Naruto was the 4th Hokage's son and jinchuuriki of Kurama, so he was important and people did look out for him albeit secretly like the Third Hokage. He made friends like Shikamaru, Choji and Kiba before Graduation. By the end of Naruto, he was friends with literally everyone he came in contact with. He met great teachers like Iruka, Kakashi and Jiraiya. By the end of pain arc although he lost Jiraiya, but he literally became the hero of Konoha, then he met with one of his lifelong friends and mentor Killer Bee. After the entire events of Shippuden he was able to redeem Sasuke. Also the fact that he was able to interact with his father and mother multiple times even after their death Now let's come to Kakashi. In his very early childhood he watched his father commit suicide in front of him. This traumatized him early on. Then he learns about how his father's death is connected to his team members being caught and he sets out to believe that teamwork isn't advantageous. This hampers his ability to socialize and make friends. Only coz Obito was such an introvert and Rin liked him and wanted to stay with him was that he was able to make friends. He also gained a mentor and father figure in Minato. Guess what happened next. Due to his own flawed notion about teamwork, he loses Obito and then has to wear the Sharingan as a mark of regret of not being able to save his friend. Rin gets captured and has to die Kakashi's own hand and his own jutsu, Raikiri. He then gets drafted into ANBU where with the teachings of people like Danzo, he goes more dark and unsocial. At a time where his friends were scrambling inside the village due to attacks, he was manning the front line of defence. At times when his friends were resting and enjoying after a non-lethal B-class mission, he was fighting jounins in an S-Class mission. He literally had to watch his mentor die/commit suicide in front of his eyes to save the village. He had to watch his mentee and only friend in the ANBU, Itachi murder the entire Uchiha clan and defect from Konoha with no reason at all. He had to watch his favorite pupil Sasuke defect from Konoha and join Orochimaru. And to think he lived away almost the entirety of his adult life without succumbing to darkness and continuously giving his mind and soul to Konoha. Yet he never found love or affection. He never found the warmth of becoming a father. Perhaps the only things good in his life were Might Lee and Team 7 Now you decide who had a more tragic backstory or who had the "saddest" life or who was or is and remains alone.

I say Naruto too. His life was shitty and wasn’t influenced by darkness. 🤔 What if Naruto ended up like Gaara before the destruction of Konoha?

@@AJ-vs2zn He was ashamed of what his father had done during a mission. He abandoned the mission in favor of saving his teammates. Eventually everyone got pissed at him and treated him like crap, including the teammates whom he saved. THAT is the reason he was ashamed of his father and therefore covered his face. That might've been the last straw for his father which led him to commit suicide. Which probably just brought more shame to kakashi at the time.
