Using a warm compress was highly effective. I didn't have an actual heat pack so I just left a t-shirt in front of the radiator for a while and used that, saw results almost immediately. Gentle exfoliation helps too, you could even do that with a wet washcloth if you don't have an exfoliation tool.

I use trimmers and I still get ingrown hairs. Update: I think it's a blocked pore in my panty line. I had one removed by my nurse practitioner about two -two and a half years ago that was a blocked pore. When she numbed the area, and removed it it looked like a tiny cyst ball that was trapped under my skin. I'll be making an appointment to get this removed too.

Witch Hazel is great for ingrown hairs among other things.

My whole leg is COVERED in reddish scabs because i will pick at my ingrown hairs for hours with tweezers 😭

I used a pair of tweezers to remove an ingrown whisker on my chin. It had started to hurt. Once I pulled it, my chin was better. And not certain why you say not to use tweezers. If it can’t be initially pulled using tweezers, all these other suggestions are probably pretty helpful.

Been working on this ingrown hair for a month. This is to remind myself that don’t resort to a tweezer. Use a safety pin to get it out when hair comes to the surface using the mentioned techniques. It’s not going to pop out by itself.

I just dig them out with the same tweezers i used to dig out my ingrown toenails.

I tried scrubbing a little with a toothbrush and now it looks like I have a hickey on my neck😑

Gentle exfoliating after the steam. Slowly but safely they are coming out and not coming back 😅 All the false info out here. I’m sure this works for most skins types.
