Been doing a bit of binge watching on this kit I like your tips and explainations. Hopefully my rifle turns out as well as yours did. This will be my first black powder gun.
Building a Traditions Frontier, very similar. Have the lock fitted (had to deepen the channel as it sat out too far). Started to dry fit the barrel, will need to sand out the stock a bit. Will also need to work on it going into the tang - not even close right now :(
@@JeffatLAX You really only need to knock off the casting marks on the tang. I used a file to knock off any sharp edges (a light stroke or two). Just avoid changing the actual geometry.
@@syntaxerrorsix3137 I did that, and got rid of the sharp edge on the apex of the hook - works! I think the secret was that I was supposed to have a great cigar going
