earlier today i met the exact opposite of that: a group of three were on their way to the office and just before they went through the barrier i got their attention and they helped me opening the telekenesis door, and i will cherish them for ages
Ｎ Ｏ Ｖ Ａ with 8 player door I believe it’s not rude for people to leave, that area works by merging other servers with smaller-numbered players into 8. So it’s not that more is better. Often a 7/8 people gets a longer wait since they’d need to find a server with only one person. Another side note, if you’r waiting more than 5 minutes it’s probably bugged. If you had been waiting for 10 minutes it’s definitely bugged. In that case no matter how long you waited (eg. 30 minutes)/even if you managed to get the 8th people, the elevator in the middle still wouldn’t light up. Better restart the game. Well I’m talking about some general cases why people leave. I’ve seen other people deliberately not helping while laughing at us and I’d regard that one as offensive/
i remember this veteran tried feeding me to a krill and i let go of their hand because i saw a glowing spirit then the krill hit the veteran. i spammed the honk-squats at them as they sat in silence 🤣
i have one "friend" which never lit me up or send a heart, when we met first time i sit on bench to ask her name and where she need to go, she don't sit, just running around and show grumpy emote... i didn't saw her for a long time and few days ago i sit by the table and talked to one person and she started running around, we greeted each other and invited to join... but again didn't join, just running around with grumpy expression, later crying expression, at last she sit by the table and write that she needs 10 hearts... whats wrong with that person 😫
Also, if you find someone playing an instrument in a hidden part of a map, please don't sit and listen, they are trying to practice to improve their craft, not perform. It's kinda awkward and it makes folks like me want to stop playing and go somewhere else. If people want to perform for passerbys, then they'll sit out in the open somewhere.
What i find annoying is that whenever i need someone's help in recharging, especially in wasteland, they just ignore me because they have a friend to recharge with I- 😤😤
I always help recharge together with my friend 🥺 also, we catch lost wing while we are out there messing with krills. We are the „Wasteland-Help and Guiding-Team!“ 🦐
this is why when im being candle ubered, and i see solo players- i honk alot! recharge for everyone! _and also helps my group to like, server hop? and get the plants to just pop and ready to collect ^^_
I've only had good experiences on sky and it's been really pleasant. I went through my 5th run of eden and someone was with me the whole way making sure I never burnt out. Then they pointed me in the right direction, waved goodbye, and went to help other people.
I love doing this, it's really fun!! Once you've been through Eden enough times running it is just super chill and helping people feels nice :D Sometimes I just run through Eden a few times a day to help people haha
@@justBeOrDontB7568 Oh no, Jesus appearing is finishing the water trial and having fun exploring the area and then seeing two people having trouble and spending like an extra half an hour to help them only to find out they're Chinese after. They still thanked me a million times though! (And I told them to go to sleep since they were up at 4am)
I had an experience like this, they waited for me to arrive to the last sections and afterwards we ran together through the storm of red rocks while setting our candles ablaze, I did not friend them but it was, overall, a really nice and wholesome experience, I hope I can see them again someday. :'^)
another thing is please stop asking to light me while im practising, and don't get impatient and walk away. just because im in the middle of playing music doesn't mean im ignoring you
Agreed, once i was playing in prairie and alot of people came closer for lights, but i didn't do it cuz you know I don't stop my performance for lights, so one of the people starts honking constantly 😔
K time for no one asked story time: Once in home area, someone lighted me up, and then we just spammed emotes. He offered friendship, and I accepted, so to know what to name him, I took him to daylight prairie for bench. Turns out he couldn't speak english and he was talking with emojis xDD His name is now The Emoji Kiddo xD
Sad, I would try to not drag my friends down while candle run, but then again, when I was new and ignorant, I accidently had my friends krilled. Luckily they use home button
Lighting a friend’s candle in the constellation and them not lighting back.... I can see them accepting the gift of light... but they aren’t lighting back. *W h y ?*
To offer a possible benefit of the doubt, if you have a lot of friends it takes a while to light up each one every single time you play. Then again I have “friends” who never light back. It’s just like real life. People be like that sometimes
I am guilty of once doing something rude, but unintentionally. I was talking to a friend in home space when a few other friends came up to me and wanted to hold hands. Ididn't have chat unlocked with them so I assumed they wanted to take me away to run candles. That's happened a few times when I was busy doing something else. So I used the NO emote. They asked a few times and each time I said no. I was obviously having a conversation. They finally left before I realized that one of the daily tasks was to hold hands with 4 players. 🤦♀️
I remember befriending someone who seemed like a veteran at COTL at the time when I first started playing, he took me candle running and collecting stars, then we got to wasteland and I still didn't know about the Home glitch, he stopped all the time and we get attacked by the Krill, but only got me. Then he kept using the laughing emote. I was so frustrated because I had to go back and collect it all over again but on my own next time 😔
@@thatskydavid I only knew about the Home glitch 3 days ago haha 😭 Another player told me about it. But the one who took me to Wasteland never did, won't even reply on chat. Just trolled on me all the time when I was new. So I blocked interaction with him after I learnt everything on my own 💀
I don't know if this count as a betrayal, but I was helping a moth I found in eden once and promised to be her friend forever in sky (since she is rather shy and doesn't have a lot of friends) and help her. I would always join her when she's online and guide her. I would make mistakes, such as accidently getting krilled since I wasn't completely a veteran even if I looked like one, but we had a good time together. However, once, when an update was needed, Play Store (probably because my phone was bought in China) refused to let me when my phone version is high enough to have an update. I tried different ways to update the game only to find that the only way is to download a new game pack, which will reset my account every single time, because I am playing on a new server and account. I couldn't connect to any Google account no mather what and was playing on Android (meaning I can't use Game Play only available in Apples), so I couldn't restore my account when Facebook wasn't an option at the time. It happened so suddenly that I couldn't ask her if she has a social media account to contact her if anything happens. She told me she's Arabian and I'm doubting whether she could even access to social media or use one. I was so frustrated, angry at myself, guilty, ashamed and wanted to cry because I may create a misunderstanding and may be even betraying her when I didn't want to. I had broken a promise I never intended to. This promise was something very meaningful, since she was new and may also hold a great meaning to her, when she was shy and don't know how to socialize with other players. It was something important for me, because it is a promise I declared myself, but I broke it just like a piece of glass. Even until now, I am still thinking about her and worried about her.
I only dont light back because of 2 reasons! 1. People think its necessary when stomping in forest (I like to speedrun, but now I just use chibi mask to avoid doing that) 2. Whenever I try to play piano I get really nervous when people surround me and I start to play bad, so I try to find oobs to play in but I still get discovered T.T
Legit happened to me today for 4 doors. 2 from prairie, 2 from vault. Was so sad TT. I didnt want to do the glitch either for vault because it felt unfair to do it when another person would be left behind... i usually friend them and drag them along though. Sometimes im too broke to do so which are the most frustrating days... sorry for my rant 😔 its just happening a lot more recently...
This happened to me and two other people once. I was so mad. The person was also a friend, but I couldn't communicate with her because of language barriers. We were all at the door in Vault waiting and calling for a fourth. When she finally came, we got in position ready for her to do the same. Then she just obbed through the door. A few seconds later she popped back out and left us, ignoring our calls. How rude is that? I couldn't believe it.

Mayo N' Catchup K, but that’s justified, lmao. I’m talking about in general, if someone approaches you randomly, wanting to light a candle, whether that be just to see your avatar, interact with you, or become friends, light them back. 🤷♀️
You aren't entitled to their time, no matter how little it is, and it isn't like you are getting much out of it anyway unless you run out of energy far from somewhere you can recharge. Edit: And this is coming from someone that feels a weird compulsion to light as many people as I can reasonably light.
When it comes to chilling and hanging out sometimes I just want to talk to a close friend of mine and I don’t have the energy to interact with 6 other people in the server. So I don’t light back. I’m not as friendly as everyone and I take extremely long to warm up to people. It sucks that no one can understand the struggle I face with especially being addicted to a game full of extroverts 😔
Thankfully I’ve had rather good experiences with other players. One of my fondest memories is when I was waiting at one of the vault doors with two other people. We had been there for a while, and since I had seen them walk up together I was afraid they’d just leave. Thankfully, they were kind enough to friend me, and glitched me through the wall with them. I was very grateful!
I recently followed another one to vault and been to that 4 player door and see someone waiting there. No forth people apprears. Then the one I followed friended the one waiting there and bring us glitched the door. It's nice to help others, and I hope that one day I could be strong enough to help others! :)
Soo many players disappeared or said they'll send hearts tomorrow to never show up after I traded hearts with them. They are not a true sky childrens but I call them krills children. 😤😤😤

something that really pissed me off was i had a quest that was sit on a bench with a stranger. i saw a group of people at the beginning of daylight prairie and I lit a candle on a bench and blinked at them to come sit with me and they just straight up ignored me and emoted "no" back at me so I just wasted a candle for nothing.
I do wish people were more considerate of stuff like that. If I hear someone honking by a two player or four player door, i go out of my to help them and then move on with my task. The same goes for the bench. If I know that is one of the tasks, I’ll sit with everyone that is near by to make sure we all get it. It’s really not that hard to do simple curteous things
Wait. Lighting a candle on the bench use actual candle? MY PRECIOUS HARD EARNED CANDLES? I light those candles for fun because I thought it's free like how you lit the red candles. Wait. Don't tell me the red candles consume candles too. IS THIS WHY I'M BROKE? *confused moth noise
This is like common etiquette people should know, someone make an official "10 commandments" on the game, like when you first play that's the first thing everyone sees
I had experienced number 2!!! Tried to asked someone for help to bring me to eden during my moth days and on the last krill before the tunnel to stormlock that sky kid left me to the krill’s spotlight (not to mention the rocks banging me) and went back to home base. I panicked and couldn’t press home properly . I was so devastated when I got back to home I almost cried and that kid suddenly appeared again and used the laugh emote REPEATEDLY.
I accidentally did that except I didn't go home...I just ran for cover really quickly and just assumed that they were following me. I was running from the krill and the player was holding hands with me in Eden but I don't know what happened, I think its a glitch, I started running for cover and they were stuck on spot. I didn't know how to go and get them to hold hands again when they were in krill's spotlight. I felt so bad undercover. They came to where I was and sort of left without me. I felt so guilty.
0:29 Tell me about it. Happened a minute ago. I was just trying to play the titanic ost and someone had the audacity to ruin my performance. At first I was calm and collected. Maybe they didn’t hear me you know? But then they stopped playing so I continued to play and then they started playing. I got salty so I went to go dress as an inkemen to intimidate them. I then proceeded to start honking like a mad lad and ruined their performance. They got annoyed but, continued to play so I then started spamming in my piano and they just left. I had the last laugh that’s all I care about. 😌💕
Others are good but not lighting back in return? Well that’s personal freedom. It’s not harming other players (only remaining silent) so should be okay :) Maybe the other one is not rude or ignorant, maybe they’re just introverted and scared. If you keep calling they’d feel pressured and get scared even more. People I knew get nervous with lighting due to multiple past experience of being stalked by other players. Other people may not prefer to light because of friend requests from moths. They may have too many friends already that they don’t have energy for more (usually when they cherish every friendship as genuine!). Or they prefer to stay alone quietly. Or they’d feel bad if they decline the request. Not lighting back is not conclusive of their personalities.

@@bert7651 No, it's pretty actuate considering the effort, even if small, is more than saying hi, and instead of just a small recognition of someone it shows both what you are wearing. Also dang this is a reply to an 8 month old comment, I don't even play the game anymore but after rereading the context and remembering the game I still remember lighting is more than just a hi.
DO A PART 2!! Some things I hate people do is when you’re in the first race collecting thoes individual candles and people don’t wait and start the race. Also, I hate when people move on in vault and don’t help you open the doors even though it takes like 5 seconds:(

A week ago, I still remember an adventure pass player tag me with him in Wasteland and he take me to the red zone for many times and for no reason (ofc I use Home Glitch for not losing stars), but I still keep tag along with him bcs I'm having fun too. Maybe he seeing me as a moth bcs I still use the original cape, but naahh, I'm pro already, never scared by krill's attack 😂😂

Oof, I kept on remembering this one person on the official discord that would get moths krilled because they didn’t trust them and I got really angry at them for doing that but I tried not to sound like I was mad at them when I was talking to them about how mean it was to do that
I’m just happy when I went through gw this duo led me. They didn’t friend me but they stayed away from krill, went fast enough that I didn’t see the krill eat the manta, and waited for me while recharging me so I could keep up. I wish I had the candles at the time to friend them :,)

I just met someone doing no.3 today at the sunny area of hidden forest when I wanted to try out my new instrument (from the twirl spirit). There were two other players there where the Musician wears a butterfly cape and his/her friend a chibi listening to the music ( something with the lyrics “until we’re getting old”I think can’t remember the song ) and that person interrupted by playing his own music. The chibi later used a angry stomp emote at him but he doesn’t realise he was interrupting. Other than that, this video is great and I look forward seeing more content from you ٩( 'ω' )و
Someone I met did the 4th. It's kinda my fault, I did offer them help on hearts for elder hair that they want, but I said "trade" and they translate it as I'm your sugar skydaddy so just ask and I'll give you one for free
I hate peoples who use chibi mask glitch at 4 players door we already have 3 people already only one need and they don’t come to us just use glitch and got away I know you guys are pro but don’t do it :) so many people do this to me that’s why I never go vault of knowledge
@@wiwieiwi1258 Technically, I wish not, because I'm growing impatient of waiting for players to assemble in front of the door (it takes more than an hour). Though I always use the glitch, I still help the four player doors. I am still a student and need to candle run as fast as I could before my mom finds out and screams at me to study. Otherwise, it's only when I grew impatient of waiting when people are ignoring us and just go on another floor. I only knew that trick from a friend who's a pro at glitching whose time is very very limited (mostly at work) and had to complete his run before reset
Wait... What's this glitch! I wanna know! And in that four player room in the first level above the spirit area there's a room? In that room if we reach the end there's like a door but we can't open it... Its just there... Nothing happens and there's something you can light on the other side of the door because we get that fire icon. I wanna know what that is.. I've been trying to find out what that is but there's literally nothing about that place...
@@abhiramisankar9935 Are you talking about the telekinesis spirit four-player door? The one where four players need to pull the door? There is a spirit and candles in it. There is a glitch in which you go under the door and glitch with a chibi mask
I had a "friend" that tried to used me to get ap and was very demanding. When I refused, he would throw tamper tantrums. One day, I sent a heart, he in return, never gave me. This video hits close to home ;_;
This friend said she was gonna buy the chibi mask so i gave her a heart she said she was going to trade back but she just left and i knew her for a while too ;(
i was in the golden wasteland once and i think someone was feeding a moth to a krill 😭 i don’t know for sure cause i didn’t light their candles so idk what they look like but one was a chibi with like 9 wings and the other one was the default size and only like 4 or 5 wings. anyway we were in the little shelter that’s close to the walk way to go to the graveyard thing (hopefully i explained that right) and they kept going in and out. like the krill would spot them, they would go in the shelter, then the krill would be still looking in that area, then they would go back out, get spotted, and go back in. they did that a couple of times till they finally got krilled. i was so annoyed too 😭 i wanted to get out the shelter but they kept the krill in that place... i just wanna get them candles/ stars ✨
I traded hearts with someone (met them like 3 months ago and we never played together but would occasionally trade hearts) and they accepted it but then blocked me????? I feel so hurt 😭😭😭 what did i do wrong😭😭
Well the people I trade with are very good friends of mine. They are either real life friends or very good friends (and they are as nice as gifting a pass to a stranger they know for three months) of my real life friends, so I know I can trust them.
Maybe they didn’t mean for it to be so bad. I know it can feel personal but you don’t need a great reason to block someone. Maybe they just had too many friends and blocked some that they don’t play with, or maybe they don’t want to trade anymore but don’t know how to tell you
Seriously?! I just knew about these types of people. The people I meet are always nice people (probably because of the help of my friend irl), but they never do something like that. Except for no2, when my friend is joking about feeding my moth friend irl to the krill. I knew that he was joking because he would never do something as cruel as that, especially when it's a friend of mine. He joked, because he was curious of what her reaction and experience of being krilled was like. He himself, when he was pretty new got krilled and was pissed off (especially when the take-out delivery went late) so he didn't mean it. As I was reading the comments, I didn't realise there were so many toxic players and they call themselves veterans?! I thought sky was a cute game of cooperation, socializing, have fun together! Not laughing at others, watching others suffer, hypocrites and stuff! I guess I should consider myself lucky to have never meet such players
You know a friend a is trust worthy when you give them a gift and they say they don’t have enough candles at the moment and can’t return a heart *and they actually return a heart on the same or next day*
The first time i was in this game someone offered to lead me and they immediately dragged me to wasteland and left me to die with all my wing lights ;w; 👌
*Proper sky etiquette* 1. Always be prepared to help moths(finding spirits, getting through harder realms, etc) 2. Do not honk spam/play on instruments/interrupt in general whilst others are playing(this includes using loud emotes, hovering the player, etc) 3. If you encounter a toxic/less than desirable player, do not act toxic back 4. Always be supportive of others, whether that means listening to their music or simply encouraging them in hard times 5. Do not judge players by the value of their cosmetics(the humble player will often be the better one) 6. Always help open the various doors in the vault 7. For heavens’ sakes, DON’T KRILL *ANYONE* 8. Keep the game unrealistically wholesome to the point you would sell your soul to live in it 9. Like shared memories 10. *Have fun*
I have one: Holding hands with people who are running/flying past every spirit and lights on the way even tho you are clearly a moth and now you have to go back all the way because they were going super fast

I once accidently ruined my friends' performance without knowing when I was new, because I didn't know that people who sees your avatar can hear you. I gave up on music, because it's too complicated
I do gotta admit I used to do this test to moths, i would put them in front of the krill that hits the manta in the 2nd stage of Wasteland, no danger but seeing them panic was really funny 😂 some didn't flinch at all so i knew they have played for a longer time lol
My friend warped to me multiple times before they get krilled, but thankfully hadn't brought the krill with them. I think they just warp too soon for it. And that also they didn't realize that they risk bringing the krill with them whenever they warp to safety lol. But about no. 1, Let people have their reasons to not light. Some can have social anxiety and/or is just too tired for socializing. This is why I tend to take out candle from menu and just stand near, because tapping on the flame icon on top of their head would mean my character would automatically follow if they move away, and I dont want to seem pushy.
The heart trade is so painful now a days. Used to trade hearts every day with so many, now not anymore. Either people stopped playing or they don’t give me a heart. 😭 That’s so messed up man.
I may have accidentally caused, or was almost a reverse victim, of situation 2- Recently, I was going through Wastelands and a moth wanted to friend me- I accepted- then the moth wanted to hold hands. So I let them, and the moth started leading me through WL. The moth got us to the end of battlefield, and activated the switch that opened the stair gate and also activated the krills. I skipped watching the cutscene because the krills always make me nervous, but after a few seconds, the moth still hadn't moved us anywhere. I think I honked a couple of times to try and get the moth's attention, wondering if maybe they didn't know what was happening- but then, I suddenly remembered that trolls sometimes liked to sacrifice others to krills. I became nervous that this might be a situation like that, so I let go of the moth's hand and ran over to the stairs, not wanting to lose my wing lights. I turned around once I was on the stairs and started honking to try and get the moth to come towards me, but they still hadn't moved from the switch. Maybe the krill cutscene was just way longer than I remembered, but it still felt weird to me that the moth wasn't panicking or moving at all. I paced around the stairs and continued to honk at the moth, inching further up the stairs as the krills got closer- but I walked too far up and the gate slammed down. I freaked out- I didn't mean to get the moth stuck with the krills- so I ran into the next area in hopes that this would make the gate rise for the moth again. I waited inside the elder area to see if the moth would appear...after a few minutes, several other players had come through, but still not the moth. I felt terrible, but eventually, I continued on with my day. I don't remember what the name of the moth was (I used the game's randomly provided name when I friended them), so I'm not sure what became of them afterwards. By being paranoid, I may have accidentally sacrificed the moth to the krills- or, maybe I managed to escape a sacrifice attempt from a moth-disguised troll- I'm not sure. Either way, I've never had an experience quite like this before ^^'
Before, I just disliked lighting people up. There are reasons, small things that add up, and also due to personal way of playing. Most of the time if someone comes close to me asking to light up, I'll still do it, but some other time I'll try to act like I didn't realize and slowly fade away. Then the player base started to call people like me "rude" and "selfish", as if I owe them my own sky kid. Dude don't tell me they need to light up to recharge, when I get close to a solo runner I always deep call. Always. And deep call recharges others much more efficiently without the need to light them up. After getting called names and screamed at, just because I don't wanna light people up, my disliking for it doesn't reduce. I even started to dislike deep calls for strangers. In the end, as long as we don't light them up; even if we do all the deep calls, helped open all the doors, guided all the moths, ubered all the kind of people from close friends to straight-up strangers without receiving anything, those things mean nothing. We're still rude and selfish. To refuse to light people's candles. As long as it doesn't harm anyone, let people play their damn game.
@@deltaloraine I have some in-game friends and most of them will join me whenever they see me online, or in rare cases I meet some moth and they will offer their hand/follow me around. I also have to deal with lots of people in my daily life, at the end of the day it's a bit overwhelming. So when there's no friend around I like to wander completely alone, or at least anonymously. Keeping other people un-lit somehow helps with that.
I dont light strangers back because Im very shy and impatience with that ones who use flirting emotes... I hate them... and, as the same irl, I dont like to show for strangers my true self. Reveling my kid to others make me feel like telling my hole story for a random stranger, because of this... I run as far as I cam, If they follow... I put myself on krill sight without using the trick and rum to eden to finish all my lights and take them back again... yeah... I know... I'm a freak...
Omg the number 2 one is downright cruel. I remember bringing my siblings (who are moths) to Eden for the first time and I legit screamed when they accidentally let go.
i don't think 1) is a necessity, i sometimes don't light people back up cause i usually rush candles and don't like getting distracted by people or i just don't feel like communicating
I would like to add one, people pretending to be moths. I don't know if it's a rising trend or what but if someone did that to me I would feel betrayed and upset.
Okay, but a small pet peeve of mine is when I'm not doing heart trades because I'm saving up my candles for certain items and people end up sending me hearts without asking me beforehand. I've even told a friend of mine nicely on there that I wasn't doing trades until the traveling spirit and the event (Days of Feast) is over. She sent me a heart the next day, it makes me feel bad because then I feel obligated to return it. I really don't want anyone to get the wrong idea though, I love my Sky friends! But that was something I needed to get of my chest.
