Heck, my breaks were making a lot worse noises which BMW dealerships couldn't fix or even acknowledge, it sounded like I drove over a rusted bicycle and dragged it to the red light - people literally turned their heads to see what sort of junk car has approached the light (it was a 1-year old vehicle). It was the time I learned all about the breaks and how to replace them, bought all sets of metric Allen wrenches, metal brushes, etc to fix my own breaks. Do I hate doing it - absolutely, especially resetting the parking break sensor, but "that" noise is no more :) Quite frankly this vehicle is no match to my 2008 5-series made in Germany, simply of a different class. I keep it for its utility, driving my kids around and to the beach and national parks, but hate the scratchy interior with fake wood all chipped by the heat (my 2008 5-series is still like new). However, the thing runs well - and that's what matters most. Thank you for your honest review :)
I've had two X5M's and they both had that specific brakes squeal when I reverse out my drive way every single morning. It's like a thing when the car is cold but always went away after about 1 minute of braking. They both sold now. I'm waiting to get my X6M :)
I've owned my e70 X5M for almost 4years and my brakes almost never squeak, like super cold morning they do but that's it. I'm doing my brakes this week if I remember I'll take note of what pads are in their. The AC controls are annoying but I've honestly just set them up to where the only thing I adjust is temp and blower speed and I never dive into the rest.
Wow, those brakes are a bit noisy. My former neighbor had a similar problem with his Lexus. You should fill those gaps between the door card and pillar with LED strip rope lights! Do a Cash-Cab headliner and cruise Burnside!!! lol
I want one too i was looking for a fast family spacious suv but no to big and the srt8 nd durango srt were my choices but to expensive i want 2010 x5m really hard to find though just a couple for sell
@@EliteBimmers It's all X5M E70 stock rotors and pads, except i got rear drilled rotors from F18. I have red that stock pads are softer, more dust but are quite.
@@EliteBimmers I use Z231429 by PowerStop (bought on amazon.com) and don't have any squicking problems. Also my friend use TRW GDB1826DTE on X6M and 0 noise. You should try.
