For the calendar I use 4 week seasons and I usually group holidays together in conjunction with real life holiday breaks. The Easter break runs from Thursday to Monday with the Harvestfest break running Thursday to Saturday. The Winterfest break runs from the first Saturday in Winter up until the third Monday, and relocates New Year’s Eve to be six days after winterfest. As a result a spring festival holiday takes place on the final Saturday of winter. In addition i set aside a three week summer vacation for the last three weeks of summer. That vacation has children off from school but adults still having to go to work.

These are great tips! Thank you! I have been trying to use my calendar more often and it helps. I don't use mods in my game but I always do little vacation weeks. I do school vacations for a week in summer and fall. I make a few days before Easter/Flower bunny day (or whatever you would want to call it) in the spring, Thanksgiving and Christmas vacation days too. I have Father Winter come on Winterfest Eve instead of Winterfest day. My sims do open their presents on Winterfest day though. It helps break things up and can make for some story telling. I like your self care day choices! I will have to incorporate a self care day into my calendar! Your sims are so cute!! You always make great sims!

i wanted to ask, do you use any lighting mod in your game? cas lighting too? i'm thinking about playing a vanilla save file, and i really like how your screenshots look on tumblr and your gameplay here too. i always feel like other people's game is prettier than mine :(
I only use a cas lighting mod, I think if you look through my tumblr in the “ask” hashtag I linked it! 🌟 my screenshots look prettier because I use a psd (which is a photoshop file) that has some settings to brighten up the pictures and slightly changed it’s color!
