Thanks for another great ioniq 6 video. I felt that all the trunk footage was because of my comments/questions in the other video lol. Thanks for that. I think you now have the most comprehensive ioniq 6 videos on RU-vid so congratulations for the great reviews.

I was looking to buy an EV & was torn between the Ioniq 5 & the EV6, but I wasn't in love with either. Then I stumbled across videos for the Ioniq 6 & it was love at 1st site!! TYVM for all your videos, I've watched them all. I'm torn between the 2 colors of red & the biophillic blue pearl. I saw another video that showed that color under the lights & how that color changed from blue to purple (I love purple!) & the uniqueness of it intrigued me. I want the black leather interior & sunroof - I hope they make those options available when they sell them in the USA. 🤞
Biophilic Blue Pearl is an absolute beauty for the reason you stated, but that Ultimate Red Metallic is truly something, too! I tried capturing it few days ago, I should've but missed it out by few minutes 🥲 Will soon come up with a vid on it again!
My five points about your review. 1. You are such a super car geek. 2. You love white on a car... you pass your Asian license. Even though you sound Canadian. ;) 3. Translucent vs Transparent. Most English people wouldn't know the difference. 4. Only you would report the number of pixels on the car. 5. Your super car geekiness is infectious.
Man Hyundai / Kia is really doing it these days. This car is absolutely stunning I just hope it's affordable unlike most electric cars and most of all I hope the dealers can actually get them in stock without adding very large markups. What I have experienced in my area is extremely high markups on these cars which actually makes your monthly payments higher and disqualifies some people from being able to finance them from the bank.
Thank you for this. Hyundai and Kia blowing other manufacturers out of the water with their technical brilliance and creative flair. Kudos to Tesla for advancing EV cars so brilliantly but I am so glad to see the likes of Kia/Hyundai bringing to market stunning-looking cars that are value for money. Volkswagen, Mercedes, BMW etc are so ‘meh’ - dull looking and expensive to boot. Absolutely brilliant that you can get paint jobs that are not due dull Black/Silver/Blue/White/Red!!!!! So glad to see a manufacturer that steps away from the herd of manufacturers and is BOLD with their choices. Love Love the Green Pearl colorway in the 6. Bravo Hyundai. Will be getting a 6 I think - I put my money on companies that don’t go with the herd and are willing to produce what we actually want. For the individual - not the herd.
Agreed! 💯 Hope you also check this video out, Hyundai is serious about the performance as well 🚀 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HU8feLSNt6c.html
WOW!!! 4 dots changing RGB colors!!! A 7 cent add on from the PC builder just around the corner. Unreal!! Korean innovation at its peak!!! Hard to fathom!!! How do they do it??? 🤣😂
@@CarSceneKorea OH, I'm sure it was worth the 426 million USD this massive leap in technological evolution cost. And just think how this game-changer will enrich and transform the lives of millions! 😂🤣🤣
The badge can't be stolen either by badge collectors as it's integrated into the front hood as part of it. The classic Ioniq is the same as the Model 3 and more efficient than the Model 3 as proven by Bjorn in Norway multiple times. Look forward to range tests of the Ioniq 6 with that drag coefficient as well to see how close they get to WLTP.
First off, this is an amazing car. Comfortable, spacious, efficient, looks super cool. On the other hand, these colors are weak. You got a blue that's actually grey, a green that's actually black, and in the top trim - a gold that's actually also grey. One other thing is that in the US at least, RWD still gets the tiny frunk. Not the end of the world but still annoying!
I like how they integrated the buttons into the Hyundai logo on the key fob. When you were doing the voice controls - showing the 4 lights reacting - was there also a light bar going across the dash, or was that a trick of the lighting/camera angles? I do believe the Fisker Ocean is claiming a CD of 0.19 - YIKES! When you showed the semi-transparent "shark fin" , I noticed there was a satellite receiver in there. I had Sirius radio from a kit (not built in) and the receiver block looked exactly like that. Is there an equivalent to Sirius in Korea? Satellite based radio streaming. When you opened the back trunk, is the power lift/closing on all models, or just the top one? Seems a tad frivolous for such a small trunk.
Keen eyes and points you've made here. I'll try answering to the best I can. The light bar actually reacts as well, it's not the camera trick. The powered tailgate is for top ones. There are models without power lift. I'm not knowledgeable about radio, so can't answer Sirius part 😢
I think that the coefficient of drag is calculated with them little mirror cameras vs the other cars which have regular mirrors. Not a fair comparison, isn't it?
I had the exact same question, I was sure I replied but then I saw this, haha. When I just thought I've covered everything! I'll check about the trunk next time.
...these cars go through a vigorous test.....yet not even one person spotted how easily the steering wheel obscures your sight of the........................digital speed read out on the dash-screens.
@carscenekorea One of the few awkward things on the IONIQ5 is the distance of the display from the steering wheel which results in the wheel cutting off important information on the display. I figured they did this to avoid positioning the displays further forward and needing to put a cowl over them to prevent the sun from washing them out. Seeing the prominent cowling here, does it feel to you like the displays are further ahead of the wheel and the speed/range appear easier to read now?
Such thing didn't strike me as a problem. I could always adjust the seat and steering wheel to find that sweet spot. Driving IONIQ 5 for a few thousand kilometers, I couldn't really complain much about it. Think it'd be the same for IONIQ 6 as well.
Software + map on IONIQ 6 is the typical Hyundai's. There is no test driver on IONIQ 6 yet, so not so much to compare at the moment other than the exterior and interior which I've gone over in detail over many videos.
The speakers are either woofers or twitters that need to be exposed to serve the purpose(not the speaker expert here obviously), and this is much bigger than Elantra, that I can assure you.
@CarSceneKorea I am from the United States. Do you know anyway I could purchase that charger? If you would purchase it and mail it to me, we could arrange something.
Thanks I have a deposit put down at my local dealer. I cannot wait to sign for the order officially. The black, white, silver and red really stand out, I think I would go with that red. What do you suggest Dual or single RWD motor?
If you ever are thinking about AWD, it's way to go. Completely a different car when it comes to EV having single motor vs. dual. BUT single motor is quite powerful too. But I'd always go with dual.
@@JoshAstronomer Afaik it has Eco-Mode, then the front motor is shut off, also its AWD only in Sport-mode i guess. So, AWD in Winter and RWD in good weather. Keeps the efficency given ;)
@@JoshAstronomer As you know, tires have whole lot more to do in snow than 2WD or AWD, but AWD would certainly have better chances in snow with more controls to each wheel.
I mean it wont completely block rain/water getting into the trunk when opened outside, but Hyundai would've gone through a lot of tests for such. Fingers crossed 🤞
Hi, is there someone that already makes high-quality diecast models with perfect interior? I would need my EV6 AWD in snow white pearl in a showbox and in format 1:43 for Kia-Partners. But also Hyundai Ioniq 5 and 6 as well as Genesis GV60 and even Tesla‘s S3XY, Nio and other outstanding EV models would be fine!
The room inside the car will live up to anyone's expectation if not exceed given that this is a sedan. The legroom on the second row, everyone was amazed by it I haven't seen a single person complaining about it. The fact that the back support only clicks at 1 level might be a bummer though, as some compact SUVs provide 2-level-inclination. The headroom also is quite well secured as Hyundai bumped up the headroom area unlike fast-dropping coupe-sedans i.e., Mercedes CLS, Audi A7 and such. It's a sedan after all, but it really is roomy that have utilized everything that E-GMP had to offer.
@@CarSceneKorea Really appreciate all this info. It does help me some more. Another thing Id like to ask is if your able to compare based on memory with a car like the EV6. If the interior spacing felt better in the EV6 or about the same
IONIQ 6 has the wheelbase of 2,995mm; which is the same as EV6 and 5mm shorter than IONIQ 5, which currently is the longest EV wheelbase in Hyundai Motor Group. Being said, IONIQ 6 truly has a massive wheelbase that is bound to be attributed to the cabin space. The second row "legroom", I almost want to say that it was as spacious as it was on EV6 may be even for the headroom. Of course, IONIQ 6 would feel a bit more stuffed than EV6 due to the nature being a sedan, but EV6 being coupe-feel SUV, IONIQ 6 interior feels quite like the EV6 in many ways. Don't get me wrong, EV6 is larger than I6 for sure, but how I'd describe it is that EV6 feels smaller than it actually is, and I6 feels larger than it actually is hence the two feel quite similar. Now I'm not sure what I'm saying haha.
1:53 "...helps with the CoD..." I disagree. Why? Because there's a giant hood right above it. Look how thick the gap is. That gap is far more detrimental to the CoD than a tiny emblem that's barely raised above the surface.
Not quite when you actually see what it's capable of! Find out on my test drive vid :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-osMB_MooFJI.html
