I didn't really need all these tips but that 50% grey overlay will be super useful for when I'm doing highlights and shadows. I have actually used two layers before and swapped between them. Thanks A lot :)
It is a well covered subject but you always have something new to say. Thank you for an excellent video, interesting as much for the workflow as the techniques.
Great vid. Hate hairs. Most Photoshop people I know use shortcut keys a lot. I get that you use the menu so people can see, but you could perhaps also mention the short cuts. For me, when painting into the layer mask, knowing that the X key swaps foreground/background is very useful to switch between black and white. Once again, great vid. Cheers.
15:21 I'm eating breakfast so I can't check while watching this. But can you do decontaminate colors on a new layer and sample from the other layer? I'm mainly asking because you said the process was destructive and added pixels.
Great tutorial just a quick question when creating the new brush when I go to the edit tab I am only given the option of define new pattern preset. The option for new brush preset is there but not available. I am obviously doing something wrong any help?
There are a bunch of things that can cause that. My main concern when creating a brush is: 1. make sure the layer is selected 2. make sure I drag out a selection 3. make sure I'm working over a transparent background
Hey Nathaniel! Awesome video as usual! QUESTION: I'm curious what software you use to do your screen recordings. (I find using QuickTime gives me lag)(but your vids look nice and smooth with the cursor. ALSO, what ZOOM tool are you using? I would love to know. Thanks so much. James P.
2:19am here in Australia and I’m sitting here watching you do your best hair dresser impersonation on a girl that looks like she’s going to be hit by a car….. Very helpful I might add.
Why do these so-called experts always choose a photo with a solid background and then easily remove the background and then tell us how easy it is. Bullshit. Take a photo where the hair blends with the background and then do it. Let us see how easy it really is. Anyone can remove the background from this photo you chose. Every fucking time they choose an easy photo. Never a difficult one. Never.
