I still have hope they will do the redemption Fulgrim path through his clone who has his original soul. Hopefully GW doesn’t forget that Trazyn has him.
@@richardwitt2334 yeah it’s an identical soul of fulgrim from possibly another identical reality. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if they just changed it to be the original soul knowing how much GW likes to retcon. Especially since other realities might be something they don’t want to open up on.
@@astartesteadious3756 some food for thought that maybe fulgrim wasn't actually freed from the painting and it was just the demon lying and halting his assencion to a later date. There is even a moment in the mirror cracks where he is like oh that painting over there ignore that that's just the demon trying to trick you. To me that sounds like a demon trying to pull a trick but I don't know
Wouldn’t that be Abbadon, given the fact that after megatron (or, in this case, Horus) got nailed, it’s usually the case that his right hand (in most continuities: Starscream, but in this case: Abbadon) takes command, and usually fucks up royally at every turn
I choose to believe that Fulgrim isn't telling the whole truth about how he managed to get his body back from the daemon of the Laer Blade. Considering what happened with Magnus and later with the Emperor, I have a personal theory that Fulgrim's soul fractured into pieces, and only the worst parts of him made it back to his body, which is why his personality is so radically different upon his return and why he DOESN'T have moments of guilt, regret, or sorrow like the other Traitor Primarchs do and was able to embrace Slaanesh wholeheartedly while the others had to be dragged kicking and screaming into daemonhood; even Lorgar, evil hypocritical bastard that he is, has felt genuine sorrow for the things he has chosen to do. Why would I say that when Lorgar seems so gung-ho about the atrocities he's committed? Well there's a very simple answer; if you sacrifice something you don't care about, then it's not really a sacrifice, but the dearer the sacrifice is to the person offering it up, the greater value it has in the eyes of the Chaos Gods.
@@prometheanrebel3838 Well think about it. If you offer up a hated enemy, then it's a sacrifice of human life, but it has no value to you and lacks sincerity since you aren't giving anything up. But if you offer up your firstborn son, then there's more personal value in the sacrifice because you are willingly offering up something precious to you as a show of faith. This is why Erebus and Kor Phaeron are still so far behind Lorgar in terms of power; they're evil bastards that don't have anything they really value themselves. And their fealty to the Chaos Gods is hollow because they're doing it fi personal power and ambition rather than true devotion.
I didn't mind the Wolves interruption of the Lion and Guilliman meeting, it wasn't an abrupt interrution. Guilliman knew they would do it and after the exchange of hellos and hugs with the Lion he said there was "a matter of protocol". Lion said he will be his own champion and called the Space Wolves cowards for not accepting it at first and told the wolf to not pull his punch. Lion obviously caught the strike, Guilliman doubted he could have done the same, and gave good punch to the wolf that forced him on his knees.
Speaking of the fight between the Lion and Russ, I hold onto the headcanon that the Lion was holding back and actually having fun against a Primarch as much a beast as he was deep down. But then Russ laughed and broke the mask, in rage and disappointment the Lion punched Russ out, because he felt that Russ was deceiving him and playing him for a fool.
If you want to check out a good Space Wolf novel for 30K, read "A Thousand Sons" (about Magnus and his legion), then read "Prospero Burns" (which is about the Space Wolves). Its a tragic story and actually great.
The way they absolutely butchered what could have been an AMAZING redemption arc for Fulgrim made me SO MAD! Up to that point Fulgrim was one of my favorite Primarchs. A pompus prick that acted this way bc he felt he needed to prove himself an equal to his brothers despite inheriting a legion of 300 men. One of the most humane primarchs, that seemed to genuinely understand humanity and retain what made him and his sons human like Vulkan and Sanguinius. A man that has one of my favorite quotes in the entirety of Warhammer: "It is your duty to raise them up, as high as they will go. Anything less is not worthy of you". Fulgrim was such a tragic character that was forced to commit soul rending atrocities by a malignant force of evil that sought to corrupt him and his sons! And instead of making him the tragic fallen hero that has to break the shackles of the Daemon and save the soul of his sons and himself, they did a complete 180 and turned him into a lame mustache twirling villain that does absolutely horrifying things he himself should be appalled by if he was written consistent with his previous character, and yet he actively enjoys that shit... I was FUMING when I read that part! I threw the book across the room and haven't picked it up for WEEKS after bc I was so fucking mad at GW's writing. At a snap of the fingers they ruined one of my favorite characters in the franchise and it remained that way to date...
Fulgims "perfect" clone made by Bile and possession by the Laer daemon opened up one of the few "plausible" redemptions of a traitor primarch in the 40k setting, dumping that possibility was a mistake.
My theory is that the Fulgrim possasion plot line hasnt been depicted to have ended yet. And we dont know how much the demon possesion effected fulgrim and how the deamon was forced out of him. And what happened to the demon that possed him?
You failed at arguing that running away from his beliefs is a part of Lorgar's character. Your example shows Lorgar standing up for what he believes in, even if it means he'll die, and he didn't run away from Corax on Istvaan. That's the exact opposite of your claim. I do also 100% agree with WesHammer on Horus' turn to evil. With the strength of will the Primarchs are supposed to possess, him turning like that instead of ruminating on what he'd seen for a while, it felt like you'd just flipped a switch to make him evil.
I feel like Fulgrim exercising the demon offscreen and still being evil could be salvaged if he only thought he got rid of the demon, when in reality, it ended with their souls being intertwined, the demon's soul corrupting Fulgrim's own soul and therefore, his mind as well.
Honestly the most disturbing moment in fulgrim was the theatre performance after he was possessed lol Oh and probably that private quarters scene where that woman was making a work of art out of....yeahhhh lets not.
The space wolves in 30k, the grey knights and how they can beat any fucking demon Primarch like what, how the Eldar lore/ avatar of Khaine is treated. The lack of white scars books in 40k. The female custodies
One of the tragedies if Warhammer is that Lorgar is not the faithful-unto-death religious zealot that he should have been. They made him a weak coward. I get making him weak, let that be. Let him be the least physically imposing primarch. But let his words and his dedication be his strength. But GW neuters him by making him weak of will in addition to being a weak primarch. The idea of Lorgar is great, but his execution is a mess.
Russ technically did nothing wrong. What’s he supposed to be punished for when he burned Prospero? Following the Emperor’s orders? Horus told Russ that it’s what the Emperor wanted. What’s he supposed to do, not believe Horus? Everyone still thought Horus was loyal at that time, even the Emperor. And it’s not like his instructions were without president. (2nd and 11th legions). “Dad wants you to kill another of our brothers.”
Yea, the Lorgar stuff is totally in character, even in the First Heretic, he's pathetic. He acts all high and mighty towards Malcador and Guilliman until the Emperor shows up to put him in check and disprove Lorgars total BS. The Space Wolves, I think can be quite good in 30K, i certainly prefer their aesthetics, also I think Leman has some excellent character developement over the Heresy, Dorn calls him a hypocrate in Wolfsbane and Leman's like "....yea i guess so..." and I do think he actually regretted what he did to Magnus, hell, he didnt want to in the first place, he does offer Magnus a chance to surrender DESPITE believing his orders to the contrary. Also i think it would be stupid to assume that Leman would be due some kind of penalty for his mistake, for one, he was genuinly decieved, and two, the mistake had already cost a Legion and Primarch, so a Primarch and a Legion was an extremely valuable resource and thats also the main reason that, despite their issues, Dorn didnt want Leman to leave because Dorn needed as many forces as he could get to defend Terra. (just like he tried with Corax) Also reguarding the Psyker thing, I have heard explanations that seem to make sense of it, that they do genuinly draw their powers from a different place, but not that it isnt warp powers, but that their mindset and the way they practice it, is done in a very different way, their more shamanistic and in a way, its also safer. The Thousand Sons, also, were blatantly going too far, they had familiars, were too reckless with their research, and I think even Khan, or one of the other defenders of the Librarius, entirely agreed that Magnus needed to chill and that the Thousand Sons were going too far, Not to mention the fact that they were blatantly corrupted, Tzeench already had his teeth in Magnus and his sons. As for Fulgrim, yea, Reflection Crack'd is easily the worst short story ever written. Although, with the Horus thing, I do think he goes from 1-100 VERY fast, he gets stabbed at the end of Horus Rising and then in False Gods, he and his traitorous circle has basically already formed and distanced themselves from Loken and Torgaddon, and Horus is straight up planning to overthrow the Emperor and is seeing if Chaos will help him. Horus Rising was excellent, but in false gods, he's skipped then need to really be convinced and is planning the Heresy and is committing the Heresy in book 3 and pealing Erebus's face off, chronologically for his story, like, 2 or 3 books later. Fulgrims Fall was the Gold Standard, Horus was pretty good but did get rushed after Horus Rising, and the fact that he event gave Erebus the Time of Day was also a bit of a fuckin stretch, then i'd say is Magnus's Fall, but it has its issues as well. The rest are awful. I completely agree with Wes's ideal of the Heresy taking time to see all the Primarchs at their best and gradually see them all fall for complex and nuanced decisions, but no, after Fulgrim and Magnus, its just "daddy issues" all the way, hell, Horus's turn is basically insecurities fostered by Chaos Corruption, which eventually turns into Daddy Issues. Lorgar, Angron, Pert, Mort, all their turns are shit and are barely even turns, their just terrible fuckin failiurs that fuck themselves over for the most part. Kurze is alright though his Primarch book kinda switched the idea of him having a split personality from trying to justify his terrible deeds but then his Primarch books is just like "nah, he just likes being an evil fuck" like "ooooo grimdarck", no, thats not fuckin grimdark, its just way less nuanced, edgy shit, gimme some fuckin Nuance with my Primarchs please Black Library! I honeslty wish the Horus Heresy could just be rewritten because theirs some good books, a handful of meh books and the rest just kinda suck. Theirs cool moments in like...basically the entire series, even Reflection Crack'd had a really great scene where supposedly possessed Fulgrim acted like a total drama queen and killed Eidolon for the most pissy fuckin reason. But so many of the HH novels are just shit overall.
Can you react to creepypasta lazari story last time i checked it's only 1 hour long at most and by the end can you tell us if they were in warhammer 40k or warhammer fantasy how strong would they be in compered to other things around just look up scp foundation vs creepypasta death battle and power level or just power levels because in my personal opinion is that the poison in her bites can quite possibly kill 682 if he can't heal quickly enough 👌 ❓ 😋 💡 😎
For me it's dealing with everyone constantly hating on Ultramarines. It's always the same thing. Oh they're Mary Sue's that are good at everything. Matt Ward sucks. We all get it. That or complaining that they're the poster boys. So if say the Blood Angels were the predominant ones, or even a completely different faction like let's say the Eldar, would you hate them for it too? It's just so exhausting.
At this point it's just a meme, and everyone knows it and they're playing along with it because it's a meme. The Ultramarines have been toned down, the Grey Knights have been toned down, Matt Ward's works have been gradually retconned. None of them are nearly as bad as they used to be, and the vitriol towards them has been declining as well.
You're about the only person that believes this. Everyone else disagrees, especially other lore-hammer RU-vidrs like Baldermort and Majorkill who had a little gameshow with the three of them. Do you really think a burgeoning channel trying new things is a plague when we have RU-vidrs like One Mind Syndicate?
Sure he built his viewer base on another platform before coming to RU-vid yet that isn't a bad thing, but some may see him as an outsider, he does add something different to the RU-vid Warhammer 40k community with even a handful of copycats now trying to do the same. Plus he legit knows his lore, he doesn't just cobble together gross inaccuracies for views.
@@starhammer5247 I was a fan of OMS before they got into 40k, back in their Heroclix days. It's sad how they shifted focus because of how easy it is to get views with lazy 40k content.
Why trip about retcons just do what i do if its terrible changes it's just fan fiction and i dont care if gw is the one who said it doesn't make it lore
