in indonesia, thats some of the methods they taught me to remove bitterness, in the philippines , we dont eat papaya leaves for the reason it is too bitter, to get the most of it, i choose and always do the adding of guava leaves to it while boiling then drink the tea, or most of the time just boil it without adding anything and drink the water, bitterness only reduce by 80-90 %, so by drinking the water tea from it, i get the best benifit already then use the leaves as food instead of throwing it like what people do when making tea leaves, you can choose not to pre boil it if you wish. anyway thanks for visiting and wish you all the best.
hindi ko po alam na nagugulay ang dahon ng papaya kaya po pala yung papaya namin dito is nauubos ang dahon kase may marunong kumain ng dahon ng papaya salamat po sa video
this video is not for making papaya leaf juice or tea, i have separate videos for those which doesnt required to boil then wash, this video is 5 ways or methods tutorial how to reduce bitter taste of the leaves before using it for cooking. other wise it is too bitter. please check my other papaya leaves video for papaya leaf tea(in this just boil the leaf15-20 or more minutes then drink the water, you can use the leaves for cooking. and for fresh juice or extract no cooking required. clean wash the leaves , blend it then strain and drink the fresh juice. thanks for your concern and for the visit. happy weekend!
good point my friend if you noticed though theres one method that i always used is to boil it without adding anything and drink the water as papaya tea, so i got all the benefit at the same time have a tasty dish, in the philippines we dont eat papaya leaves coz it is bitter, i made this video to give audience the choice according to their preferences.and introduce it to my country men to get the benefit from it. thanks a lot for dropping by and for commenting,.keep safe and healthy!
You are boiling the leaves. Then you throw away the liquid which has all the nutrients. Then you add insult to injury and wash the boiled leaves several times. What is left then. Useless leaves.
it is just a suggestion, coz most people though they know it is very healthy they cant bear the bitter taste, as for me personally i choose the method where i dont put salt just plain water, then drink the water as tea, which is very medicinal too, we cant eat it without boiling, it is too bitter, thanks for dropping by though, keep safe always
reduced i might say same as other vegies being cooked , so like green salad we can benefit from papaya leaves wihout cooking btoo bynmaking it fresh juice or tea, thanks for dropping by, take care

thats true, thats why i always choose the pre boiling without adding anything like salt and oil, bcoz i drank the water used bor pre boiling..like the one in my other video how to make papaya leaf tea, anyway papaya leaves is naturally too bitter, thats why its not popular to eat, so this video is jus ta tutorial(if you choose to,) how to reduce the bitternes so that it can be eaten, thanks and appreciate your visit
good point, thats what i believe too, thats why i always do the method of boiling without adding salt or oil then i drink the water as tea, all my indonesian friend they throw the water though, some cannot eat the leaves soo bitter, thnks for dropping by,happy day.
Now, this method is annoying already! What more nutrition can you get when you keep cooking it for almost an hour then keep on washing and squeezing it like washing laundry! Aarrgh!😖
actually its not, the water becomes yellow when you boil a guava leaves which is together with the papaya leaves, after boiling once you put the boiled leaves into the clean white water it will turn brown or yellow , you can try, it is from the boiled leaves, anyway thank you for visiting , take care always
You are doing it all wrong. The first boil that you just threw away contains the madicinal power of papaya leaves. Wala nang nutrients yang over cooked and multiple washed. Review your osmosis.
i normally drink the water i boil the leaves sir, as nutritional tea, but i want to eat the leaves also so i used it for cooking. its bitter, if i dont preboil and wash i cannot eat, but i got most of the goodness from the tea already so can benefit more by cooking the leaves as well for food, thanks anyway for dropping by
