Such beautiful work! Yet, i'd really love to see an episode on how to reclaim rough ground, & begin a planting bed! What are all the alternative ways, such as tilling, etcetera. It sure does look easier with existing beds! Show us how you made them from scratch, please!

Ive never really been into gardening i sadly kill alot of plants but ive moved into our first home that we own and the garden needs to be completely pulled out and re done because sadly the old man that lived here couldnt maintain it. I stumbled across your channel about 4 days ago and ive been OBSESSED!!! I got a lot of useful tips from your 'flowerbed makeover' video in terms of the design aspect and really love hearing your thought process. Obviously, knowing about plants and their needs/growth habits are important but you also have an eye for the aesthetics. I find it hard to envision how my plants will look together once they're mature so it's great to be able to see your beds at different stages.

Laura there is always something new to learn. I have always loved flowers and watching things grow but never took the time to learn how to do it properly. Your videos and topics are very helpful and inspiring and you do have the cutest baby. Thanks.

Laura you said not to stress about what kind of mulch to use and I totally agree with that...but what kind did you get?...I am loving the color it sends off in the flower bed! Your grounds are my goal in LIFE! Love it!

Love it with the mulch color! Because I'm lazy I use compost as the mulch though. I don't have to pull it back to plant. And just add on top as it sinks. I don't get the amazing color choices but that's ok. I'm just a one and done kind of person because I'm old. Your's looks beautiful Laura!

Love the purple color of the flowers 💐

You may be surprised by those Stand By Me Clematis plants. They say 3 ft wide x 3 ft tall but my 3 yr old plant is almost 5 ft. tall by a little over 2 ft wide. Their branches fall over and touch the ground and have to be staked completely around the whole plant. First I tried staking with trellises on 2 sides. Even though smacked up against a fence with a hydrangea bush on one side and another 3 ft tall plant on the other side, branches still all fell forward. Put another trellis in the front and branches fell between all of them. So I had to take string and tie all the trellises together all the way around - basically just wrapped the trellises, with the plant in the middle, with the string - in 3 places along the height from top to bottom. They do have beautiful flower heads. But you really can't see them in all their beauty unless you look up at them from underneath. Mostly all you see is the lighter, muted color of the top of the flower heads and not the bright gorgeous deep blue color of the inside of the flower. Amazing bee attractor, though. And when the wind blows the heads up so you can see the color, they're gorgeous. Just be aware they may grow taller than stated and have to really be staked well. The plants on either side of them don't support this plant near enough and all that staking with trellises and string distracts from the plant. I think you'd need tall plants completely surrounding this clematis so just the heads of the flowers would peek out from the middle of all those around it. Then you wouldn't have the distraction of trellises or string supporting it.

Watching this vid reminds me of taking a Photograph look what is around the area and background and then shoot the pic, or in your case our case plant the plants x. PW as you always use, are hard to get in England our local garden cen do not have that many x I have seen a couple of companies online that do PW plants x

Love this video, I have an area in my front yard that has some bushes in it (not sure what they are, builder planted them) and then I planted some tulips, daffodills and tiger lily's. My tiger lillies are beautiful when they bloom, but I planted them toward the back drop, wondering if I should move them and have them toward the middle and plant some of these other things in place

I live where snow is a very rare occurrence but I have a yard full of azaleas and boxwood and sturdy ferns that are green all year round.

Help I decided to do a succulent garden in a large glass goblet love all the things you do ... all going good except yesterday I noticed mushrooms growing along side my succulent what the hell lol..... new bag of cactus soil and stones y am I now growing veg with my succulents.... I do plan on doing a raised bed for veg ... thanks to laura and her fab garden x
