What I have figured out from using the daily 10 entry bonus that rift offers, if you space them out like 3 - 3 - 4 or 3 - 3 - 3 - 1, in number of sweep tries everyday for approximately a month, you basically get one 5 star unique hero a month. I left GT about a year ago and came back in August with 10 heroes left to 5 star, I'm down to 5 left.
1:18 i'd like to add to never buy the 900 metal box. it's not worth the metal for a random weapon. if you have a lot of metal left over go for the limitbreakhammer instead
@@HieuNguyen-qi4et metal is stockpiled and only used for buying the 300 box, 100 box and hammers. Don't extract or sell any weapon of any rarity until you complete it's collections
Im so disappointed to myself for quitting this game a year ago now i gotta replay this game again cuz it caught my interest and i needed this guide to start all over again thanks for this.
I hit 1 year exactly tomorrow on Jan 1st and have spent $300 the entire year doing exclusively paid singles. I've managed to get every Ex in the game except 5 which I also have more than enough mileage to get them from doing so, along with like 19 unique units as well. $300 might be considered whaling to some but to me it was very moderate as some gacha games require thousands just to completely max out a character and their unique weapon. If you don't mind spending some then the Jumpstart packs are absolutely worth their weight in gold for the small amount of money they cost to get a guaranteed unit and their ex starting out along with the monthly gems which is absurd value. The rest is just a matter of what you think it's worth but I don't recommend spending real money and doing 10x pulls as it's 270 gems per pull versus 100 daily. I have hit top 100 a few weeks but the consistency isn't there yet due to not focusing on hero collection bonuses (will be doing this next year heavily as item collections is pretty much done) but would like to give my personal experience with putting some money into the game and what it got me over the last year. Patience is going to be a big factor with this playstyle though but imo it paid off extremely well.

Though I would highly recommend you get at least one meta. If not world 10 would be really impossible... It's because by the timeline of that world there's a few things to take notes. 1) By story the guardian is supposed to have their exclusive weapons now (Unlock by the casino building) 2) All normal heroes are supposed to have all exclusive weapons in the stories too. However we all know that is extremely unlikely cause it's in the gacha... This means the world quest basically expect you to at minimum have "every normal heroes exclusive weapon" I can see it possible to clear without any meta units... If you have all exclusive weapons for the regular one that is... Even with that it's "hard mode" It will be very close battle... This is a VERY heavy content lock... Even if you do pass world 10... World 11 will be just as harsh. There's a common enemy that can one hit a single hero every certain time even if you maxed out... If you fail to kill him in time you kinda automatically lose. Like there's a good reason why they give you Future Princess for free... Even with her it is "hard" to play after world 10 for newbie. What sucks more is most events kinda focus on the latest world too. You will basically get locked out of that too.
Chase the meta based on what you are going to do in the game, otherwise you'll be stuck with characters you like but don't work in coloseum/coop/arena. Done this and I've been sitting in top 100 colo and diamond arena, while also clearing the highest difficulty in coop without spending a penny in the game. raising units is a pain in the ass in this game, so be sure to work on the right ones because reset stones aren't cheap and don't come around often! Of course you do you but you've been warned!
Yeah true also, thanks for this piece of information! But sometimes it is my guilty pleasure to chase heroes that I really like based on lore/characteristics and not based on their stats/skills. True though that it would be kinda a waste to keep summoning and raising heroes that wouldn't synergize.
@@stephen1394 not much content creators who do that really, but you can look up the leaderboards of pvp contents and view top players' most/often used units out there.

Not spending a penny is good and all but if the devs aren't getting any profits from this game they'll shut it down. Would be a real shame if it comes to that, the game has really good storytelling be it Main story or Sub quests and has a bunch of parodies and references from various anime, and other games. Like that Dragonball reference, Kakaka (Kakarot) vs Furiza (Frieza) Haven't seen another game like this where there's too much effort put into the stories.
for the thing no.1, I've played the games for 2 months and maximize at least 4 of my unique char with the help of the dream evolution stone. I regret doing this so much when I discovered it :")
I think its okay to spend occasionally to support devs. I for one buy the 1 month jewel pack twice a year. It's not really that much, you can call me a cheapass lol but I think it still helps the creators nonetheless.
Spend if you want to support the game, but anyone can contend against Master Ranks 100 as long as you've progressed enough. Also Top 100 though it depends on how strong your competition is, judging by the amount of whales your server has from my two years of experience too
Yeah true, that's why I put it as a bonus instead. Since it's not really necessary to spend but supporting the creators or getting bonus resources isn't a bad thing as well.
not chasing meta had me stuck in world 10, i made a new acc, then i pulled meta at that time (kamael, gabriel, fp, others) and yeah im now at world 14, all in all i guess it depends because there are also some rare heroes that can be used to easily pass world 10, 11, and 12 (akayuki is one of them).
Tbh this is what I don't like about world 10 too. It's extremely content lock if you do not have any strong hero or exclusive weapon at all. Normal hero is impossible to cleared u less you have all exclusive weapon which even implied in the story... By the story timeline everyone already have one even the guardian from the past too.
I personally recommend using hero crystals to buy evolution stones if your impatient and don't have evolution dungeon sweep available yet its by far the fastest way a new player can get a decently set up unique hero or 2 if needed its faster and just from personal experience I used hero crystals for evolution stones and it really didn't effect me that much considering that now I can hypothetically sweep evolution dungeons and get hero crystals for near nothing after maxing out 3 hero's and working towards a 3rd oh yeah also world 14 here im struggling more with getting enough awakening stones to where my fp hasnt even reached the limit break awakening nodes and everyone else did reach them and are maxed still fully limit broken
Yeah, because of the addition of boosts it's now easier to max a rare hero and farm hero crystals. Buying evo stones using hero crystals isn't that much of a problem, but farming hero crystals through extracting rare hero evo stones still give you a few of them. If you don't buy evo stones and just wait, most likely you would have the hero crystal reserve to start limit breaking. Just a suggestion but Thank you for the tip! also goodluck on world 14 : )
Objection sir, mystery evolution is necessary for collection since dungeon doesn't give good things everyday it is true that it's not recommended to use it on items that hasn't been recognized as "collected" in the book but for that, there is a sign on the items that has been recognised by the game as fully collected and those items can be used to mystery evolution to get others items rarer to upgrade your collection
Yeah mistake I made for the context, although it's explained short with the pinned comment. I forgot to state to only not do it when you still haven't collected the weapon for max evo or with incomplete collection. Thanks for the feedback!
I stopped playing Guardian Tales three years ago, and I forgot my old account password, so I'm playing on a fresh account. The last thing I remembered was getting Marina and the highschool event thingy back in the day so this is good to refresh my memory.
chasing Meta heroes and got them might have the best feeling you've ever felt. but don't even try when you have less than 20K gems. some lucky people might get them within 5x10pulls, but meta heroes are hard to get for a reason. always keep 10K gems in your pocket, then when you heard the next banner have meta hero you want save any gems until the last 3-4days of the event. it should increase your gems 5-8K. then start pulling. try again another time when you pulled 30 but no white box. good luck
Here's a cheap tip for a better start, Find out when a 50,100, summons event, or Collaboration is happening then start a new account. Why you ask? Because of the game's Guranteed starter system. Upon a player's THIRD 10x summons they are guaranteed to pull 1 Unique hero box (same for the weapon banner) Since Hero Banners tend to lead specifically towards obtaining that One hero over other Unique Heroes your chance of pulling them is drastically increased by about 75-85% (there's still that 15% rng so I can't help that) however this is a much higher chance than 3% of getting the perfect starter team for a fresh account, the other thing is that you are GIVEN some gems and controllers (aka free 1xpulls per controller, & YES they do stack!) This frees MOST of us with extra free pulls that can either be done immediately or by being smart and doing after the player has accumulated more gems from at least up to Worlds 2 or 3 which take a short amount of time to complete. It IS possible to save up to 35k up to 50k gems throughout season 1 IF the player saves all of their gems earned from the story mode. You may not realize this but many of the Rare Heroes CAN beat season 1 (apparently Tar0 beat the final S1 boss as the Common hero Bob aka God Bob. Season 2 will require at least 1 team of Unique's however to make life easier unless your chill with dark souls difficulty or your some kind of Giga-chad with combat mechanics then power too ya I soloed the entire game as one Unique and 3 rares because I'm awesome, and a cheapskate F2P). The OTHER benefit to those Free rolls is that IF it's a 50 or 100 summon event your following pulls Will be free. I recommend stopping pulling once it asks for your gems as you'll want to save those. IF your lucky you will have also generated a considerable amount of pity tickets called millage every 300 tickets will allow you to pick a weapon or hero of your choice! Since you will also need to pull on the corresponding weapon banner, At least save three 10 pulls for your guaranteed Ex weapon this unlike the hero banner however has a lower success rate, so please pull on the Hero banner FIRST! IF you don't get the weapon, you want don't fret! Simply treat the EX weapon you do get as a stat stick and hand it off to the Knight, whom can more or less use almost all weapons, aside from staves, or polearm weapons if you get those than hand them off to a rare hero whom can breaking them down is a massive waste. You get a Free Plitvice Unique Fire hero for 1million SP, so that's another free unique. See Now your getting somewhere! I recommend building at LEAST 1 or 2 Light heroes High Rarity doesn't matter (Just not common) as they tend to have the advantage in the story for the 1st Season making life much easier. The game does offer some cheap starter unique hero Pick ups. One for $10 another for $15 and a $24 I believe These are totally worth it as you can straight up choose the hero and their corresponding weapon to build your teams around. Really good starters are Gabrielle, Fp, Kamael, Claude, Noxia, & weirdly Rue (My big sister is a Rue Main, her Rue scares me) Also a piece of advice always save at least 2k gems for REVIVES. The Hardmode Slime Boss and Worlds 9,10,11, &12(S2) are pain and suffering on multiple levels, some times so having Extra lives makes life more forgiving.FOR NOW don't invest too heavily on Normal Knight Unlock their skills and passives but don't go all in. Other Uniques can do the same but better until Knights is given an Ascension path aka Evolution. Save your gems partcipate in everything, join an active guild, Have fun! there ya go,
definitely dont recommend wasting gems on revives, if u cant beat the level normally, it just means ur team is not good enough ( or a skill issue lol) they would benefit more spending those gems on coffee to focus on their main units to progress ( evolution dungeons, etc.)

But accidents do happen during boss fights and a few Challenge mode enemies CAN one shot your hero so having a back-up plan is never a waste, if you consider it that way it's called being pre-paired for the unexpected because sometimes the unexpected has a habit of kicking you when you least expect it. The 2k gems is simply for that unexpected moment nothing more.

@@Knossity well If I'm being honest I and My older sister have tested out this "Guide" as you put it and across 12 accounts total we got a 10/12 ratio of success rate. Heck my sister ended up with 11 Unique heroes and 3 Ex weapons on one of her accounts while I ended up with 7 Uniques and 4 Ex weapons. I also took it a step further and Got FP on Every single account and only 1 account didn't get her Ex weapon. so as I said Tested trial and error it's got an 85% success rate for starting a new account.
I have to say, Guardian Tales is one of my favorite games. :3 I also like Crusaders Quest, too, for the pixel art style. I'm deciding to create a new game in Guardian Tales. We'll see how it goes! Thank you for this video! 💜

They also have good storylines. :3 Revived Witch has beautiful pixel art graphics especially, and the story is well-done. There was another game I used to play a long time ago called Aurora Legends, although it didn't have pixel art. Unfortunately, it's not in the Play Store anymore, from what I can see. I thought it was a cute game.
man the 2nd thing just happened to me and i feel really, really stupid. (by complete accident since i was trying to get parvati) and got tinia, lapice, and kamael (kamael was a dupe so i got 50 hero crystals) and i had tinia's exclusive weapon but extracted it ;-;

Well yeah, exclusive weapons make heroes different from other ones since it fits their class/role so you could utilize them and it also gives exclusive perks for that hero only (i.e. Attack style change, more enemy debuff, bonus dps). For me, it's not exactly needed but if you can't get the weapon you can be patient and mileage it instead.
Dude meta heroes tip is very important cauz if u are playing f2p u have to max selected heroes and as rn gt is releasing all new meta units so basically most old heroes are trash now.. rn im having a huge pain in ass by evolving new units and awaken them as legendry stones are limited
Very helpful. Playing the nintendo switch version and was lucky to get both a good hero with matching weapon early. Kind of figured some of this stuff out after the fact but live and learn am I right?
First of all thank you!, I would suggest going to the official Guardian Tales discord since there are a lot more guild offers there so you could join a guild that fits to your liking.
While its true, but number 1 isnt always relevant. Because boosted in dungeon isnt always happened. It's a periodic event. Also, you always need lots of coffee to play in dungeon. And frankly, 60-70 wouldnt be enough to get all the items for evolution you need. Especially when you want to evolve multiple heroes. Well at least to me, buying it is always another alternative.
Use your stamina, because almost everything in the game (dungeon and level wise) gives gold. Go to higher level dungeons for more resource drops as well.
I feel like Meta isn't a thing anymore (as a casual player). I'll leave that shit to the whales, the good players, and the good whales, but I'm going to stick to platinum rank on every content with whatever character I think is cool even with a fully maxed out team. Kamazone is still fun.
I used to spent all my hero crystals to buy evolution stone and now i'm stuck in world 12 with lv 80 ennemies while my heroes are lv 75... Well, this is still playable but the difficulty is very high
It's a new feature they added to ascend rare heroes to a higher grade. It makes the rare heroes change special abilities, art, attack style, etc. For now only Craig and Elvira has this. Dream evo stones are there for you to shortcut evolving your hero to 5 star but it does use hero crystals which you can use to limit break the hero and max out its level and awakening. I don't advise it since limit breaking really does a lot compared to heroes that aren't limit broken. Patience is just needed so you can 5 star a hero without sacrificing hero crystals to limit break it. Thanks for the question.
Don't spend in gt,even you spend it's still hard to pass world 15 passages it's a waste on money in this game just play it for fun and grind when it's your free time
Nah, it's only until you're at a comfortable level. Like finishing season 1 for example after you've unlocked many things and probably have a full invested team or so. Depends on the person. It's also when you're used to the game and it's mechanics and features. Like PVP content and such. It's just some tips so you won't regret some decisions you did in the future. Especially spending hero crystals.

Using a much more tanky team composition would do, like 2 tank team with 1 healer and 1 dps. Also if you haven't yet, max limit break your heroes, this would be very important specially in later worlds.
Honestly, it's going to take a lot of summons (If you're F2P I don't recommend it). But if you do get lucky it's better than saving 1.5k magic metal for a limit breaking hammer which takes a long time and also 150 summons. I would only recommend you do it when the Exclusive Weapon is on the banner though. I wish you luck
Well if you don't have anymore heroes or weapons to summon for, why not? There would be still more free summons anyways. Try also to summon for new heroes as well after you get all of your needed weapons.

Should have clarified that spending Isn't all the solution for everything in the game and it's not required. But of course support for the developers is always good. It's just to show that you aren't obligated to spend on the game just to get good at it. The game is good as well but idk where you got the part of bad reviews since I didn't show them here. Though I did get opinions on what should you spend on/or items that are worth to buy in case that you do spend on the game. Should have clarified, thank you for the feedback.
