially with its gear concerned me. Maybe the Tremor with its 7.3 gasoline engine will sound and be better or with that unbelievable 6.7 liter diesel engine with its mind blowing torque 1050 of " 1423 Nm " which costs as much as this raptor costs and do more stuff except speed runs in desert and jumping but you can tow your house with you and do decent of roading 😅
Hey to each there own the Diesel is built for hauling/towing. Yes people do like V8 over V6 Turbos. In the end the Raptor with V6 Turbos, Unique looks over the stock trucks and off Road abilities is a beast truck
When Obama bailed out Dodge I sold my Dodge Hemi. I grew up with Dodge and it was the best change I ever made. Ford just fits together better no rattle and shakes like my dodge. That said the Hem is still a beast!
@@mugs2169 Please man my trainee at work Leased a Rebel and I bought a Raptor. His looks truck looks like a paste on addition to a standard Ram. The Raptor is its own beats even he agrees wish I leased a Raptor.
I agree my Rebel 12 is way better on the interior , not even close , and the fact they pipe a fake exhaust sound to the interior speakers is like WTF lmao , dont get me wrong Ive had fords for years and my 14 was a good ride but wow im very happy I made the switch to Ram ..!!!
Ra Wright rebel is built poorly, even worse than the new raptors. New trucks are crap quality and just look the part. It has a lot of made in China parts and won’t last more than 100 000 miles while running strong without any issues. They are overpriced fake luxury vehicles. Real luxury vehicles are Lexus and Audi.
That entire 10 speed is just STUPID! If you’re driving under 45 miles an hour it is just constant, and I’m in constant shifting. Completely ridiculous! If I’m driving under 45 miles an hour in normal drive mode I just downshift on the left paddle shifter twice and turn the truck into an eight speed.
It's because its in normal mode. The 10 speed skips gears 2 and 4 during normal acceleration, and does the same during the down shift. Ford has a video explaining that it's designed to do that to conserve fuel economy. Switch to sport mode or other modes makes the transmission cycle through all the gears. I have a 2020 Raptor as well and they told me when I hammer on it to switch to sport or baja mode. Other wise the normal mode will learn to hard shift during acceleration/deceleration in daily driving conditions.
I'm A die hard Chevy guy but I really do love the interior of the Rams give then big credit for that..
4 года назад
Rams are the bomb!!! The interior is so nice and well done compared to the plan plastic interior of the Ford. Yes, the Raptor is a phenomenal truck but the interior is just plain cheap.
Dude you are clueless as to why they don't put high end stuff on the truck. It's built for Off Road not a ride and look at me Truck. Off road people don't want that stuff because it's a waste of money for them.
Ben Hardy makes great observations. There's nothing wrong with seeing that the Ford Raptor is a base Ford F-150 made high class. The engineers at Ford did not care to engineer from a luxury standpoint up. They just take their base models and slap on upgrades. Less work more profit. Again, Ben makes a GREAT point on what's called VALUE. Is the Raptor really worth over $75000? No, I dont think so
The raptor in ALL its glory is still an F150. Went to the gym, NEVER went to charm school. I’m a truck lover, but this is the pros vs cons of your rebel. I think your rebel is a better daily and having the raptor is status and testosterone ( grown ups Tonka toy) Which is better?
Millennials are the beginning of the end of America. Honestly bud it’s an off road pick up truck. Go buy a cute little bmw if you want to rub your hands on something soft while driving.
Axle Wrap and Wheel Hopping: SVC Off Road makes traction bars that help mitigate this, but also reportedly reduce ground clearance. KrazyHouseCustoms makes a Torque Arm that appears to almost completely eliminate it without reducing ground clearance and also includes an optional rear diff skid plate that looks bad ass. I have been eyeing it for my rig, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Here's a link to a video they did with the Torque arm installed: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zMLEi4M1ZUQ.html Fuel economy: I noticed much better mileage on my raptor after a 4 or 5k miles. Also 4A mode does reduce overall MPG, which was the mode you had selected during your filming of MPG. I have just over 10k miles on my 19 Raptor 802A SuperCrew and I average 15-16mpg. I also only use 91, but don't know if that would play a part in my MPG. Either way, I agree with you I don't care much about MPG. Shifting was clunky as shit for me too at the start, but somewhere after 5 or 6k miles it smoothed out. It really upset me at first though, so I get where you are coming from. Cheers and enjoy!
Guys give him a break I mean seriously he is clearly not a truck guy. There is not one real truck guy that would complain about the most off road worthy factory truck on the planet! On the planet! Wow, you are so lucky dude. I worked my butt off to get my 2018 King Ranch. Would kill for a raptor (not an orange one) a mans color. These youtube kids that are just looking for something to post and shame on all of us for watching it. Cheers all!
Buy a catch can and keep it moving. Some people can't even afford to buy a 75,000 dollar house and you complain about a dream truck. You are blessed man, be grateful for what you have.
When you keep saying, “I love the truck”...but, but, but, but, tells me honestly that you are not happy or satisfied with the purchase. I have had many GM’s, Ford’s, but my 2020 Ram has been my most satisfying experience over my many years of driving!
I just bought my 2018 Raptor with 32000 miles. Will see how this fucken truck performs in the next few miles since i plan taking it off-road A LOT. From this price point, i expect a decent durability, most of the things talked in this video are redundat to me.
@@BenHardyCars Haha! Clearly if you’re offloading the truck you can’t complain about getting 12 1/2 miles to the gallon. That’s actually outstanding gas mileage!
Hold on, your headline says $70,000 midtake... yet everything you complain about is petty IMO. Did you buy this truck sight unseen? You didn't see what you were getting? I'm calling this vid click-bait all the way man.
The truck is built for off-roading so that’s probably why they put hard plastic because no issues with mud or anything just wipe it off. You could take it to a place and have them alcantara everything. Places I’ve seen does dash boards for like 500 if you like alcantara I personally like it
I like a video where all I have to do is see the likes vs the dislikes and know I shouldn't tune in. These five things videos have kinda gotten a little to trendy. Next thing you know you'll be doing a carmax video. Geesh.
I don't know much about the 10 spd trannys but I've been told to give it time, they'll smooth out. It's a learning transmission. Gas, mine gets 10.5-11 mpg in the city so count yourself lucky. Lolol Premium fuel not a must for a turbo but is recommended. Love the orange/black. If I was getting a Gen2 Raptor, yours would be exactly how I'd order mine. Just wish I could've afforded something like this at 22!
this guy makes as much sense as 2 $ bill buddy!!!! you bought THE TRUCK!!!!!!! what fuel economy. ?? it is stupid ford, it is truck and it weights almost 2.5 tons!! on other hand, this guy complains about quality of materials inside. buddy you should have bought Maserati , or Mercedes Brabus!!!! .w/ suede anyway, this guy is walking cliche. !!!! I dont know where he got money but obviously HE DID NOT earn IT!
Geeeeeezus! Why on EARTH did you buy the RAPTOR?!?!? You have other luxury models of trucks that have all the bulls--t interior complaints. I actually take my Raptor off road and am HAPPY WHEN I CAN EASILY WIPE OFF ALL THE "CRAPPY" PLASTIC! Just a typical metro-guy who wants a truck for the cool factor and not to actually use it.
You do know theres packages for what you want? Have you seen an actual raptor? Jurassic park? Nothing nice about them as in your “ interior design” decorators mindset. The cheap stuff that you pointed out are meant to not get scratches. Why? Hmmmm..... Cause its meant to do some rugged shit?! You totally bought the wrong truck for all the wrong reasons. This truck is beautiful when buying it for what its used for. I have friends who owned a few luxury trucks. Piano black in them and all the trimmings. Those things would get beat up if you used this truck for what its used for. You want a prissy truck but paid for a offroading BEAST!! I have to be honest, you complained about everything we love about any off road truck. Its like buying a Mercedes Benz and complaining that its to luxurious. Of course its luxurious its a DAMN BENZ!!🤦🏽♂️
Ford using cheap $hitty materials, and looking cheap, isn't new. My fam had a '92 Ford Probe.....and it was cheap as hell even back then. Not inexpensive - cheap. ....Did you do *any* homework on this before you bought it? Or did you KNOW this pickup sucked, amd bought it anyhow? Either way, a fairly dumb move, and now you're sniveling on RU-vid about it. 😂😂 Good job!
The money in Raptors Is in the engine and suspension components. If somebody wants the other features more they need to be looking at the Platinum, a Limited or one of the King Ranches etc. we’ve got a 2018 and love it. But I definitely need to look for the 3rd gear issue? I either haven’t noticed or it’s just not noticeably affecting me for some reason. But this is by far the nicest Ford F-150 we’ve owned. I had no idea that exhaust note was coming thru the speakers????!!!!! That kinda BS. That does upset me a little. But not enough to cry. I’m running ethanol free fuel with 88 octane in ours and getting about 13.5 to 14.00 around town. And yes I’m a little older so I don’t punch it to much. You either get Eco or boost but you can’t have both. I’ll run it hard about ever third tank of fuel. Honestly I was getting about the same out of my LARIET XLT 3.5 Ecoboost around town. However it would routinely get 18 to 20 on the freeway. So I’m not complaining a bit. I have not noticed any adverse affects from the white fuel and the truck seems to like it. 89 is the recommended octane for the ‘18 Raptor So it is not like a 91 or 93 requirement.
Crappy plastic? You are driving a truck that you could put a roll cage, fire extinguisher and some Baja BFG’s. Then drive it to Mexico, run the Baja 1000, finish the race and probably place pretty good then Drive it home. Probably some of that crappy plastic will creak or rattle after the abuse. Why did U buy the truck if all you want to do is nit pick it. Yes I drive one and it’s incredible. Stop the whining.
I've never had an American car/truck. I really like the Raptor and I want to get one badly but, my biggest gripe is the really crappy cheap hard plastics all over, I just don't understand why they'd mess up this beautiful truck with such garbage interior. If I'm paying premium why can't we get better quality interiors? Why should a 70-80k truck look and feel like a 25 grand truck. Anyone who has driven anything European or Lexus would know what I'm talking about.
Do you think Ford put so much plastic in it to be as light weight as possible for racing? Similar to the military grade aluminium body... Some of the Shelby F-350's just have a plastic seat in the back hence for racing. I'm not complaining. I love my Raptor. Maybe, replace your engine with a V8 @ Hennessey V- Raptors?
Wtf bro! You bought a Turbo six cylinder, what did you think it was going to sound like? Do you even know why it has marker lights?? Lastly, you're comparing an interior from 2015 to an all new Dodge interior. Finally you don't know how to drive. Stop whining about your first world non-issues and sell it to someone who understands it's a truck first and built to take a beating: hence "crappy interior"??
If you just can`t affort a luxury SUV like a BMW X5 stop crying....its still a "cheap" based Ford Truck, but its made for rough rides off road, who cares about carbon fiber when you run up to 75 miles an hour offroad...., so who cares, its a great off road truck and it goes where no Porsche Mercedes aso ever goes.... ??????
I own a Raptor. I also don't associate with other Ford owners. All points you made are extremely valid. I don't know anything about your other material, but the hater comments are from Ford/Raptor Fanboys and not people who can give an unbiased opinion. Truck rides nice, off-road capability is incredible, trans is horrible, stability at high speed over rough bumps is scary, interior is awful, paddles are a waste of time, exhaust note almost kept me from buying one. I feel almost exactly as you do. Really like the truck, but there are more than just a few things that are terrible. Your fuel mileage is mostly your fault. You can get 15mpg if you drive it normally. BTW, I'm sure you know you can turn the fake noise off, among other things, through Forscan.
It’s a beautiful truck. Just not $75,000 beautiful. Kind of lacking for that price. Especially being a 6 cyl and getting under 13 mpg. Maybe go back to a new Rebel. $20,000 less, more features, higher comfort level and better MPG. Even being an 8 cyl.
So, all your complaints are whiny. Your purchased the truck to hammer it off road......its not intended to be a luxury vehicle.....I would not want Alcentera, super plush leather and fancy interior to go romp in the mud, snow and dirt! As far as the electronics sounds like you need some updates to address the infotainment center lag.....you may want to connect your truck to your home wifi.. ..I would ask the stealership to see if there are any programming updates for your truck...it may address the shift issue into 3rd.....fog lights? Really dude? Wouldn't you rather have Rigid dually fog and spot lights in your bumper? Rather than crappy factory fog lights that are for show? The accent lights had to be installed because of how wide the truck is......its considered a commercial truck.....how else would you solve that issue? Yes....its a V6 twin turbo...aside from sound that motor spanks every factory truck on the market......and it's a blast to drive! I think it's a fair trade off.....
You bought a purpose built off-road truck expecting the finishes of a lariat limited? ...or mercedes? So you want leather or carbon fiber everywhere? Sounds.... uh great.. The lights are on the corners due to width of the truck, if my memory serves me correctly they were legally required being the fenders stick out past the lights so far. Fuel economy, hahaha you have 4.10 gears and 34" tires what did you expect? I found this video nearly pointless... -raptor owner
So, had you not seen this truck prior to purchasing it? Everything you "hate" was easily discoverable with a simple walk-around and test drive. The fact that it isn't a V-8 was, I'm sure, pretty clear on the sticker. If you thought the materials were crappy and the seats not soft enough, why did you buy it? I thought the comments seemed harsh as I started to watch this, but they're spot on. If your desire is to present yourself to the world as a spoiled brat, you've accomplished your goal. No one is impressed. Oh, and by the way, are you aware of the fact that there is a break-in period. From what I could see, you don't even have a 1000 miles on it yet. The transmission issues will probably smooth out.
All of the crappy trim/interior plastic is what I've come to expect from Ford for many years. It's ridiculous that they skimp on that kind of thing with a truck that can easily run >$60k. FAKE NOISE? WTF? Is there a way to hook up a computer to the truck and turn that horseshit off?
I have a F-150 XLT with a 3.5 liter EcoBoost and the 10 speed Transmission. No it’s not a Raptor but it’s like driving a rocket. No it’s not a Raptor but the interior on mine is very similar to yours. No it’s not a Raptor but the way I drive the interior sounds nearly the same as yours. No it’s not a Raptor but I too use Premium gas because I like the hotter burn in the motor. I am very pleased with my F-150 mainly because it out performs what they promised me.
Ford uses expensive matierlas causing the price to junp to 100k+ People: ThE FoRd RaPtOr iS oVeR PrIcEd. The point of useing those materials is to try and keep it cost friendly. But i like your video gives people an oponion about the truck and others view of the truck. Also the only way a company improves upon a design is imput from customers
