What was your OTD total? I've been searching for all year the highest was $43k lowest about $37K

@@GreyFox405 roughly $38,500 including taxes and fees in SoCal. Talked them down from $43,500. I had the opportunity to buy an A-spec manual Integra for about $2k more, but I'm chasing lightness. Coming from a fast pig of a BMW, you start to realize what's important.

I'd have to agree with you, the HPD kit is the way to go. I see tons of people doing the yofer kit, which looks good in pictures, but honestly looks like a cheap show car style, and I don't think it'll age super well. My one complaint with the HPD is the matte black next to the gloss black, but that's kind of already present with the gloss/matte black mirrors, and matte black trim and dark tinted windows. Still though, not the most pleasing to the eye, but the HPD is a subtle touch of aggression that doesn't overdo itself, and makes no sacrifices to functionality and vehichle value.

@@lui.racing Yeah, that would have been preferred. One option is to wrap the HPD kit with a matte black though! Honestly, that would be super killer. It would tie in nicely, but also allow you to stand out in yet another subtle way. Subtlety is an 11th gen personality trait.

U think your going to upgrade to the type r, I’m having a dilemma on either keeping the 22 si and building a similar build as yours or just upgrading to the r soon. Kinda stuck bc I wanna mod my car so bad

@@lui.racing LOL good luck. the l15 is literally designed to shake itself apart over 4-5k RPM and any power mods. Heck, most of these engines don't make it past the warranty period, and anyone adding power quickly realizes its cheaper to throw a k20/k24 with a z head in there than bother replacing everything inside the l15.

Only thing keeping me from buying is 1. Dealer markups 2. Bhp has been 200 for the past several gens 3. Last gen 1.5t is making more than most Si’s with a few mods which is a little embarrassing

@@lui.racing not the si model, the 1.5 turbo sport hatch, its making si numbers with just a few mods slapped in and a tune, for the markup of the si its just a better deal to get previous gen sport 1.5t

@Kevin Guerra ; it actually has 222 Bhp. Honda lied to help out its customers on lower insurance cost. Been confirmed on multiple dynos.

You are actually wrong about the engine, and not because of the power or its ability, but rather it is worse than the old K series engines honda relied on for budget cars. As a matter of fact, long term the base 2.0 K20 is more reliable and can handle more power than the L15. Look at any tear down of the L15 and you will notice its a piece of shit. Anything over 7000 RPM it will literally shake itself apart due to a horribly balanced crank, weak con rods and con bolts as well as some of the weakest pistons on the market, we don't even have to get into the "eco friendly" valve train that gives it horrible rev hang. Its just not a good engine. Does it do the job in commuter cars that don't rev out past 3-4k? Sure, but even then, there are too many long term failure points such as the piston rings allowing too much blow by of carbon and fuel into the oil, weak oiling of cylinder 4, and the cheapest headgasket ever made. This engine was never meant to make power, it was supposed to be cheap to make, and expensive to fix for consumers to MILK YOU OF ALL YOUR $$. That is all I have to say, but I wish honda fan boys actually knew what they are talking about. The honda name doesn't mean what it used to. Back in the day, and even now if you are okay with older engines, you can find, build, and run k20/k24 engines for a very long time at high RPM and if boosted, at high boost, without a single issue, won't even have to mention the J35's which are literally tank engines. I straight up refuse to buy a car with the L15, even if they did try to reinforce it, there is not enough room in an engine that size. Engine strength and reliability is directly proportional to the mass of the metal inside it. (won't even talk about that the l15 block and cyl walls are literally aluminum foil.)
