Speaking as an old fart, I worry about you young folks. Unfortunately, most people will not think of this until they're actually in an emergency situation. Glad you're doing this. I just hope people listen and prepare. Thank you.

Thank you and you’re right, most people will learn the hard way. That false sense of security of endless power and heat will get them one of these days. Mother Nature don’t play around.

It fills even better if you turn your 25 lb canister upside down while filling the 1 lb!

Good advice. The cheap generic hoses on Amazon will leach oil and clog up your heater unless you buy filters and replace them periodically. The manufacturer sells a hose that does not leach oil and does not require a filter: Mr. Heater part #F273704. Over time, it will be cheaper to buy the factory hose, versus replacing a lot of filters. More importantly, who knows if filters will be findable when you really need them.

Thank you. I Agree, when you really need them, those little things like a separate fuel filter wont be readily available. Just buy the right hose the first time.

@@MNMadeAdventures Exactly. I've seen people complaining about having to pay $30 apiece for filters. The filter-free hose is only about $30.

Safety tip! Do not store propane tanks in your house or garage until you need to use them. Explosion hazard! Someone in a condo complex I lived in was doing just that (against the condo rules too) and one night their garage door blew off. Thankfully the fire did not take their condo or mine.
