Yes! Phase of life is huge! I had 3 kids in 4 years and realized I kept pushing them to do things that honestly were better suited for that 5-9 age group like you. I’ve since pulled way back and everyone is so much happier! I kept thinking if I don’t do it now we’ll miss out, which is such a lie! And realizing I don’t have to do it all in one year 😅 science is my jam and my kids love science, but I find myself trying to cram everything possible in - crafts, field trips, experiments, ALL the books 😂 I have to remind myself we’ve got time and we will revisit these topics multiple times before they graduate! When you’re excited to homeschool and teach it’s easy to push them too hard or too fast. 😅😅

Aww you sound like my people! I get overly excited too. I've also learned that letting them do things that seem a bit easy for them helps build their confidence. They don't always need the next hard challenge.

The last part made me feel alot better. I Have one that just got potty trained last week and one just started to walk and then a 5 year old. Our house still has nap time for kids. I want to do so much but cant at the moment but know it will get easier . Thanks!

I was a big stickler for nap times. Some of my boys napped till 5 years. Sleep is so important. Things come in time, focus on the now.

I keep a list of curriculum that I'm interested in for future years and sometimes I go back and delete something from the list because my heart has moved on and I realize it wouldn't be the right fit......but other times (more often than I'd like to admit) I'll purchase something on a whim because I saw it in a FB post or on a youtube curriculum video. For instance, I just purchased an Evan Moor Financial Literacy workbook because I saw it presented in a video yesterday 😬. Will we use it? I have no idea. But i get severe FOMO.
