Imo best way to describe how new people need to play defender is: You're useless if you don't have a team behind you to follow up and you're less valuable if your team is in front of you taking the hits.
@@hinarami4302 mean look and wish is a good combination if anyone else is there to fight with you. Recently i decided that if they don't join me, it's me who has to go there.
They even do that for the official card game and mainline game tournaments, splitting the competitors into three groups: Juniors (Kids), Seniors (Teens), Masters (Adults). And the game even asks for your birthdate upon start-up, so they could EASILY do that.
I think one big mistake people make at Ray is holding their unite move. I think they’re waiting for that perfect penta kill ult, that moment never comes, they die without using ult. Its fine to have a less than perfect ult at Ray. Just throw it out there when you see a semi decent chance, its better to get half of the possible value from an ult than it is to get no value because you never used it.
What I have yet to see if a good video on what Pokémon play well with other Pokémon Comps. THAT would be an absolute crucial video for people to watch because they never pick Pokémon that complement well with the team which is pretty important quite often. Especially when it comes to matchups.
Hi Spragels! I think your new beginner guide videos are great and a very good resource for new players. It would be nice if you made a video about good resource management (coins, tickets, energy and enhancers), I struggled with this when I was starting Hope you have a nice day
Your tutorials are amazing Spragels, helped me out a lot when I started the game at launch, I honestly think watching tutorial videos like yours is the best way to get better at unite instead of trying to pay your way to victory.
A team comp guide to show good/bad team compositions and how best to fill in would be awesome to accompany these beginner guide videos. Although it may be very situational it could be helpful.
Greninja is actually really good as a ranged attacker, water shuriken has a ton of damage and it’s sorta surprising how many people have fallen for double team.
i think a big part about why it works so often is bc of pokemon unites horrible automatic targeting. it might be intentional for this specific move to be more functional, but oh my god. the amount of times ill aim for the real greninja and it just yoinks my manual aiming to 180 and solar beam the clone directly behind me is Mind Numbing lol
What's hilarious is almost nobody who watches these videos needs these tips, and the people that do need these tips would never watch these kinds of videos.
Go to every objective and Level up by making sure your jungle is basically always cleared. That's the 2 things I wish every player would know, whenever I'm in a match and I see someone that clearly just wants to score points is when I know I'm playing with a terrible player. I do blame that the game doesn't teach this well at all.
For number 3 I feel like Pokémon like sableye are an exception considering his main job is to score and he could go score a huge ton of points behind the enemy fights because they are distracted by the objective
3:10 The ideal situation is that you are at least level 5 (1st evo) at the 8-minute mark and level 9 at the 6-minute mark. Level 9 by 5 minutes is acceptable if the team is in bad shape, but definitely agree that you have to do an Arteezy to get to those levels. Ideal level at the 2-minute mark is 13 and higher, but you want to be close to 12 by then. 5:50 Do remember that points double after the 2-minute mark. In the example given, you should score the 10 if it is not at that point yet. 10:55 As much as possible, try to break said shields away from your goal. The jump pads are not going to stun if they have shields up. Defensive advantage of being over your goal is also somewhat negated when the opponent has shields of their own.
Even for existing players this is valuable. Ive been mainly playing defenders recently and the amount of times you see these lone attackers running in and getting ko'd without the rest of the team
Is backcapping the norm nowadays? Ive had 3 games where backcappers told me, a mamoswine, a defender main, Im "stupid" for not helping them backcap. Holding off the enemy team as much as possible but seeing the game lose since Im the only one showing up for the match, and every player backcap while everyone scores and then go back to ray. Oh Ive been gone a while!
Really love this! Thanks so much spragels! Every single thing mentioned in the video is helpful! (only hopefully, players do be willing to spend 12 minutes watching this...)
I play stacking items, I warn my teammates that I need to score previously to the game. Yeah, so few times my teammates understand this. I even let some energy for others, but many times they steal them from me. Currently I'm playing Umbreon support, because healing and securing enemies to MewTwo is too overpowered. The downside is that you need an intelligent random to play with you.
Another video idea: paying attention to who is stacking by looking at items everyone has. What items to look for and be aware and try to help your stackers when you can. Being aware they need farm to stack. Etc.
@@Warlord_MegatronNo not really thats just skill issue at that point and using exp share in solo q just makes you worse betting that your teammates are doing to do something, and they usually do not..
Spragels could you make a guide on how to not throw when you're winning cuz a lot of my teammates just don't understand that you don't rip ray for the enemies to steal it when you're winning
People get cocky and greedy when they're winning... They just want it all in that moment that they can't comprehend someone stealing it from them and then losing.
just dont play solo just try to grt ppl for the discord to join you so you could be able to strategically win the match but if your teamates sre actually bots (most of the time) you cent do that
Unite should just put a RU-vid link to this video in the tutorial, because this actually learns people how this game works and how to play with your team, unlike most of my SoloQ teammates.
This is why Spragels is a GOAT in this community. There are a lot of helpful and entertaining videos on the channel, and his casting is top tier. GOD-TIER, dare I say?
The first Pokemon you should take as your starter should be Eldegoss. As it's one of the most consistently good Pokemon in the game and you don't need too much mechanical skill in order to play them. But you should understand how to use Elde and not throw your Pollen Puff when your Slowbro is at 10% HP. I beg you.
I just started about a week and half ago and I love eldegoss. I've been playing just eldegoss and Scyther (still haven't played as Scizor yet) through ranked and I've hit veteran. Noone expects the little puff ball to be so useful!
@@lamich_helada It's 100% not a beginner's Pokemon, but it's a free supporter. Leaf Tornado's movement speed increase and Cotton Guard's free shield and healing are good enough for beginners. As they start to get better, they can swap to Pollen Puff or even Cotton Spore. You get Slowbro as a free defender and Venusaur as a free attacker. You have the 3 roles that you'd need to fill in every game (damage, tank and support) all for free so you have a Pokemon for every situation. Although, if I had a choice, I'd swap out Elde for Blissey, Clefable, Comfey or even Umbreon (despite being a tank) since they're much easier to play.
@@sladevalen2120 Congratz. It's those small victories than end up paying off in the long term. Now that you've hit Vet, you can keep practicing until you're good enough to hit Ultra. I believe you can do it.
Video summary: 1. Expand your pokemon rooster (preferably each from different roles) [if your team already has 2 or more attackers, please for the love of god pick pokemon from the other roles] 2. focus on evolving your pokemon if it's close to it's evolution levels by maybe grind some levels when enemy is also playing it safe. 3. Scoring is important, but look at your team situations (Map awareness). 4. Showing up to get the Objectives (Regieleki, Bottom Regis, Rayquaza) or Try to contest them against the enemy teams 5. Prioritize Rayquaza at the late game, try to get it or zone enemies away from it, Make sure you safe your unite move for this moment
Here take 🍿 is going to take a while seriously just play and think at least is not zacian because seriously this is nothing compared to that and mr.mike.
When I play support I always spam "avoid fighting before level up" because they keep dying to the enemies 3 levels underlevelled and don't stop trying to fight them, I'm just confused what's the problem with farming xp, they just keep feeding the enemy even under levelled
Back in the Zap days, Dreadnaw was the most important lane objective. You'd defend your goal and try to break the opponent's to give you an advantage for it. Now that we have Theia Sky Ruins, which of the 2, the regi trio or regieleki, is the most important to gun for?
5 things to make you win EVERD SINGLE MATCH: 1. Use Mewtwo Y 2. Have blissey 3. Have X attack 4. Use the top player's recommended held items 5. Hold down the A button as good as possible
The only time I don't do team fights is when my team is lower level and keeps losing every team fight so people get pissed when I stop to farm to catch up I don't bother with pointless team fights
Can we get a video about how to determine and respect if teammates are duoing or trioing together... I am sick and tired of solo q players taking the same lane as my duo partner despite the fact that we called it first
tbh I rather want to know stuff like if you have a stacker in your team not to take all his stacks, I probably have been taking my stackers farm thinking am doing good lol
Played a game earlier as glaceon where the enemies cinderace never hit level 5. They surrendered at 1 minute left still with a level 4 on there team it was so funny
Based on pings and jerks on mics, I'd say the biggest issue with solo queue is people having a bad attitude early in the game. If youre mad at teammates in the first 2 minutes, you gotta chill. This game has absurd comeback mechanics if you just keep your cool all the way through.
idk spagels today i played scoring wiggly, we lost ray but i scored so much as a roll out wiggly that they still lose. I think really depends on teammates and team comp
It's okay to feel confused by new characters when you return to something. Do the same thing when you first picked up the game, trial by fire. Just jump in, you'll feel lost at first but eventually some things will start to click. Then when you start looking out for those things, you learn some more new stuff. If you keep that up, you'll be as comfortable as you was when you stopped playing.
Is not hate is just your usually lane greninja just being nuisance until lvl 7 and they really take their sweet time, and also you can get just pulled by mewtwo and insta die since well water shurikens just makes you vulnerable if they jump you.
Great guide! I think subscribing to your channel is actually a good tip though. Because if you're not looking for information on how to improve in Unite you probably won't improve much.
I know they have the fair play points system where players can get locked out of ranked matches but I also think they should add a mandatory guide the players have to go through to get back into ranked. Kind of like remediation training.
That's a terrible idea. Some people get disconnected. Or their switch dies. The only way you lose fair to play points is idling what's the training gonna be move around for 10 mins without stopping lmfao. Not being able to play matches is punishment enough not to mention no rewards from that match and you lose even more points
@@aitorchul2262 they can go play standard, learn the characters first or even understand a team comp... So sick that when i q up the trio picks 3 attackers...
@@aitorchul2262no other MOBA allows trio in ranked. Solo/duo only. They can trio in standard or what every other MOBA calls flex queue. If they removed trio the game would be so much better. Having 3 bad players being the majority of the team sucks.
I just hate how i need to watch this kind of thinks instead of chilling wiith my own caus i dont want my teamates to lose bcz they have trash teammate like me Like i like crustle but its trash , using it would be not nice in ranked or standar either There are a no game mode where i can just CHILL
You should see the newest crisheroes crustle video, you would be surprise that crustle can do pretty well just see what he does as an example and try it out. As a non crustle user don't ever give up unless is char they killed my boy he can't even kill comfey with his unite tf
