When I create a topography by entering points above sea level, Revit places the topography up in the sky, despite that fact that I've specified coordinates at level 1 so that "level 1" is 500'.
As far as I know if your building is drawn at 500mm that means it's 500mm above sea level, but your topo is drawn at 50m above sea level then the topo will be 45 m above your building, you have to adjust your building to 50 m above sea level as well. Revit and Auto Cad works on a World coordinate system, so if you enter the property coordinates, then it will give you accurate sun paths and solar studies etc. So you can draw GL at 0 but then when you get your site levels from a surveyor then that will be drawn at an actual level above sea level.
Hi balkan Bro how to calculate without a pad all time i calculate the cut and fill it include pad its not requested because pad will foundation we should calculate it in deferent bcz its concrete not soil Thx for replying
Hello when I created toposurface when I select the whole surface. And try to click on shadow or change to any of the options nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
It makes me sad that Revit stopped supporting the topo addon developed by Eagle Point (I forget what Revit called it.) Eagle Point used points and break line with lots of clever way to adjust them. The 'building pad' barley works and adding or moving points around will get you in trouble when you get confused about which ones are the real ones and which ones you created.
Hi, thank you for your great video. Could you please explain how insert point file from land surveyor’s report? I mean is it possible we insert a group of point coordinate like CIvil 3D for topography?
Very Nice Tutorial sir, here i have one question how can we create roads in revit on a topography site thats having uneven surface but not like the same r u using in this tutorial. please make a video on this topic thanks u a lot for sharing u r valuable knowledge.
Very nice, 💪🏼💪🏼😎 But, I have a building with a garage in the earth, so how can I delete the earth/landscape who ist in my garage? There needs to stay some earth over and under the garage... I just can't delete the earth in my garage :/
Hi your videos really helped me a lot thank you soooo much, can you please make a video about how to render in 3ds max with a revit project ? I'm struggling a lot for my final project Thank you
Have surveyors started doing/developing the Topo Map in Revit? Or are they still doing in AutoCAD? I am asking you to provide your inout and suggestion, if my question does not make sense. I just believe the Surveyors should provide me with a Top Map so I can use as my Site in My Revit Project. Does that make sense to you?
2 things that I don't like in Revit for the Topo Surfaces. #1 - You can not export Civil 3D points with a Dot style because Revit does not recognize DOTS ! So when you import Civil 3D points as a CAD file from AutoCAD or Civil 3D, you have to import points with a cross style. But then Revit is going to create topo points in every ends of the crosses that represent the points, instead of only using the center of the point. #2 - We cannot create topo breaklines to prevent points from triangulating wrongly... I have been spending hours and hours to get a satisfying topo surface in Revit that would match Civil 3D, and I can't make it happen. I understand that Revit ain't Civil 3D, but still.
I am having some issues when creating the subregion. Although it is projected unto the surface when it is created, it is still visible below the topi surface on the ground plane. Hence, you can still see the referenced drawing and the actual projection in my project. This is resulting in confusion. Help please 🤦🏽♂️
Do you knew how to import a 3D Groundprofile with 3 levels and as the top surface a real DGM (Top Surface u have details like highs of street of green areas ). I can import it, but i cant cut it with a Volume in Autocad or Revit. Only in Rhino. So "subtraction body" are not working in Revit I have Autocad, RHino + RHino inside Revit + Autocad Civil 3D
Hello BA, after potting the survey points of my topography, the toposurface ends up floating above my model. Please advice how to make my model line up with the toposurface.
Hi there balkan architect i was wondering how do you record your youtube videos, they just amazing everything voice, tutorials everything is just perfect ?
Be great to have a more technical video that shows how to model vertical drops better, real world things like 6" curbs, curb cuts, and walls into topography.
I have one giant complex topo that I created, not translate from AutoCAD. I find it take more time fixing translated topo However, this giant Revit topo does not allow me to split surface. I was wondering you have solution to it?
Sir kindly help me with a site where i need to create surface out of autocad drawing file if needed i can mail u the drawings. kindly attend my request i shall be highly obliged
muchas gracias super tutorial thank you much. Add me if you want on face book marc fauve formateur autocad. i do autocad and i start to do revit in france. Thank you
