Really liking the new series, it's in-depth enough as photography / videography tutorials with a bit more applicable tips for shooting our reef tanks. Thanks and looking forward to see what's next!
I love how you guys are starting to bring more content to the table, awsome educational stuff on corals, and now photography stuff. Keep bringing the awsome content.
One trick I have learned for fish especially is to shoot using the LCD rather than the viewfinder. It lets me see the exposure in real time, and that is key when shooting anything moving around where I am always fiddling with the shutter and focus.
Great info here Becka. One thing that might help people out concerning money is to look at a fixed focal length lens. Many of these can give you an extremely fast lens while avoiding some of the expense of a wide ranging all purpose variable zoom lens. The good thing about shooting a tank is your not shooting over a long distance so a fixed focal length can work, you just have to move your feet. I love using a fixed focal length for low light situations (high school sports) where a fixed lens can give you a couple more stops of light without having to crank up your ISO and risk getting more noise.
Love this series!! Has helped heaps. I thought I was pretty decent at fish/coral photography but these tips have been super! Would love to see videotography version too!
I love to use my 70-200 F2.8 with extension tubes. This makes your telephoto lens a macro lens keeping it fast and making it focus up close. So best of both worlds.
I must say this: Becka is AMAZING! She is sweet fun and energetic. And her on screen performance is that of a professional actress. How were you able to get her Than??? She should be in Hollywood working to become a movie star. Anyway, wish you guys all the best. Her happy demeanour contrasts sharply with your more... (hum) uptight 😃self awareness making you guys a killer combo. I am a bit of a photo enthusiast so nothing really new here but still just grabs my attention for the whole duration of the clip.
At the beginning when she holds up a few thousand worth of 📷.....it just made me lol and say yep 🍻 its time for me to ditch the overated pos smart phone...whats funny is they advertise the crap out of these cameras in our phones but yet its the same old B.S. id say a smartphone is like a limited gaming console and the PC is king.....great video yall take care 🍻
If you are using a Samsung 9 phone, you can go into the photo settings and choose PRO mode for photos or video and that allows you to compensate for the extra blue by changing the WHITE BALANCE to 10k. It will look more realistic in the photos and videos.
Great video but Iv actually filmed all my videos on my channel and taken all my photos on Instagram using just an iPhone. It’s a great solution for beginners before getting into using a real camera 📸
Jay67 Hype I use an IPhone 11 Pro max, the quality of an iPhone is great. Especially just starting out. I’m looking into getting a Canon R in the near future.
