I never owned a Kia until my 2023 Sportage SX Prestige hybrid (in that same blue color). I love it so far. Great vehicle. Even though I don’t have the infrastructure (I live in an apartment complex), I don’t need anything this large, and I can’t afford it, I now want this thing. 😂😂😂
Beautiful blue color. Fantastic dash infomat screen(s) all in one. Sounds like this EV9 is going to be a big hit when it goes on sale hopefully fairly soon. I hope they can alter the driver's seat so it will fit smaller folks. I can see why you did not like it at all. Thank you for the nice review!
KIA is really putting pressures on GM, FORD, etc with the fast innovative new EV releases. Full EV and even the plug-in hybrids. Plus, the designs are good looking tooooo!! Nice job KIA!!
cool vehicle overall, i really enjoy the outside desing its really sharp, hate the usual integration of everything into the screen tho.... also hope theres a ice variant for the rest of the world 10/10 would look for one
I bought a 2020 Telluride day one of their release. I will now buy this day 1 I think. I've been wanting an EV for years but didn't want a Tesla and all others seemed to be WAY too pricey. I think this is a great mix of Telluride and EV and It should hopefully only be 50-60k.
The editing especially transition cuts needs better work. After all the good work from the team, the edit to leave the shot at her face for couple seconds before transition is weird.
The review mentioned full hands-free driving with steering that was better than super cruise, etc. Did all that make it into the production model in the US? I know that the US version ended up lacking Lidar even in the top model, so wondering if all that "cool" functionality is still a feature?
@@erikholum4772 I'm assuming there will be an option for a 2nd row bench seat instead of captain's chairs. Yes, I'd only expect to fit 2 kids in the 3rd row even if they squeeze 3 sets of seat belts in there.

If You buy a hybrid You always buy the worst of both worlds too. The battery is small, so the EV-range is rarely more than 50 miles. The combined power of the engine is usually smaller than in a pure EV. The hybrid needs a real gearbox, the EV not. If the car has RWD or AWD You need a cardan shaft for the hybrid. Usually You can charge way faster in en EV compared to a hybrid. You will tend to use the battery more between 5 and 100% instead of 20 to 80% in an EV, so it will age and degrade faster. If the ICE kicks in, You have vibrations again and the worst part, You will stil have an ICE in the car that needs oil change and all that stuff. You should choose either EV or ICE. The single fear behind the decision to choose an hybrid is the range. Trust me, if You drive an EV on a daily basis, it does not take long to get rid of that.
Nice to meet you. I live in Korea. Kia Motor Company's latest infotainment system is called ccNC (connected car navigation cockpit). Vehicles equipped with this system in Korea were initially unable to support wireless Android Auto & CarPlay, but the manufacturer has now updated the feature through OTA. It works. As the EV9 is also a flagship electric vehicle, it is naturally equipped with the ccNC system, so I think it will become a feature as soon as it is released. I hope my answer helps. Its the same type of front end as the Telluride and everyone seems to be just fine not running over children. We sat in one in Sept at a dealership that had one for people to look at and we are Telluride owners so we were able to compare it easily.
Current 2023SXP owner. My next vehicle will be this one! But... Honestly... A new car review and the first thing you bring up that you like are some lights that great you when you walk up to the car?? Puleaze... That's no way to review a car.
