Really nice tips Savix as alway, I want to add about "Know your Enemy" if someone has real problem with some enemy class, he can check enemy spells and talent calculator on Wowhead, or even go to PTR and create that problem class to check how his spells work.
1 month ago I randomly went from horde to alliance to play with a mage friend and his healer. They already had synergy in 2s at 2k-ish rating. Low and behold. We got to 2350 rating in 2 evenings as an odd comp. Surv-fire-mw. Don't be afraid to break the mold, find new ways and above all play to have fun. Our goal was 2000 for elite gear and we got way further than that. Aiming 2.4k now for next season :) What made me a better player this year is definately getting used and liking arena 123 macros. I barely use focus macros anymore. If you don't like it like me, force yourself. It's so worth it!

Very educational Savix. I wish WoW was still in its PvP golden age when you could learn the enemy by dueling your heart out in front of Stormwind or Org. I sat out there for hours dueling every class and learning what their abilities and cool downs did to counter them in order to get better. It was addictive once you understood it all and it was a lot easier back in the day. :( Garrisons pretty much destroyed this and to this day Duelotar is still a dead waste land.
Wow.... Long time fan, finally got my Paladin up to max since i came back and decided to check the worlds best Paladin for some advice before hoppin into PvP. Been on and off since BC, always loved PvP compared to other content and... This is the first time ive realized theres a button to just target or auto focus Arena enemies. I had macros to /focus and would click on one, focus it, then go back to his friend. Wasn't difficult, but it ate up precious seconds. And bam, here it is. Didn't just help my Paladin, helped my entire PvP experience. All hail High Lord Savix.
yeah, Reporting back after a couple skirmishes. Its insane how much difference that one thing made. I've had to completely redo my macros and keybinds, and its going to be some time before I'm comfortable my controls again, but I already feel the difference.
I haven't tested it but the OPie addon looks ideal for arena targeting. You can have one ring for main target and one for focus. Party members left, enemies right, placeholders top and bottom. You can even hide buttons with macro conditionals like [@arena3, exists].

One thing which I am mad about still yet is, that I missed out the opportunity to get the bloody tyranny illusion. It looks in my opinion still the best, even after all these years.
Great guide matee! Only have one question, when you use arena 1,2,3 macro why do you have to bind arena focus 1,2,3 only logic is for looking at focus frame if im right ?
Old vid but great advice. But with the macros, having target blind, then 1,2,3 is nuts. Then add that with kick, gouge, sap, shadowstep feels nuts. Beeing fast at swapping focus target by having that keybound is still decently good right? And you dont have to change macros for bgs/wpvp etc.

Im completely new to pvp and i know this is an old post. But how he started it out with STOP CLICKING is what sold me on the video lol i tried so hard to stop clicking in pve lol i cant but i want to quit clicking lol
it's GladiatorLosSa not GladiusLosSa, just so people don't get confused. It's also out-dated, the working one is called GladiatorLosSa2 would only recommend the addon for newer pvpers.
This seems like a noob question but how do you deal with classes that kite/pillar hump and heal as a class with no self healing? For example, as a Frost DK when a monk kites me and heals up I'm now at a disadvantage. How can I mitigate this?

I'm a Fury warrior who wants to try competetive pvp but I'm not sure if my class if viable for it?? Are Fury honor talents good... Or should I play one of my other toons ? (I have a monk and a warlock at max... I main the warlock but I feel as if warlock is underpowered atm??)
Can you give some advices on how to counter an Elemental shaman at 7.3 as a melee, I can't reach them, they just slow too much then throw you away then slow totem while you get consumed by their dot and some ice fury
What i don't like about Party member 1,2,3 macros is how do you know what party member is 1,2 or 3 plus you can't even get used to what order people are because it changes every game... :/
The problem I have is I started playing arenas like 3 days ago. I got to 1.5k CR pretty quickly and easily and then the difficulty just went sky high from there. Mainly because I'm still learning and I need to practice more but it's just so sudden. Now I'm constantly using LFG to find teammates but they just leave after 1-2 losses whenever I make a mistake so now I'm kinda stuck at 1.4k - 1.5k CR.
