Volks and Gram Lights are considered companies? I thought they were just different line ups all part of the Rays brand and all one company.

3 years after this video came out I just picked up my Rays Gram Lights and can already tell just how high the quality is. Superior build quality straight from Japan!

@@kevinpham8578 nice, I bought the works emotion zr10 's, tbh I'm not disappointed. 5x120, 9.5 j x 18's only weighs just over 8 kgs for a non forged wheel. Looks awesome 👌 take care bud 👍🏼

Great info It would be amazing to see the wheels made in person at the factory My 15" TE37 are made in 1997 with no repairs. Faded valve blue stems and caps. They are CTR/ ITR fitment and you can bet they have taken a beating over the years. All I do is take my wheels on back road runs, autox and lapping days. Speaks to durability.

Kev27RS I only got them last year so I dont really know what kind of life they had. They are rough with peeling stickers and a few curb marks so they have definitely been well used

Mine are very similar. 15” te37 civic fitment. I think they’re made in 1998 if I remembered correctly. It’s still in a pretty decent shape after 20+ years. Very nice quality wheels.

I have 14" Ce28n's that I've had on my car at least a decade. They are mini lightweight tanks, nothing is going to bend them or mess them up. And I lived in the northeast where you have no idea what's going to be a pothole come tomorrow morning and they don't give a crap. I bought a cheap set of lighter rims for my other car and bent them in a few months because I missed a pothole and that's all it took. They really are worth the extra money.

Rumours have it that Volk Racing was the name of was the first wheel made by Rays Eng. in the late 70's and it was also the world's first unwelded 3 piece mesh wheel too.

They don't just have Spec 2 testing. They have Spec 1 testing for all their cast wheels like the Gram Light series. I have a set of 57CRs that came with Spec 1 tags on each wheel. For being cast, the wheel is just high quality.

What’s your thoughts on redrilling bolt pattern on te37s? I saw a set pairly price but in 5x112 need them to be redrilled to 5x114.3? Would they still be good?

Just had my friend's TE37SL (18x9.5) delivered today in Europe..totalling 2600eur with taxes:p And this is the cheapest with air freight i could import. They are amazing both in finish and weigh just 8.2kg!!! My WORK D9R in same size are ~12.6kg!!

suggestion: You could leave links to each wheel/company you talk about in the description - like the machining process for example. Some people might've wanted to go look at that video and a link would be so convenient
