4x4 rooms are my favorite to design in hhp! Either that or 4x6, I think the smaller rooms are just more fun to furnish I love the challenge of it

Honestly, I love goofing around with the room sketch app. I tend to use that to help me figure out what rooms to give my villagers better homes.

i feel like the tinier room sizes are kinda underrated, because i see ppl getting very creative and making the small room work when they maximize the space. the smaller size makes it look cuter, like a mini diorama!

Besides my minor nitpick about the lack of a kitchen sink and dishwasher inside of the kitchen (both of which should, of course, be trivially easy to add into a 4x4 floorplan), these 4x4 room builds didn't seem as challenging to me as trying to cram a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room/dining room/studio/home office inside of a typical 6x6 villager home. However, I think it'd be possible to do so, especially if one is aiming to waste as little space as possible, like so: - For a bathroom, I'd say that the bare minimum would be a toilet, a walk-in shower, a cabinet or shelf to store hygiene products, and a mirror, all of which I believe could be crammed into a 1x3 or 2x2 space. - For a kitchen, I'd say that the bare minimum would be a refrigerator, a kitchen sink, a dishwasher, a conventional oven, microwave oven, toaster oven, or other form of general-purpose cooking appliance, and enough cabinets, cupboards, shelves, and other storage space that could house all the various dishes, pots, pans, cookware, silverware, and cooking ingredients that a home cook could ever need, all of which I believe could be crammed into a 2x3 space. - For a bedroom, assuming that either a couple, or a lone person who's hoping to get themselves a lover, would be living there, I'd say that the bare minimum would be a double bed, a desk that could be used for writing and/or using a PC, a chair for said desk, and a wardrobe or closet for storing most clothes, all of which I believe couldn't be crammed into any space that's smaller than a 3x3 or 2x4 floorplan. - Finally, for a living room, I'd say that the bare minimum would be a TV, either a couch with seating for 2 or a couple chairs, a table for both seated people to enjoy food, drink, snacks, and/or games (possibly while watching the TV), and a cabinet, bookshelf, or other storage space for holding, say, movies, books, video games, and/or tabletop games to name a few, all of which I believe could be crammed into a 2x3 space. - I'd also like to recommend a washing machine and a dryer for cleaning clothes with little effort, though I believe that both could be stuck where there'd be a couple of 1x1 free spaces available, though ideally somewhere within or next to the kitchen and/or living room, and not the bedroom, since they'd be noisy, nor the bathroom, which I fear would get all humid and steamy during a hot bath or shower, which wouldn't be good for keeping clothes dry within the dryer.

I love tiny rooms and houses and I really wish there was a way to downgrade your own home in ACNH. I felt forced to upgrade it for the storage space, but I honestly would much prefer having a much smaller house, perhaps even with fewer rooms. This video really reminds me of why I feel that way. 😭

Actually, the room sketch is all the items on your HHA catalog :) exactly like if your customizing one of your villager's homes on your own island :)

What is the app you can use on your phone to practice? I can't see it on the Nintendo direct where happy home is. I even tried googling it and still can't find it.
