2:56 - The british had to greatly modify the sherman as the 17 pounder gun was huge The radio, normally mounted in the back of the turret in British tanks, had to be moved to an armoured box (a "bustle") attached to the back of the turret to house it The gun's breech was rotated 90° from its normal position so the loader could sit on the left hand side of the gun mount, rather than behind it. The recoil mechanism was made shorter but wider, and the gun cradle became shorter. Due to this wider size they had to add a new hatch as the first shermans only had 1 turret hatch The bow gunner (machine gun in the hull) was removed and they store extra ammo as it was much longer
